“I was in the front lines and caught Covid March 2020 extremely badly. So about 2-3 month later, I finally got better and realized my car wouldn’t start or cutting on and off even it did. To my surprise, I got my silver ford fusion to the only shop opened and available. They fixed the problem (bx rats had eaten my wires completely for an entire month on the street and set up shop) immediately. I will never forget the kindness and compassion I received from the owner and his hard working staff. They never tried to up prices on me or take advantage of me. They gave me tips on how to combat the problem and I will forever be grateful. Thank you! You have my support always!!!!”

“Almost stuck without gas in Manhattan close to midnight leads you to an unpleasant discovery that gas stations are a dying breed, almost extinct, in this encroaching 15-minute city dystopia.
After driving on fumes and anxiety, and passing through one station which shall not be named, erroneously (maliciously?) reported as open 24/7 - but sealed shut for tonight - arriving to this unassuming little Shell, an island of gasoline sanity amidst the communist “you’ll own nothing, and you’ll be happy” urban hellscape, felt as finding a spring in an icy New York desert.
And, although I was half-expecting a kidney extraction and sales roach coach nearby, the prices were reasonable.
Thank you, Shell. I can now safely drive home from the city that never sleeps - and, apparently, never fuels cars.”

“Under new management, this station is transformed. They do everything, and do it well. David, the new owner/manager, runs a great ship devoted to making every customer happy. So much better than the treatment I received at the old place. While waiting for my car, I watched as David took time to give careful explanations to customers about the things their cars needed to have done. As busy as the place was, I heard him talking patiently to customers on the phone. I am shocked at the bad reviews. Not my experience at all.”

David, and his nephew took over this business 4 weeks ago, and they are terrific reliable mechanical experts who only recommend what you really need and get the job done so efficiently and professionally. Their services are outstanding including their pickup service which is super convenient and hard-to-find in the city! And price was also muuuch better than the others. Feels like I finally met a mechanic who I can trust when I have another car issue.”

“I first visited this garage looking for help with a dead battery in my car which was parked a few blocks away. They let me borrow their portable jump starter which was fully charged and ready to go. 20 mins later I was back with my car and they replaced the old battery for me. I can't remember the last time it was changed so it was probably time. Then I asked about a NYS Emissions inspection which was the reason I went to get my car and they advised that I needed to go for a drive first given the new battery and that after checking the ODBII found that the old battery had been dead for so long that the memory had been wiped from the cars computer. Once I returned the inspection was done very quickly. The staff were very friendly and professional. I will return if I need work doing on my car.”

“This is my go-to gas station. The prices are fair (cash same as credit) I feel safe there, it is well lit, convenient location from both broadway coming off Henry Hudson & Riverdale ave. It's easy to get in and out quickly because they have multiple entrance/exits, and plenty of room to get around other cars. I am pretty sure they have an air tank for for tires. This is on the boarder of Riverdale & Yonkers. If u need to do errands, just go north on broadway, there is everything u could need, including a pretty good diner w convenient parking. Owners of this Citgo are very friendly! The mini-mart has breakfast & sandwiches. I don't go to any other gas station unless I am not in the area.”

“These guys helped us in a pinch. We had stayed in Times Square for a few days and parked at a garage near our hotel. Before that we drove 12+ hours to NYC.
We got a few blocks away from the parking garage this afternoon and I see the tire pressure light is on. It's my passenger rear tire coming in at 18 psi. Other three tires are 35/36 psi.
I punch in a gas station as we traveled north and Google Maps led me to this Mobil station. It's a strange station, never seen a setup like this before, but it was kind of cool too.
I had a guy come help me right away. I explained what was going on and he asked me to move down a bay, closer to the air hose.
He put a few bucks on for air and filled my tire up. He had a soapy water he sprayed all over the tire. That helped him find the leak by finding the bubbles. He pulled a broken nail out and plugged/patched the tire, permanent fix.
Took about 10 minutes, no nonsense, guy got right to it. They were pretty busy too. It was $37 which I thought was reasonable, especially being out of town and needing to get back on the road. I have never felt so good to tip someone for their work than this guy today. So glad he was there to help!
The station is pretty nuts to back out of. That was the worst part but I was happy to have my tire fixed so quickly. Thank you!”
