WORST "CHOCOLATE" I've ever had! Let me preface this by saying I'm a former pastry chef, and know quite a bit about chocolate. I ordered 1 box each of their white, milk, and dark chocolate 5-piece slider boxes. I ALMOST ordered larger boxes, and I'm glad I didn't. I ordered them on April 7th with the intention of having them here for Easter. They arrived on April 15th! Not only did the package take FOREVER to get to me (label was created on the 8th, and the first UPS scan was on the 10th), but the order arrived with HUGE problems. First, the order was wrong. I received the white, milk, and dark 5-piece boxes as desired, but I received FIVE BOXES OF EACH! (On a positive note, I was NOT charged extra for this mistake). Additionally, the boxes are NOT slider boxes, but have cheap acetate lids. So, they're NOTHING like on the website. Next, there is NO padding inside the individual boxes to keep the chocolates from banging around inside. Thus, the chocolates are all scuffed up on the edges and bits of chocolate cover the chocolates and inside the boxes, leaving an unsightly mess. Had they had some padding like ALL other chocolates you get anywhere, they would be some decent looking chocolates. The shipping box was received with some pillow packs inside, and that's it! No invoice, packing list, cold pack, NOTHING! Just the cheap boxes of chocolates and some basic cushioning. Additionally, we NEVER got a shipping confirmation or ANY type of communication other than the automated order confirmation when we placed the order. They never even replied to my email inquiring about our shipment! Now to the chocolates themselves; this stuff was GARBAGE! You know when you open a box of chocolates, and you get that wonderful chocolate smell? Yeah, not with this stuff. Smelled only of artificial flavors and candy melts. NOT real chocolate! The white chocolates are NOT actual white chocolate, but white candy melts or something. Totally artificial tasting. The milk chocolates also taste like they're made from chocolate flavored candy melts. As for the dark chocolates, I couldn't tell if they used real chocolate or not because they tasted like how fingernail polish smells. AWFUL!!! The shells of these filled chocolates were WAY too thick, leaving hardly any room for their nearly tasteless fillings. Some flavors were discernible, but not much. No REAL flavors coming through, only artificial flavorings. We could only stomach a bite of one or two chocolates of each of the white, milk, and dark before we gave up. For a company so large and popular, I was expecting MUCH better than this. I guess that's what happened when a company gets big and chooses quantity over quality. In summary: TERRIBLE chocolates! CHEAP packaging! AWFUL shipping! NON-EXISTENT customer service! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I highly recommend Chocolate Works for kid parties. My youngest daughter celebrated her 8th birthday party here since chocolate is her most favorite food. The process of the party arrangements went so smoothly that it never gave me even the slightest headache. All of the staff members are so polite and works amazingly, that they were able to pull off my daughter's dream party.

Came on a class field trip and one of the workers Sia was extremely disrespectful and rude. Kept my class and I waiting in the rain and slammed the door in my face because of class count number was lower than she expected. Children should never be the ones to be subjected to mistreatment because of an employee's anger over losing out on money. Sia should be ashamed of herself!

My son had a great time at a Chocolate Works party. There were great activities for the kids to do. Everyone was engaged and having fun. They found the decorating very exciting and came away with delicious treats.

A cute place but I am quite a turned off by the owners practices and her behavior. Came here with 2 4th grade classes, Roughly 70 kids and 12 adults. We were a bit late due to traffic. we get in and she separated the kids into 2 different rooms and told the kids to quickly Eat lunch. She then puts on music.... uncensored rap music And showed the kids how she could dab and do the woe, etc. I was shocked. Yes they are minority children and listen to this kind of music but this is an establishment. I would've expected kids bop. STRIKE ONE As she introduced herself and business to the kids in the first room she did an entire up sell. An entire 10 min spiel about how they can have birthday parties there and they can use the stuff in the shelf but not today. And how they can check her out on social media. These kids are 9 & 10 and their parents weren't present. This has nothing to do with why we were there. STRIKE TWO Then as she spoke to the kids I began to wonder if she even liked children. She kept telling them to stop talking, threatening them that if they continued to speak they would get no chocolate nor would be allowed to shop, told them not to ask questions, and her overall tone was not upbeat and pleasant as it should be with children. Again ages 9&10 who have not been given sugar. Come on now. STRIKE THREE I couldn't have gotten out there fast enough. But before leaving I asked her very pleasant and sweet assistant if she's always like this with kids and her music selection and she said yes and she's been told about it before. Clearly she doesn't care. Oh and their actually products. The fudge was so sweet we never finished it. The chocolate covered pretzels and Oreos that we purchased tasted pretty much the same as the ones we make at home.

Terrible Terrible Terrible Bad business ethic. The lady that works at this place is a lair and extremely rude. Unless you are looking for someone to argue with and to ruin your day. Avoid taking your kids here at any cause. I do not know how they stayed in business with such rudeness and negative attitude toward customers.

Chocolate works Brooklyn Heights helped host my daughters birthday party and it turned out amazing. Sia and staff were very helpful. The children AND their parents were taken care of. They came in happy and left happier. Thank you for this great experience, I would recommend and most definitely come back again for another party!

The worst customer service ever to a group of little kids that just want to enjoy their hour makIng chocolate and having fun. Sia hardly cracked a smile during the whole experience and made everyone feel extremely rushed. If you're going to have a place where you hold workshops for little kids who are looking to share the joy of chocolate, maybe it makes sense to have some kid-friendly staff that cater to that audience instead of making it so obvious that you're really just in it to make a cheap quick buck (at $30+tax/pp , that's hardly cheap for such terrible service).

Shop looked cute but the manager was more interested in her computer than us, the customers. Additionally, she didn't know her truffles well and she touched our fudge with her bare thumbs when placing them in the box.

Watered down hot chocolate. Maybe because I chose skim milk? Also, don't get the truffles
