The space and the staff are great. A group of us dropped in for a Saturday workout, and had a fun time. Would definitely come back.

Went there for a couple of months as it was close to home. The program was fair but it felt short on cardio, and I felt I needed to add a 30 min run on top of the workout to stay in form. So if you're looking to get lean and in form, as opposed to build strength and learn some skills, it's probably not enough. Most of the coaches were good and accommodating, but there was one in particular who was inappropriate and unprofessional, seemed to have problems with authority and boundary setting which made things quite uncomfortable for some.May have been worth it if you could avoid the bad apples, but it's difficult as their schedule doesn't update correctly.Overall, not worth the hassle.

As one of the members that is older in age, I wanted to share my story a bit. My kids literally grew up at this gym in the kid’s classes then the teen classes and now they take regular adult classes and one of them is a CrossFit coach. You would’ve thought I would have joined long ago, but I didn’t. Every time I walked in and saw the workouts I was completely intimidated. Fast forward to the pandemic, my husband and I decided it was time to take care of ourselves and we started workouts in the park with one of the coaches, then moved to private lessons until the coach moved away and we started the regular classes. The idea of taking a regular class was a bit scary for me but I went with it and have never looked backThe gym: is a large space, equipment is always organized and properly put away. They have always taken pride in keeping the gym looking good and clean, there is cleaning supplies to wipe down your equipment. The staff is amazing they are all patient, knowledgeable, and always, supportive. The workouts are different every day, so they wake up muscles you never knew you had. The coaches walk around during the work out to make sure everyone is doing the movements correctly, to avoid injury. The coaches are your biggest cheerleaders and motivators. The gym community is well, just amazing, everyone pushes each other, we cheer each other on and help each other when needed. The comradery at this gym is shown daily. There are also get togethers, which are fun because you can catch up with fellow members but meet people that go at different times/days.And yes, it looks intimidating and it’s hard. But it’s also so rewarding and I have never felt this good before. There are scaling options for every exercise, trust me I know, I have tried every scaling option there is..LOLSince starting the regular classes, we have made it a family affair, my husband, my two boys, my sister-in-law and I all are taking classes. So, stop by, take a class, or just sit and watch a class. But most importantly join this great community.

My second year visiting New York. I finally get to check out CrossFit gyms. 5 stars, 5 smiles, 5 fist bumps and some love. The members here are friendly. The cheer you on and while suffering tell you stay strong. Amazing people. I was so grateful they were not clicky and they did not make you feel as if you was bothering them. I felt very felt very comfortable and at ease. Everyone knows walking into CrossFit no matter how long you have been in the game. It can be intimidating. Thank you for making my visit nice and smooth. The coach was amazing and so full of energy. He started the good vibes of friendliness, helpfulness, and comfort. The member added the icing on the cake.I only went to one other gym while visiting. The other one (I won’t name because you may get a better experience) has nothing on how great CF Gentry made my first impression and experience just wonderful. I will not looking into checking out different ones. I will always come back here. Thank you!!!!!

Trained in CrossFit Gantry for almost 2 years. Great coaching staff that cares about you and pays attention in every workout. Good facility that is well maintained. During tough Covid times they tried their best to accommodate everyone and keep everyone healthy and safe. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

New to the area and joined right away. Awesome place to go and train!! Took 5 personal classes with Jay before jumping in full throttle. Everyone is so welcoming, and willing to help/push you further throughout your CrossFit journey. Consider this a heartfelt recommendation from a new Gantry member.

Returning to crossfit after a couple of significant injuries I wanted to make sure I was in a gym that took peoples individual needs as seriously as they did building community. I think I've found both at Gantry. The coaches are so encouraging and really do get the best out of you BUT they also listen, are so knowledgable and ready with really great scaling options so I still feel like I'm getting the best work out. It's unusual to find a crossfit gym that spends so much time on warming up and then on movement (usually that's like another class you have to do) but Jay and his team of coaches take form and movement really seriously. Sound boring? It's not. I've had two really painful injuries and it feels really good to be around people that know crossfit and lifting, appropriate and effective scaling and are fun and encouraging.

Joined CF Gantry about 8 months ago. Went to most of the daily crossfit sessions and several olympic weightlifting classes, rain or shine. The place definitely takes the covid situation seriously and does a splendid job of air ventilation and public hygiene. I admit the fee is pricey for new joiners but it's definitely worth the buck if you're a type of person who performs better around the crowd with good workout programming.
