Very happy with the outcome! Jenna did a great job mixing the perfect color to match my original dark brown which most places couldn’t do for some reason. Hair looks shiny and healthy since then. Will definitely be back :)

Coral gave me probably the best haircut I have had in my life. I have long hair as a guy, and I am always incredibly cautious trimming it, while still maintaining its length. This was the first time I have been to Cutler Brooklyn, and I was hesitant. My hesitation transformed into bliss, as Coral was incredibly patient, listening to exactly what I wanted, and then masterfully sculpted the mirror image of what I had in my imagination for the haircut. On top of that, she is incredibly sweet and caring, and it felt like I was being taken care of by a family member.. the entire experience was moving :)

Excellent salon and stylists/staff! Especially Blakely (gave me the perfect cut and was so sweet). Did not feel rushed at all, as you often feel at other salons, and really loved getting my hair cut here. Can’t wait to come back! It can be daunting to find a salon and stylist you trust, especially with an overload of options in NYC, but this spot is amazing and I will be recommending to all my friends too!

Arden is the best colorist I have ever had! She got my honey blonde perfect and blended everything together so nicely while doing a double process, making sure my hair was the healthiest it could be! Not only is she amazingly talented, but she is also so genuinely nice and sweet, making sure I’m comfortable and happy! I can’t wait to see her work her magic again!

Huge shoutout to Coral! She is so tentative & kind. Will listen to your ideas & is a super clear communicator. I liked how we talked through the whole cut & color plan. She has great judgement & suggestions based on your hair type & color. :)) Did an amazing job in helping me achieve a low maintenance, summer highlight.

I had an amazing cut with Coral! I actually selected her not knowing much about her other than some Google reviews and her IG. I was blown away at how methodical she is and how technically precise the cut was! I had suffered a prior cut that I had worked hard to grow out, so this micro trim was crucial for not only my own sanity but for me to continue growth. She has such a lovely calm demeanor and we connected on a passion project we both are working on. Overall even though the Brooklyn space is not as large as soho, everyone is so nice here (especially Jasmine, at the front desk!) It was a lovely way to spend my Sunday and I will surely be returning to see Coral!

I had the best experience at Cutler! I am a first-time client since I am only visiting New York for a few days. Coral did my hair (haircut and single process color ), and it looks amazing. She got my wavy big hair to sit in a gorgeous shape, and the color is just perfect. Highly recommended!

I'm not one to leave reviews ever but feel the need to recount this bad experience. I booked an appt online for a hair cut although I just needed a bang trim. I figured it might be confusing so I called days ahead to clear up that it would just be a bang trim. Their policy is if you see your original stylist, bang trims are free. If not, then it's a flat rate of 25$. Fair. In the past I've paid the $25 for the bang trim. I showed up on time, waited about 10 minutes and the man who came over to get me didn't even introduce himself. After some searching I can confirm his name is Sam Bullen. I sat down to explain I need my overgrown curtain bangs trimmed about 3 inches. He told me this would be more than a bang trim and that he would charge $50 to do it. He had an attitude when he spoke to me. He didn't explain why this would not be considered a bang trim. He was quick to get me out of his chair & said he'll see if anyone else working is willing to do it for $25. I waited another 5 minutes & then he came back and told me no one else was free. The entire interaction lacked basic customer service. He was arrogant, pretentious and rude. I booked the appointment a week in advance and came all the way to Williamsburg just to be turned away over 25$. I'll never come back to this place again & after reading other reviews I see I'm not the only one who feels the customer service here is seriously lacking.

I was recommended this spot by a friend. When I got to the salon, I had to wait a half hour before I even started getting my haircut. The haircut was extremely rushed, there was no product used and it was not blow dried. I asked for face framing layers but only got two very small pieces of hair on either side of my face cut (referred to as a “fringe”) which looks ridiculous. All in all, I’m extremely disappointed with the cut that I paid $190 for.

This was my second time getting my haircut by Leila, and I think she did a wonderful job. She is patient, listens, and is really good at understanding your vision.
I highly recommend getting your haircut by her.

I’ve given them so many chances but they never deliver. At the price, I’d expect to look great coming out but for some reason I always look worse than when I entered. I added a star because the front desk is very kind and they will reschedule you for a complimentary service yet I still leave with a mediocre cut.
