Scam. Gas attendant says they only offer supreme gas. Sounds like the owner is trying to make an extra buck

Updated review post covid: still absolutely amazing food, drink, and service. I would give Jora ten stars if I could. No Happy Hour for now, but they might bring it back soon so look out for it. Large outdoor seating space, beyond delicious food and presentation with fair prices, and as a beverage specialist their cocktails will blow you away (shouts to Joshua at the bar- try the Nikkei Flor cocktail!) Do not even think twice about coming here.

Every time I see top reviews for restaurants I get extremely excited as I know I'm gearing in for a great dining experience. This was sure it at Jora. When we arrived we were quoted a forty minute wait but knew it was well worth it. There was a lot of people in line so be sure to come prepared to wait (or come in an off day). We were quickly seated and started with their drinks, I did their hibiscus drink which was insanely good. I would come back here just for their delicious drinks. Now on to the serious stuff, we started with their leche de tigre and salmon skewers, this was extremely delicious. The leche de tigre was a bit sour but this is the flavor you're searching for. The skewers were served in this honey mustard glaze which was to die for. Our entrees were lomo saltado and jalea. The lomo saltado was extremely delicious and a blend of flavors that went extremely well. The jalea was yummy and freshly fried, it also came with a sauce that complimented the onions and seafood very well. We ended the meal with a tres leche, this was also delish. It was the perfect blend of moist, tasty and sweet. Overall, believe all the reviews speaking about how wonderful this restaurant is. The service is impeccable, the food is to die for and the drinks will surely give you a nice buzz!

I came after a day at Gantry, and I was excited to try Peruvian food! My group of 10 was seated in their outdoor area, which gets a little chilly when there's wind, and it was nice and spaced out adequately. I opted to order the Lomo Saltado, which was skirt steak cooked with onion, tomatoes, and potatoes. I also ordered rice, which is an additional 2 dollars. This meal was delicious! The meat was cooked medium, and it was tender, juicy, and flavorful. If you have ever had beef cubes at a Vietnamese restaurant, this dish is similar. I highly recommend this dish! I even bought an order to take home. My friends got the calamari and the shrimp and pork fried rice (I am not sure what the menu name for these actually are). They said that the calamari was alright, but the yuca on the side was good! In addition, the fried rice was tasty but tasted burnt (it was not actually burnt). The dishes were both decent, but the Lomo Saltado is definitely the star of this restaurant!

Absolutely love this place! The food is delicious and the service is great! My second time here and it definitely won't be my last. The owner and the staff come to the table to check up on you and see how the food is and if you need anything. The staff is super sweet! Such a cute spot for a date night or dinner with the girls. Celebrating my birthday with my husband tonight and I'm so glad I chose this place! I definitely recommend trying this place! We live in the Bronx and traveled to Queens to enjoy this food!

In Long Island City with outdoor dining during Covid. Has its own parking lot across the street! Good was amazing along with Sangria. Great service and accommodated our large group.

Jora is a hidden gem in the LIC neighborhood serving up Peruvian/Nikkei cuisine. It's certainly on the pricier end, but their quality more than makes up for this (perhaps portions could be slightly bigger). Try their ceviche and crispy shrimp among some of their wonderful dishes. The citrus acidity brings a freshness and brightness to all their dishes. Not sure why this restaurant hasn't caught the eyes of the press yet, but you ought to try before they become a go-to in New York.
