The staff was very helpful, i went earlier in the day when there weren't too many people shopping, but with the help of the staff, i was able to find what i needed.

Terrible experience getting my makeup done on 8/12/23. My face was so dark and my eyebrows looked terrible. When I showed the makeup artist how I wanted my eyebrows done based on how I’ve gotten them done before, she said “every makeup artist is different” in a rude tone of voice. I had to fix my makeup and eyebrows when I got home. I had no time to complain or get the makeup fixed because I had an event to go to. I will never go to Ulta for makeup again. First and last time. I’ve went to both Mac and Sephora and have had great experiences.

If i could give this shop 0 stars, I would have gladly done that. I accidentally scheduled an appointment for a wrong date and was actually looking forward to my appointment. My appointment was cancelled because I didn’t show up (mind you, it was unintentionally scheduled for a wrong date).I went ahead to reschedule my appointment for another date (August 20th). I was running 5 minutes late and professionally, I called the shop to inform them I was on my way but I will be 5 minutes late (I was already on my way and almost at the shop). The lady over the phone refused to let me come in and told me I had to reschedule my appointment. I was disappointed cos I was already at the shop but I went back home.I patiently rescheduled my appointment for the following day (August 21st) for 6:15pm.I got to the shop at 5:55pm (20 minutes to my appointment time) only to find out that my appointment was cancelled by the stylist known as NIURLLY G. 45 minutes to my appointment!!!I spoke to the manager about it and the stylist called NIURLLY G. went on to lie that she called me @ 1:00pm to confirm my appointment (I never received or missed any call from ultra today) so I do not know why she will come up with such a lie.ALL I WANT TO SAY IN SUMMARY IS THIS ULTA SHOP IS FULL OF UNPROFESSIONALS WHO DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

My review is for the Brow Bar and Krystena B….after making the rounds at other various ULTA locations, I was thrilled to see that the Kearny location had someone for brows….let me say, Krystena is amazing! Professional, knowledgeable and quite personable! She styled and waxed my eyebrows quite nicely, since I have “botched brows” ….Krystena was so helpful, especially with suggestions on how to fix my eyebrows….advised me to mix Vitamin E oil and castor oil as both help with hair growth….many thanks, Krystena! ♥️

I was so excited to finally visit this location for the first time on Friday 5/26/23. However, Iwalked out of this store very unhappy with my first visit. First of all, the positive thing about this store is the generous parking. However, I walk in and no one greeted me even though there were two cashiers at the front. Then I knew I needed MAC foundation so I head to that area and the woman that was there doing makeup in the MAC area didn’t even acknowledge me. She clearly didn’t know how to multitask to at least say “hello, do you need help with anything?” She almost brushed against me without saying excuse me while I was kneeled down looking at the different products. girl I was so over it at that point I didn’t even want to buy my foundation but I really wanted to go ahead and get it. Just know I will not be back and I’d rather go to an actual MAC store to get what I need. Or I’ll go to the Ulta location in Garfield instead.

The Ulta in Kearny is a mess. The testers either don't work, are empty or are completely missing. The containers for the testing supplies are empty. Many shelves are poorly stocked. They do not have enough associates on the floor to help. There are 3 associates standing behind the register doing nothing. Their system declined my credit card that was a perfectly good card. Luckily I had another card to use. That's the first and last time I'm going to that location. I wish I took photos to share.

They had everything that I needed. All my questions was answered. I believe the young girl's name was Laurie. She was above and beyond. She was very Patient with me she took her time explaining things to me.

The layout and the stocking of the merchandise need some help. Stock is either non-existent or has been opened and left out long enough to be dry and crusty. The perfume sticks are always hard to find, and they need to refill the coffee beans on a regular basis. I once tried to get a scent out of my nose by sniffing some that took me a while to find, only to discover that the beans had no scent. The staff are never quite sure where anything is or what they even have in stock. Also, I don't appreciate being followed or looked at as if I'm about to run out with the goods I've actually managed to find in my hands. This one employee, I'm guessing she's the manager, always stares me down however, while she's thinking that I'm going to steal something, I saw 2 people steal goods! But she's so focused on me it was disgusting. Gave it 3 stars because when I do go there and the manager woman who is always in my face is not around, I have a pleasant experience.

Employees there are obnoxious, I can't try foundation on in stores, I need to be at home with my own mirror and with my primer on first. I very kindly asked if I could have a small sample from a tester so I could try it on at home.I was told "Oh we don't give samples, go to Sephora if you want a sample."Im sure if the company knew their employees were trying to send people to Sephora they would not appreciate that. You cannot do anything with a sample product. it can't be resold or used for anything but testing the make up so it literally is useless to anyone, get over yourselves !!

I shop at Kearny Ulta. The young women working there are always extremely pleasant. I had a mascara question today and the girl who helped me convinced me the cheaper mascara would work best for me. She was absolutely right and next time I’m there I’ll buy several. Thanks !!

The Cashiers are very nice however the Store Manager (bright red hair,gauge in ear) was extremely rude to a customer who mistakenly thought they used a tester (hair spray). The poor girl apologized but the manager kept on being disrespectful and rude. I wish she would have put her energy and attention to the garbage right outside the door of Ulta (cart with alcohol bottles).

I have been to this store twice and both times no one says hello, no one even knowledges me but while i was shopping i hear the Ulta workers saying, "welcome to Ulta" to two different customers coming in and the difference was that they was dresses well and dolled up. WHILE i was dressed in sweats and sweater(I'm a mom). Makes me wonder are y'all be selected with your customers on who you think has money and will spend... I went second time giving the store a chance since they did just open and close to home but it happened the second time went and i really needed help with matching foundation and no one was around to help and when i asked the cashier for help she told me she couldn't cause she was at register but again a customer came in and was welcomed and helped on the spot, not my best experience i felt i don't know like my money isn't good enough cause I'm not dressed up with makeup. I have no problem traveling further for better customer service and better welcoming at the store to spend my money in.

Second time at this ulta, one time years ago and now recently. The whole time me being there only one employee offered me their help which is fine she was very helpful. I just expected a more organized place and more restocked on items I’m actually interested in. Overall wasn’t a bad experience I hope when I go back they are more organized and restocked on goodies ! ?

Worst customer service!!! I wanted to return an item but the lead cashier declined to take it just because the product was just less then 1/4 of the product. The product was not empty or it was just half of the bottle . Otherwise, I will understand why she declined to take it. Her attitude was disgusting and what I know their return policy I HAVE 60 days to return even if the product was used or not. First time someone has decline to accept to do a return ever in Ulta Beauty. You guys do not follow your return policy and deceive other people by saying you guys accept the product used or not used. I don’t know who train these people to be so rude with the customers.
