Through some convoluted mistakes on their end and some misplaced caution on mine, I ended up paying more than I had agreed to pay for a year of home owners with this office. Despite the receipts and signatures and agreements, they would not return the overpayment.
I canceled my policy and filed a complaint with NYDFS which I won, state farm returned the overpayment.
Please be aware that they are not on your side and will not advocate for you, as much as it may seem that they are.
