Best pizza and wings around! Everything cooked to perfection.
March 2019 by Catrina Jones
I work in the food service industry and typically work evenings and weekends. Last night while I was at work I decided to order food for my family at home. I most often order from local businesses because the community's support is what keeps them around. Last night I ordered from Nima's in Clifton Springs. After 4 phone calls to them my $50 order arrived to my family 2 hours later. The food was cold and mostly wasted, my kids fell asleep while waiting. This morning I called and spoke with the owner to explain my disappointment. She was hostal and asked "what would you like me to do about it" condescendingly. When I tried to explain my frustrarion she hung up on me.

The calzones are amazing! We add ricotta!

I just called and ordered for delivery. The women taking orders over the phone was extremely rude and one point I had to say “you don’t have to be rude”. She changed her tone afterwards but couldn’t believe how disrespectful she was on the phone. I even heard her grunt. If I ever spoke to someone like that, now that tone at my job, I would lose my job. Date of order 1/29/2019 @ 5:50PM. Check your staff!

The food is great but when I ordered 2 dozen wings and a piece of garlic bread and my order came to 32 bucks my head almost exploded.

Nice small-town setting with great food and service. My dad became a fan of buffalo wings after having them here

Ordered just a cheese pizza. It was amazing compared to other pizza places. The cheese on it was like it had been ordered with extra cheese. The sauce was just right. Its 9 miles from me and I will drive those miles for this pizza..

Great pizza, comfy, clean and friendly atmosphere, and good owners. If your driving by stop in for a slice or more. You won't be disappointed!

Just bought a xl pizza from there tonight 9/8/18 and it was awesome! I don’t care for crust but that was the first thing that I ate first! Great food and you have a new customer!!!

Last time we got their wings and pizza it was great. This time the pizza had no sauce and the wings weren't crunchy and the sauce tasted like it had been around a while. Very disappointing since we spent 45.00 dollars !

Good solid pizza. Nice thin crust. Hoagie I've had are great as well.

Nima's was recommended to us by a co-worker that said it's the best and worth the drive. We decided, as we were travelling home from a weekend away and coming upon Clifton Springs, to stop and try it out ourselves. We love pizza and always like to try new places we haven't been to yet. We sat and ate right at Nima's and the pizza was delicious just like we were told it would be. While we were there people were constantly coming in to pick up orders. It was a busy place which goes to show you it's popular. We live a couple towns over which gives us a bit of a drive but we definitely would go back.

Really liked this place! The wings were nice and crispy and lots of sauce. The pizza was just like a thin New York City pizza. Very tasty. I travel to this area several times a year and am somewhat of a pizza and wing critic and would highly recommend!

I would've rather messaged directly than leave a negative review, but for weeks no one responded. We ordered 2 dozen wings and a large pepperoni that came to just shy of $40. We wanted to try something new and are sick of paying overpriced Geneva prices. So based on the menu that is on the nimas webpage, and this facebook page, I ordered expecting around $30. When we called, we were told what the "real" prices are, and they don't know who makes the website. I think it's really kind of dishonest to post wrong prices and then not take responsibility for it. We may be out $10 this time but we'll look for a different place to go next time. We were order 34 on May 4.

Delicious pizza in always worth the trip

Yayy!!! Pizza party at work for lunch!! Ordering pizza and wings via phone. Very easy and clear. Pizza came in to the office on time. Pizza was warm enough to not microwave. The strongest suit pizza wise was the tomato sauce. It tasted great. I would say average over all in taste and texture. Chiken wings were not bad. Texture was ok. I will say the the buffalo sause was not overpowering, it was well balanced. I would just improve in the amount of blue cheese sause per container. I will shout out the integrity they showed me when they gave us an extra half pie cheese pizza because they made full pepperonie pie when we ordered half cheese half pep. Well done Nima's!

Just awesome. Best pizza around, and there are many choices available. Have known the owner for years. Just plain good.

I would leave a zero if I could. I just arrived from Texas to visit family and placed an order. I was quoted $48, gave my card information, and paid over the phone with a gentleman. I received a call 5 minutes later by a lady that said the actual price is $71! I hadn't done the math, but still questioned the change. Upon checking the prices online the total would not have been correct originally. It would have been $53. I called back. I was told by the lady (which confirmed with her manager) that the prices online are not correct and they will not honor them. They can send a menu if I'd like. No, I'd like them to practice fair business and honor the prices they have online. I find this very unfair and in poor taste as a business. If you are from out of town this place will take advantage of you. I am shocked to say the least.

This is true Italian Food. Owners are both from Italy. The owners will even cook an wait on customers. During the summer it is a bit warm in there. But the food is fantastic. Whatever you order you will not be disappointed. This is a good place to bring the family too. The prices are lower than most other Italian restaurants. This is my favorite restaurant in the entire village.

Limited menu as you would expect in a pizza place. My sub was good. It was fair value to price. Reasonable places to sit. Bathroom was awkward. Clean for a pizza place. Looks like they do a good business.

Food: ordered two toasted subs and both were excellent. We are Clifton Springs natives back for an overnight visit and were hoping for classic NY toasted subs and we were thrilled to get what we had hoped. The bread was great, the meat was plentiful, and the sandwiches were the best we had in years.Value: around $7.50 each per large sub which is a good value. Well worth the money spent.Service: pretty average. Older lady who served us seemed worn out and overworked although they had only been open for 3 hours and weren't very busy. But unfortunately there's more mediocre service these days than service to brag about.Overall a great visit and I strongly recommend their subs.

I first encountered Nick (the owner) almost 40 years ago when he opened his first place in Palmyra, NY, and quickly became spoiled by living across the street. His pizza is hands down the best I've ever had. The crust is thin (my preference), but still crisp. There is a perfect combination of sauce and toppings. I live in Raleigh, NC now, but visit my daughter and grandsons every summer, and a trip to Nima's is always part of the trip - sometimes twice. If he ever retires he'd better make sure he passes on the secret to making such consistently good pizza.

Will never go here again bought 2 slices. My son went in there with a $20 came out with $7 and some change. Then she says it's his fault and he being dishonest. When he was in car with me whole time and emptied out his pockets. She messed up and pretty much blaming him??? Never will I step foot in there again. You really need to do some math classes or possibly get your eyes checked. Not good for business. Sad cause I been a customer over 30 years when it was in Palmyra. But don't think for once it was my son cause I seen how airheaded she can be.

This hands down the best pizza place in the world. Every time I come back home to visit family we get pizza from here at least twice. By the slice or a whole pie you can't go wrong.

I first had this when my neighbor ordered it and invited us over for pizza. I usually go to Greenfront in Canandaigua or Cam's in Geneva for pizza as I am new to the area. I was very impressed. The pizza had a great texture and had all those yummy crispy bubbles on the bottom of a nice, flavorful and chewy crust. I cannot stand bland, over-bready crust like Mark's pizza. Next, the cheese was very rich. I think they use whole milk, good quality or even a mix of mozzarella and provolone because it really stood out. We LOVED it. Then, we visited the pizzeria a week later. The person at the counter was a little odd. She seemed spaced out. It was a very hot day and we picked the coolest place in the joint. There isn't any air conditioning and it would have at least been nice to have a oscillating fan at least. The boneless wings were very good and the pizza was once again delicious. We will be back, but not on a hot summer day.

Meh. We order pizza from here because it's closest to us and they don't charge a delivery fee. The pizza is okay, but lately the prices have gone up and it seems like they've started putting more cheese on/in everything. I recently ordered a calzone (and they were out of ricotta?!) and it was mostly all mozzarella cheese. I almost felt sick after eating some it and it caused the crust to become soggy and fall apart. Other than that, the food is decent and we'll continue to order from Nima's.

Nimas PIZZA is out of this world!! We ordered the Garlic Crust Sausage and Pepper Pizza (picture added). The crust was soft and not doughy or soggy. The sausage was perfect and the banana peppers paired well. If you're in the area, you must order some Nimas pizza.
