I had an issue with the owner in the Plainfield location after he attempted to bully me into purchasing additional insurance that I declined numerous times. I called corporate, filed a complaint and was referred to the Perth Amboy location and referred to Ellis, the owner/store manager. This was the best thing that could’ve happened. He was very polite, courteous, and patient while he transferred all my info from the other location and even scheduled a pickup from Plainfield.. He kept in touch w/me and I had the furniture in less than a week. If you’re in the Plainfield area don’t choose that location out of convenience. Choose Ellis and the Perth Amboy location!!!

Very disappointed in management. My mom has been a customer for years she recently was hospitalized for blood clots to her legs and lung Aaron's told her they will continue to call until payment was received. I'm the daughter who paid and contacted them they ignored and continue to harass her I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and the corporate office really unfair that a long time customer is treated in this fashion.. Once this account is paid off they don't have to worry. The office in Neptune NJ was very professional this Perth Amboy office has no class.

I had been a customer for over years just moved into a new place and for the last 2 weeks have been trying to get a bedroom set, still have yet to talk with a manager so I will purchase the set from somewhere else.

They get real salty when you want to return an item you were only rented for the time being, I tried to return a bed set , they didn't come on the scheduled day (12/7/20) I called numerous times to confirm they were still coming because I've been waiting all day. 1st call I spoke to a man he stated they would be there between 2-4 caller back around 6 and a lady answers she stated they are in the store til 9 and someone would be here before 9. They never showed up. After calling the corporate office the next morning they finally sent someone out (12/8/20 @6:30pm) , they only sent one guy (To move an entire bed set and mattress). The guy entered my home stumbling smelling like alcohol and smoke and he damaged my wall. He fell down one step putting the biggest hole in my wall ! Then tried to say he got injured at my home , but there is camera footage of him catching himself and the end table . I have a flight of 10 or more steps in my home if he fell down the flight of steps while holding an end table this man would be in the ICU not driving the truck back to Perth Amboy. He instantly called his manager who said "I DONT GIVE A F*** ABOUT THE DAMN WALL" which the worker had him on speaker, I replied why wouldn't you care about the wall , you only sent one guy to move a bed set. The manager then says to the worker "you can leave it's a hostile environment",like what??? Not only am I still stuck with this furniture my wall is damaged and no one can tell me who will fix it. What a joke this racist location of an Aaron's is please beware and do not patron. The managers on down to the staff is rude , racist and discriminatory. Oh and their "injured" employee walked down a flight of steps and out to the truck without even a limp ( which is on my ring camera as well) so you tell me what injury he has. That man was drunk end of story.

So I place an online order on October 1st!! I reached out to my local Aaron’s store, witch is the Perth Amboy Aaron’s...a young lady answered the phone ,I had to give her my name multiple times and she kept on putting me on hold without saying she was and I just had to keep repeating myself multiple times!!! So she finally gave me a delivery date, for the 17th another week of waiting, with no type of apologies or anything so I ask to speak to the manager her name is Ortiz the sales manager and she was the rudest manager ever!!! She had the nerve to tell me I should’ve came in the store if I wanna my stuff sooner!!! I was like what it’s a million different reasons why I had to place it online!!! It’s shouldn’t make a differences online says 5-7 business Days to delivery ok cool!!! Don’t get rude about it and you didn’t even try and accommodate this mix up !!! It gets worst ? I reach out to the CS support and tell them what happened, ( they where very professional and very apologetic about the situation) so they telling me my order is coming this week , so I called today 10-15 to check up on my order to confirm it will be delivered this week and I Spoken to another manager Ayless and he was rude also they canceled my order without even noticing me or nothing while the customer service people telling me it’s coming and the whole time it was canceled!!! So I reached out to the Plainfield’s Aaron’s and it was a complete different they where so professional and Elliot the Manager handle everything well and my order will be here Friday!!!!! So that’s my Aaron’s experience !!!!!

If I could put 0 stars I would have. Products are poor quality, customer service is disgusting, especially the manager of this store, and the entire "Rent to own" is the biggest scam anyone could fall for. I wouldn't be surprised if the company goes bust in a couple of years.
