I signed up with Northfield Bank for online banking (Platinum Saving acct) on Oct 6th. Today is the 20th and I am still unable to login to my acct. I have had nothing but problems, setbacks, frustrations, playing phone tag, getting transferred whenever I call, leaving messages that do not get returned, emailing a dozen times etc. The person who told me to call her directly, was not in yesterday (Friday) and will not be back until Wed. I wish I would have known how unorganized and difficult it was to open an online savings acct. with this bank. I would like to take my money that Northfield has already withdrawn from my normal bank and deposit it back into my regular bank, but I can't get to it. It's somewhere in limbo. No one has any answers for me; that and not being able to login is beyond frustrating. Believe me, it's not worth the time, aggravation or effort. I normally bank with Barclays. In over 2 yrs, I have never had one single problem. I chose Northfield because of higher interest rates, but apparently with that also comes higher problems. I will wait another 5 days in hopes to get a hold of the lady who has been working on this with me. Prayfully, this will get resolved. S. V. East Dundee, IL
