“Stumbled on this store and they have all sorts of holiday, seasonal, and everyday items for really cheap!!! You can basically find anything in there. Reminds me of the dollar store from my hometown. It is also massive and has lots to choose from. I bought some Christmas items for the house and gift wrapping. Price can’t be beat for nyc!”

“Love this Nordstroms. an entire store of men's clothing, The cocktail bar on the second floor is also very nice. The men's grooming professional on the back side of the first floor is the best. honest and knows his products. The sales in the men's departments are also worth a look I have found many great designers at low prices.”
“It’s such a perk having a Nordstrom Pickup in the neighborhood. This location is fast, convenient, and consistently welcoming — the staff are friendly, helpful, and make the whole process easy. The store is very clean, and organized, so you’re in and out quickly.
There’s also a fitting room, which is great if you want to try things on right away and return anything that doesn’t work. For quick pickups, easy returns, and smooth service, this spot makes online shopping feel effortless.

“HomeGoods is one of those stores where you can walk in without looking for anything specific and still find something worth taking home. There are always deals to be had, and the selection is constantly changing, which makes it interesting to browse.
The downside is that it can be difficult to find someone on the floor when you actually need help. Sometimes you’re on your own trying to find an item or get an answer.
Still, I enjoy visiting here. The selection keeps things interesting to keep me coming back.”
“Muji on Fifth Avenue in New York is very easy to visit. It is directly opposite the public library. The store is quite large and has two floors. The items are very complete and the prices are not expensive. Basically, the prices are not much different from those in Asia. Plus Items under $100 are tax-free in New York State. Overall, it is very affordable. There is a small food area on the bottom floor near the checkout counter. The spreads look particularly attractive.”

“I really enjoyed my experience at this Kiehls. I went in opened to get some items I researched myself and whatever else I could find to fix my concerns. The staff member, Lydia, was so pleasant to work with. She did a scan of my face and went through my results with me. What I liked most is she was honest and did not take advantage of my vulnerability. She explained what was best and I walked away with everything I needed and saved on the things I thought I needed but were not the most advantageous based on my results. The store is consistently well organized and easy to browse, and there always seems to be something new to discover. I especially enjoy checking out the Japanese snacks, food, beauty products, and all the little finds you don’t see everywhere else. I rarely leave empty-handed!”
“Spotted: Me stepping into the FAO Schwarz downstairs Nordstrom, expecting a quick visit… but fate had other plans. Because waiting there were Barra and Valeria, two sales queens serving customer service so flawless it could’ve been scripted for a 2010 CW episode.
Let’s start with Barra or as the Upper East Side would call her, B. From the moment she greeted me, she didn’t just assist… she elevated the entire experience. The way she made me feel genuinely special? It was giving “main character walking into the Met steps with a secret only Gossip Girl knows.” Her attention, her charm, her energy all iconic. Blair Waldorf would’ve nodded in approval, and trust me, Blair doesn’t approve of much.
And then there’s Valeria, the perfect counterpart. Effortlessly cool, polished, and ready to jump in at exactly the right moment. She’s the Serena van der Woodsen of customer service calm, stylish, and somehow making everything feel seamless without ever breaking a sweat. When Barra was dazzling, Valeria was right there keeping the vibe smooth, supportive, and totally professional. A duo so synchronized, even FAO’s toy soldiers would whisper about them.
Together, these two turned what could’ve been a simple shopping trip into a full‑blown Upper East Side moment: sparkle, charm, and customer service so good it deserves its own anonymous blog blast. They made me feel seen, valued, and just a little bit like royalty or at least like someone who brunches at the Carlyle and never waits in line.
If you want an experience that’s warm, fun, and sprinkled with just enough drama to make you feel like the star of your own episode, go see Barra and Valeria. Trust me, even Gossip Girl would post about them.

“A gen within the Chelsea market, with an array of treats and meals. I highly recommend the bulgogi kimbap, it was made with quality ingredients, including radish that adds to its refreshing taste. The Laksa was delicious with heaps of noodles in a curry sauce that is well seasoned. What I didn't take a picture of was the matcha brown sugar bubble tea and boa buns. It was super convenient to try so many items in the same place. It was orderly and food was served quickly. The staff was so friendly amongst the bustle of Chelsea market.”
“It’s mostly a clothing/apparel store but you can find unique kitchen/beauty/cosmetic items that you didn’t know you needed. Clothing sizes tend to run small but there are some items that fit bigger folks. The jinbei was very comfortable.”

I've picked up funny t-shirts for myself and family members and friends, hilarious kitchen towels, and more over the years. While they do carry a lot of cheaper, knock-off Asian goods, it's worth stopping by to see the more kitsch items and maybe by something that will make you laugh.”
