Stopped here for a quick meal & it was a pretty gross experience. The pizza looked fresh so we went with it, only to find once biting into it that it was stale and old. The pepperoni was greasy and the guy seemed annoyed that we were there (the only ones there) and expecting him to do his job?? Only reason for the extra star is that the rest stop is relatively clean.. save your time & money.

staff person advised that they were making more pizzas but only had mushroom at current time. Pizza was hot, just what we needed to get a quick bite to eat while traveling.

If you love this place then we will have to agree to disagree. I don't want to Sbar with you about it. You know what they say. One for Sbarro, two for joy. This is the pizza place at the rest stop. I'm not sure it qualifies as pizza, as it looks like it's been sitting there for hours. The pasta looks like it's weeks old, probably frozen and barely warmed up. I looked at their pizza options and decided not to order anything, and the employee acted like I had wasted her time and gave me a mean look. I guess you can come here if you're really desperate. The girl got a slice, or rather I bought her a slice, and it was, well, you know. Meh. I think I only had 2 bites. And thems weren't big ones. Sbarro was actually my first-ever meal in America. When I was 16 years old. In New York City in Times Square. I know that's stupid. So when I yell at people for eating the wrong things I'm actually yelling at my teenage self as well. Anyway I've only eaten at Sbarro about 10 or 15 times since then which is not a lot considering it was quite a few years ago. I just don't like them very much and only in an absolute emergency will I go here. Or if the girl I'm with is like "pizza!" And I'm like, that's not pizza. But what can you do. I'd give it a 3 except their prices are higher than even the Times Square Sbarro (I know, right?) because it's on a Toll Road Thruway where there are no real alternatives. Speaking of thruway, can I see yours?

Nice food and bad price

I can't believe that I'm not only reviewing a Sbarro, but that I'm giving it more then one star. I was on my way to Connecticut on Friday night and ended up stopping at the rest area for a meal I could eat in the car. I have been casually making fun of Sbarro's now for the last decade and never thought I would actually eat at one again, but hey, here I am. The line was a decent size but moved pretty fast. I ended up getting a piece of cheese and pepperoni pizza along with a small cup of pasta (ehhh, debatable to call it that). The pizza was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be and I honestly kind of enjoyed it? Who would of thought. The pasta however was terrible, it kind of tasted like macaroni was left on the counter for a few days and then they poured some bad cheese and sauce on it, honestly I don't want to think about it anymore. I'm going to give Sbarro a nod for the decent pizza and fast service but the horrible pasta will keep me away in the future.

Fast food version of pizza. Very limited varieties. Quality is not as good as the locations in the malls. Employees seem to lack motivation. The day I stopped here, the line was very long with only one person taking care of customers. Other employees were standing around.

This is a thruway stop. Nothing special just needed dinner on my way to see my granddaughter.

I'm not one to usually pay $3.75 (inc. tax) for one slice of cheese pizza, but theirs is out of this world! Fresh and delicious and just what I needed to hold me over until I got home and keep me awake. To me, spending a little more to get recharged is worth it. Used the clean bathrooms there on the interstate and there's an area to enjoy your choices. They also have a small Italian buffet if you're extra hungry. The staff are also friendly and helpful.

While I wasn't expecting much from a service plaza restaurant, the meal was terrible. $14 for a small plate of spaghetti, Caesar salad, a breadstick and a drink. While none of the options looked promising, I can't imagine them being worse than my choice. The spaghetti was the worst I've had. The salad was the only item I had any hope for yet it was soggy and the croutons were just gross. I would have been upset spending 5$. I won't be eating at Sbarro again.

The Sbarro at the Clifton Springs Rest Stop on the NYS Thruway is the WORST experience I've every had with a chain restaurant. The counter was operated by two twelve year olds and there was no food in sight and none being made. The two dinky pieces of pizza that were found were ludicrously priced. Not to mention the little brat dropped my brothers pizza and was extremely rude to my mother. These kids are not qualified to run a restaurant and this site is a disgrace to the Sbarro brand and the NYS Thruway.
