If you want real food clean food not reheated food not frozen food not reconstituted not something sitting in the refrigeration box from restaurant depot this is the spot you want to be in office fresh never frozen potatoes cut by hand every day only the best fish makes it on the plane and let's not get started with the desserts delicious place for cocktails warm atmosphere for everyone in the universe two bathrooms no waiting you'll never miss a game while you're at the bar outdoor seating as well as creative barn replicated Hudson Valley style outdoor enclosure for social distance The owners go outta their way to treat every customer like family Warm and inviting especially if you love good food and good people enough said

Harlem Food Bar is the perfect spot to hit up on a weeknight when you are in desperate need of a good happy hour but also want to get in a good meal. We got the mac and cheese sticks for our starter, frozen margaritas for our drinks and HFB burger and Louisiana Po Boy for our entrees. The mac and cheese sticks were thicccckkkkk, full of delicious melt in your mouth soft mac and cheese with a well seasoned breading on the outside. So good! I just wish there were more of them. The drinks were strong and sweet, which I am always a fan of. The Louisiana Po bo tasted just likenit would in New Orleans. The sauce they had it drenched in was finger licking good, I actually used it was a dip for my fries as well. The burger was pretty classic, the meat was tender and thick and the bun was super soft. Overall it was a great experience! Will be back for more happy hour dinners in the future.

Food is good and drinks are wonderful. The customer service from one of the manager/owners is horrible. I was still eating my food and he comes and tries to grab my plate! He said "we are closing early". I was appalled and couldn't believe it! I work in the food industry and this is a big NO! He needs to learn manners and customer service. This use to be a happening spot but their customer base has diminished greatly and I can see why.

The food is really delicious. Service staff and the owners are very friendly. I haven’t eaten that delicious salad every time I was in Harlem to visit a friend.I visited this restaurant on May 6. One of the owner who was hosting on that day was very friendly. All the table and the stools at the bar were taken. But he quickly managed a place for me. A friendly bartender who was new there took my order. I ordered chicken wings for the starters and Salmon B.L.T for the main. The host / owner was very attentive, anyhow he realized what I’ve ordered and as my Salmon BLT been served, he specifically came to me to warn me from wasabi Mayo (LOL). As you can see in picture Wasabi-Mayo look just like a harmless sauce… but it wasn’t. I enjoyed my dinner. I’ll definitely come back. I wish them all the best.. Thanks you guys for the delicious food and amazing service.

Let me just say this restaurant is a hidden gem! My sister and I went out to eat after work last night. I looked for a place to eat and found The Harlem Food Bar. It opens at 4pm and closes at 9.When we arrived,we were unsure of going in the place or going across the street to Melba's( I never ate at either establishments). The host came out and asked us if we were coming in because they stop serving food at nine.My sister and I joked that we better go in and asked the host of sour food would be ready in 45 minutes. The host assured us that it would, we walked in and it was hot, no air condition but fans. My sister started having hot moments and I kept asking her if she wanted to leave, the host came over and asked us if we wanted any drinks and we did. I ordered the pineapple mojito and she ordered the scotts margarita. I made my sister laugh because the bartender was really mashing up the mint for my drink, and I thought to myself all that work , I hope it's taste good. Well when I tell you the drinks were delicious, the food was divine! I ordered the Louisiana Po Boy- shrimp running over out of the sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes and a homemade remoulade sauce with fries! Oh my God! You must try this and my sister had a turkey burger which was served on a brioche bun with fries. The bartender brought our food to us and I just had to thank him for the delicious drinks, HFB is the hidden gem, the people were like family in the place. I have to comment the staff, our , host, the chefs, the bartender. My sister and I had a rough day at work dealing with children and being in law enforcement, but HFB provided the comfort, the hospitality and peace to end our day!! I love them and I will be back very soon!!!

The man in the picture is rude and a racist so why come and have a business in Harlem and don't want any of the black peoples in the area to eat there will not have any of my business.

If your manager/owner/service staff is rude it won't matter if the food is good. I'm very big on service. It costs nothing to be polite. The owner needs to do better!

The food was ok. Nothing to write home to mama about it's other restaurants in the area that have way better food and service. I want to feel comfortable and eat good to which I did neither at this place. You can go either uptown or downtown and get better tasting food. The food was cold no flavor and the waiters were rude as hell. Don't waste your time going here please you will be disappointed!!!

I really wanted to make sure I wasn't over analyzing the "manager" who takes the orders. But as I read the comments I see I'm not. He's RUDE. There's no other word for him. And I hate to disappoint my daughter because she loves their burgers but today, May 16th at 6:30 is the last time I will order from here. The owner needs to consider his attitude. Because I've seen him treat "others" with some sort of respect so I know he has it in him. And being that I was born and raised in Harlem, I will be letting everyone I know never to go here.
