Pricing is competitive but the management needs some training in customer service. The staff, especially the lady is extremely rude and unhelpful!

Yvonne is a credit to the company - this woman is amazing! Watching her deal with a difficult customer with a couple of people waiting I was in awe at her ability to stay calm, friendly and personable. When it was my turn she went above and beyond to ensure we were well informed about the process and explained everything thoroughly as were from overseas.

What started out as a terrible day with multiple flights throughout the weekend being cancelled, turned into something truly awesome. We reserved a one-way rental via National's corporate phone line but upon checking in, the desk employee informed us they actually did not have any one-way rentals available and could only provide round trip. We needed to make the drive from NYC to Nashville ASAP. She worked TIRELESSLY to work with us to get a car. Multiple phone calls and anything else that she had to do, she did it. I had a free rental day that we were using, along with Executive status with National, and she absolutely made our day by securing us a luxury vehicle within an hour of arriving. To clarify, we did not ask for luxury and said we would take any car that she may have had available. She made sure it was clean because she "would not put us in a car she wouldn't put her mother in". She truly cares about the people she serves and deserves every bonus, commission, raise, and promotion available. She worked with multiple people ahead of us and gave them the same type of attention as well. Bravo Zhanice Reid!!!

National car rental is one of the finest car rental companies out there. They go high and above to make the rental experience memorable to their customers plus the staff are amazing. The vehicles are up to date in year, plus the company has a reputation to uphold as the go to company for hospitality

The lady at the counter was rude. Don't be a foreigner, because she is going to make your life a nightmare. No one has explained her that people exist outside of the USA and not everyone has a US driving license (even if you show her an international driving license). So after she refused to rent me car, I went to another location of the same chain... And no problem at all ! I could rent a car very easily.Definitely recommend to AVOID this location and go to another one in the area.PS: I went there a second time and again had some issues with her for a different reason this time. Unbelievable !

After a credit card snafu hindered me from picking up my rental on time, I was feeling blue and was late for my getaway! But the service mgr, Asha, came through with a sweet upgrade when I returned hours later. The branch mgr, Jake, made sure that we were comfortable and could fully appreciate the rental by detailing the car. Asha and Jake represented true customer service and satisfaction and we were truly appreciative of their attention to us.

Wanted to rent a car just for a day to Nap for our weekend get away, and this' the only place I can find that's close to Union Square, provides complimentary pickup and late drop offs.

I rented a compact car for a day to get out of San Francisco. The price was half the cost from the national rental companies. The car was brand new but all of the cars in the garage were clean and very recent models. Brandon was most professional and full of helpful information. This is a must do if looking for a rental. They do it right.

Great Service! Even though this location does not have Emerald Isle, the reps were trying to help Emerald Club members as a priority. The wait was worth it as I lucked out with a Lincoln MKZ. Thanks for taking care of your loyal EC members.(Feb 2020)2 more great rides from National on W44th St: An Infinity G50 and the Maroon Charger in the pic, brand new only 900 miles on it! Thony, Charlie, and Jake are the best in the business. They all ought to have a future in management at National. You guys have superstars, don't screw it up. I've rented cars from many rental car agencies all over NYC and the US. Their service isn't even close. This is what you hope to have in any company. I rent about once a month and they always remember me, are friendly, warm, helpful, and available via email for when I need anything in a pinch. Sometimes I take a car instead of Amtrak just because of how seamless this experience is. Great work guys, keep it up! And national, give em all a raise!

Fantastic! Got the car in 5 minutes, free upgrade, returned it at my own convenient time (many agencies in Manhattan are closed at night). Staff was super friendly and helpful. And the location is unbeatable - right in the center. A flawless experience. If you need a car in Manhattan - this is the place!

Truly a 5 star worthy customer experience. I am a Emerald executive member, and Charlie Donahue & team made my renting experience in NYC one of the best I have had with National. The renting process was quick, easy with an attentive staff. But when I had some issues with rental returns in DC, I responded to a next day regular follow up email from Charlie, who took care of things quickly even though the issues I had was at BWI return place.
