NEVER BOOK THEM for special occasion hair & makeup. Was having them do my hair and make up for bridal shower and then they call me on the morning of saying the stylist has called out sick and asked me to reschedule. So unbelievably unprofessional.

Lauren T. Is fantastic! I have been to several high end salons in the Red Bank area and I’ve spent almost $500 for mediocre results. I told Lauren what I was looking for, showed her a few pics, and she nailed it! She is a hard worker and somehow managed to get a full head of highlights/balayage, haircut, and blow dry (I have a lot hair!) in 3 hrs. Last time I did a full I was at the salon (not Ulta) for almost 6 hours and it was okay. Incredible value for the price! I’m really impressed and looking forward to my next visit!

Great experience today with an associate who helped me pick out a fragrance. I believe her name is Randy though I may be spelling it wrong. I am not experienced I’m being perfume. She helped find the exact type I was looking for. I came in with a request for something to pair with my curl cream that smells like honey, something that I could wear to work at the pharmacy or on a night out, and something that would last long. She showed me a few vanilla fragrances. We eventually narrowed it down to Burberry’s Goddess, and I bought Philosophy’s Warm Cashmere Fresh Cream lotion as well. Before checking out, she brought me a couple samples of another Burberry fragrance I liked (Her) and a CK sample. I found exactly what I was looking for in a matter of 10 mins. On top of this I was immediately asked by an associate if I needed assistance. I’ve been visiting this Ulta for almost 10 years and I’ve rarely been dissatisfied.

i had a horrible experience with the worker stevie. she was rude for no reason. there was a sale going on for the hero pimple patches and when i said that she said in a rude tone “well go get the sign”. I wasn’t rude to her or anything. that type of attitude makes customers uncomfortable and feel judged

I had a great experience today with Angela Nuce / Clinique consultant . She knows exactly what I want !! So sweet and great customer service ! She’s definitely my go to when shopping at Ulta in Holmdel , NJ !! Thank you Angela !!!

Really bad experience today. The customer Service at the Holmdel location has really declined. And reading some of these reviews there are a lot of customers feeling the same way. The manager responds but it doesn’t look like they care at all. Today, I was checking out, the cashier didn’t want to be bothered finding my product on the website. All she cared about was her 15 minute break. She ordered my item and walked away telling another associate next to her “I’m taking my break”. I had other items on the counter that she needed to ring out but just made her own rules and walked away. She never told me that I’d get an email receipt for the online order. I asked the other associate that reluctantly stepped onto her register. WTH. So rude I can’t even believe what I witnessed. It’s not even about training customer service skills to new employees it’s really about someone’s character and respect for others. It’s clear that associate lacked all social graces.

Booked a hair appointment through the app on 9/14/23 for 10/1/23 (well in advance) for my engagement photo shoot that will be taking place later that day. They call me this afternoon (9/28/23) to tell me they double booked my time slot and need to reschedule. That would have been fine if they had notified me when it happened or even slightly after but the fact they are notifying me three days before my appointment makes it extremely difficult for me to find someone who can do my hair that day now. Extremely disappointing to say the least.

Curly haired girls, you need to RUN to Ulta, and have the hair stylist, Jackie do your hair. She is trained in cutting curly hair, WOW does she know her stuff. My hair has NEVER looked this good, WHERE has she been my entire life. THANK YOU Jackie

I went to blowup and Lina was the one who took care of me, horrible experience, she only removed the wetness from my hair, the final result was horrible, my hair was fluffy, and she had a bad face with me all the time, apart from that my hair was ugly.

This is the worst Ulta store with continued bad customer service. East Brunswick’s staff is much more customer-service oriented. It’s so bad at Holmdel’s that they lost my business to ordering expensive perfumes and other beauty products to online instead. First time, I stood online a few times - during the holiday’s long lines - because I was told they would match online price and that store sale price should be same as online. They gave me a different answer at the counter (for a few $ difference) and I cancelled the purchase. Second time was even worse. I wanted to make a new purchase in January and online it says sample gift with purchase. And they told me they won’t honor it because it’s online. Ok, you have small sample perfumes you can ask if I am willing to take those instead. They lost a perfume purchase instead of thinking outside the box or trying to help. It’s a constant “no”, “no”, … to customer questions. They make purchasing so difficult and unpleasant in that store. I am going to try to look for another retailer to set up an account for perfume/beauty points/purchases.

This review is only for the last time i was there which was monday dec 2022...ive been hoing to the holmdel store for over 20 years..most of the associates are wonderful and the manager Noel is tops..wgen i went there it was to exchange a face powder..they gave me the wrong one..i waited on tge ling line and when i got to the register the girl saud she would go grt the right one...she couldnt find it so i went to help her..along came im guessing a manager who helped me and then i followed her back to the register only to have her tell me i had to go back to the end of the long line again...i explained i had already been on the line and waited...she didnt care..she said ..well i have all these customers so u have to get back at the end....they now have lost what they call a Diamond cystomer...big deal

My wife wants a new fragrance for Xmas. Got a ULTA mailer Monday saying if you spend $65 you get a free Robe. Great! She wants a robe also! 2 birds with one stone right?? Of course they didn’t get the robes in yet. I’ll have to call and check and they can only say “before Christmas” Christmas is in 24 days! ! I work crazy hours and don’t have a lot of free time yet you wasted my time! I called another ULTA and they didn’t get them either!!! My wife and 2 daughters spend $1000s here yearly. Not a good look guys. You wasted my time and I’m not chasing this. Stop the advertising you cannot deliver.

Would give this location a -1 if I could. Manager ignored the black and brown shoppers. Only spoke when to customers as they left. She was on her phone the entire time as well. Sephora would never..
