Small, great layout, good descriptions. A nice overview and a great way to spend an hour in Santa Fe.

A beautiful tribute to the works of a cutting edge woman named Georgia O’Keeffe! An artist, sculpturer and visionary, who was years ahead of her time! She lived an extraordinary life, painting, nature and spent her late years in the most beautiful area to paint, New Mexico!Plan about two hours to walk through the museum so you can observe each piece of the Extraordinary collection!

Beautiful works. I had a small idea of who she was before visiting. After, I realize how influential of an artist she was. The collection at this museum is extensive and gorgeous. They even have some of her tools and paints etc. It was a great visit. If you’re into guided audio tours, they provide headphones and have an online audio guide for a slow paced, narrated walkthrough.

An essential destination for art lovers and/or Georgia O’Keefe completists if you’re visiting Santa Fe.Relatively small but an extremely rich experience that is more of a living biography than an art gallery: offers a compelling glimpse into O’Keefe’s life journey that took her from Wisconsin to NYC to Lake George to New Mexico. Contains examples of her more widely-known artwork as well as many of her lesser-known but equally compelling pieces, including sculptures, ripped up canvasses, personal effects, wardrobe, and even some handwritten recipes for a cookbook that was never fully realized and journal entries from some of her trips abroad.TL;DR come for the art, stay for the banana bread recipe.

If you know the New Mexico landscape, you may understand O’Keeffe’s work in a deeper way. Many paintings by O’Keeffe that I had never before seen. Stunning. The exhibit with her easel that bears an outline of the final piece she was working on before her death is an experience worth having.Parking is very difficult, unless you want to park in the $15 a day lot near the museum. We lucked out and found a rare meter - which took quarters or credit card.

Entry is a tad expensive ($20 per person) considering the size of the museum. But if your mindset is imma donate this for the furthering of scholarly research on the topic you can get over it fast.Collection is beautiful, recommend their latest one where you get to see some of O’Keefe’s process and famous paint swatches. Lady was certainly a character.

Awesome collection of art by Georgia O’Keefe and a nice biography of her major events and people that influenced and shaped her life and work.Expect to spend 2+ hours here - it is not a very large museum.Tips: we went on a “family day” which gives free access to the entire family to the museum. Call and inquire ahead of time for their family days.Definitely reserve if you intend to see the museum a particular time of day as early slots tend to get taken and they let u in at the time u reserved
