This place has great breakfast! Pozole is awesome and the servers have good sense of humor.

Over priced food and chocolate milk, didn’t have enough food so said they could give us half and didn’t make the correction of the total payment half.

Female manager very very rude to everyone. Waited on locals behind us in line before serving us. Yelled at other customers. 30 minutes to get 2 coffees and donut. Won't be back. Dont know how they stay in business. Coffee was terrible, burned pot.

Food was “okay”. Advertises specialty coffee. Only has regular and decaf. A search of gluten free brought this place up and they have nothing gluten free. I’d recommend eating somewhere different.

Tried their chicken fried steak and it was just like back home in Texas!! The gravy was delicious and plentiful, too. Salad was so fresh!! Fries perfect=)

We met friends here for breakfast, and boy was it worth it! Everything was delicious and of course added green chile infusion. The library exchange is a great idea, and I look forward to winter when they start up the wood burning stove.

Great service. This place has a great independent business feel to it. I also loved how they added shade to the tables that they put out to turn part of their parking lot into an outdoor dining area. It made for a pleasant place to sit and drink coffee.Unfortunately, the food was not very good. There is only one item on the menu that is vegetarian, and that is an all-day breakfast item on the children's menu. We found we could order a few dishes without meat, but they were just okay, not good. We were hoping for excellent coffee and yummy baked goods and sandwiches, but this cafe had none of these. I would not recommend stopping here.

The lady at the counter was beyond sweet - she really made for a lovely experience. Breakfast sandwich with crispy bacon and sourdough was just what I needed after a hike in the cold. The hot chocolate tasted like “melted chocolate bars” per my partner. Great, cozy, no frills spot.

The Jason's Special burger was juicy and one of the best burgers I've had in awhile. The rest of my family enjoyed their meals as well. Friendly staff. We were unable to try the bakery section this visit. However, from overhearing other's orders, sounds like it would also be delicious.

What a great honest place with sincere folks working! They are doing their best and following the NM COVID regulations while we should be thankful they are here! Just witnessed a HORRIBLE Texan “Karen” moment on elderly operator because of face mask precautions. I was appalled at “Karen’s” behavior. Just stay home if you cannot be nice to people that are trying their best. Shame on you “Karen”.

The Bakery in Angel Fire has been in business for many years. Stop in for a breakfast sandwich or a good Reuben. You can't go wrong with your order at The Bakery!

They have a nice selection of pastry presented, as well as a cafe. The food and service were very good.

Don't eat here. You will be wasting money.I live in angel fire and l don't go there any more. The staff (especially tall girl) needs to retrained to work in a town that relies on tourism.I wish I could give it 0 stars. The food is hit or miss it was good or very bad. How can you mess up a burger or pork chops that taste like road kill.Super rude and incompetent.
July 2020 by Connie Barnett
I would give zero stars if I could. Rude staff especially tall lady with dark or colored hair. The staff has zero kindness and tolerance if any kind. Food is not even that good. Learn to treat people...we won't be back!

Any comment: Yesterday, while traveling...the following happen to us while in Angel Fire, New Mexico. My husband was aggressively pushed by someone we had never seen at a restaurant and called a pig for having a Trump hat on. The guy who pushed was asked to leave. This was at Enchanted Circle Brewery, Crazy thing was we were there with 8 children and 4 adults .. laughing and having a great time. Then this morning at The Bakery and Cafe at Angel Fire ( we are traveling with 12 people and we were at an outside diner) in line to be seated...told that we had to stand 6 feet apart from our family members, we complied, then told to have our masks on until we got to the table ( outside) , which we did...sat outside at two tables ( because we were not allowed to be together.) Then she came back out and said we had to wear masks until they took out order...which we did....then we just sat for 20 mins..while the staff talked about us.....at which point the rudest one came over and said you are welcome...2 at a time to go order to go...I asked why we ,ere not being served...she said were being refused because we were rude. However, Mike had his Trump hat in and we had Texas Plates...we complied with every silly rule she kept coming up with.respectully. We left...not getting our money....

This restaurant is terrible in regards to low class service and horrible food. Staff stood around talkingp about customers making fun of them and was extremely difficult regarding covid safety issues.

We walked up to place and a black haired taller lady told us to put on a mask until we got to the table, so we did. We got to the table took our mask off, but not much later the same lady told us that we had to keep it on until our food got there . We ordered our drinks and never got them,15 mins later the tall blackhired lady told us that we can't eat at there table because we were "being rude". But which she was the one that was being rude and she told us to get up and go to the to go window and order to go food and leave. Not impressed by this lady at all will NEVER be back here again!!!!!!! I would recommend not going here!!

Horrible place. My friends went there and were treated terribly because one man had on a Trump hat. I will never visit your place. This is disgusting. The waitress and staff were so rude to them. Talk about being racist! This restaurant certainly is.

Good food, good people. I have eaten here twice and glad I came back the second time. Service is very good, even during the Covert 19 scandal.

The waitress was extremely rude, we came and set outside, waited to order, no one came out, went inside got our own menus and set down and waited, no one came so I went inside and placed my order with a guy behind the counter, she came and told us rudely to go outside, sit down and wait for her to place our order, after we have been waiting and no one came. And there were no one but us. She should not be working in places where customer service required. And because of her this place do not even deserve one star and I will never recommend this place to any of my Airbnb clients.

Ok, the biggest problem is that they have a website. The website has a to go menu. After you figure out what 4 x 15 year olds want to eat from their menu, which takes about 30 minutes of course, you call the restaurant to spend probably $80 on food from a menu that is not used anymore and they do not have one online. You need to come in and look at a menu and decide from there. One word if it is a word...ugggg

Have eaten here many times and always a great experience with friendly staff. Not the case this time. Very rude red headed lady running the place this morning. Let's just say she has no idea how to properly treat customers. Argued with us and was very unprofessional. She needs customer service training. Unfortunately, The Bakery lost some very loyal customers today.

There's a short, older lady at the front corner that was extremely rude. She was slamming silverware and coffee carafes around. Should've spent my money elsewhere. Took over 30 minutes to get my to go order. Will not be back, ever.

Was told by a cashier at Lowe's that this was the best (or only) breakfast in town, so we came to give it a try. There was a short, older Hispanic lady that was a complete B. She did not need to be at front counter, but busting suds in the back. I'd give a 0 for customer service, but didn't have that option. Thanks for setting the tone to my Sunday morning! Should've gotten breakfast at Lowe's. To the short, mean troll, do better!

Great little place open during the pandemic. All wearing nose warmers.

We are in Angle Fire for our son’s birthday! We were snowboarded all day then went out and looked for a cake to celebrate. The bakery was closed but they let us in to buy a cake. The lady showed us a cake that was white and had skiers on it with little mounds of snow frosting. We tried to pay her for the cake and she said we could have it! Not only did she let us in after closing but she let us have the cake! I don’t think I can thank her enough. This was such a sweet gesture, so kind and completely made the day so much better. My son loved the cake too. He has been wanting to snowboard for his birthday and this was literally the icing on the cake! Thank you so much for helping us make his birthday that much more special!
