“It's an impressive building on 8th Avenue and 34th Street, across from Madison Square Garden, that's built like an ancient Greek temple! It was built between 1911 and 1914, with an annex built between 1932 and 1935.”

“This USPS gets a lot of flack but they are all hard workers. L. Rotali is incredibly sweet, and was crazy helpful while I struggled to send an international package. He was patient and even lent me his pen, which is rare for post office people! If you're patient, they will be patient too.”

“I came here on a Thursday evening an hour and a half before closing time to send few envelopes with tracking numbers and expedited shipping.There were two employees at the desk one was wearing a mask, and he was courteous and friendly, and went above and beyond to explain to me what I should be doing.The other employee who appears to be Asian kept on grunting, mumbling, and I even heard him cursing while working on his computer!he had a terrible attitude towards the other customers that were standing in line ahead of me.fortunately, I got lucky and I’ve been called by the friendly employee wearing a mask.”
“This is my absolute FAVORITE post office in NYC! While I can’t speak for EVERY attendant, most of the employees are sweet. The lines actually move and the Afr.Amer. young lady with the gap is truly a delight. She’s kind even on the gloomiest days. I hope whomever her leadership is sees this and rewards her accordingly as I’m in sometimes 3-4 days a week and her presence of positivity, efficiency and integrity never wavers.”
“Update 10/06: The parcel I dropped off was eventually sorted and scanned down the line of delivery. Changed from 3-4 stars. I wasn't aware they relied on a kiosk to circumvent wait lines to scan parcels at a kiosk prior to drop-off. As all clerks were serving others, there was no way someone could inform me. The scanner is on the opposing front end of the drop-off shoot. It would have been helpful if the sign warns patrons to scan first.Wish I read the reviews before I dropped off a USPS return parcel with a pre-paid label yesterday. When I entered, it wasn't busy, but each attendant had a patron. I saw a clear door that had a sign to leave drop-offs, which I did. It seemed too simple. I would have preferred a receipt that it was received at this location at the counter. It's over 24 hours later, and I entered the tracking number, and it shows that the label was created, but it's not in the system. I'm worried. With the lack of customer service I've read about thus far, I really hope it doesn't get lost in the rabbit hole USPS in known to be.”

Huge space, escalator to 2nd floor for post office there, arts on walls. more than 20 windows for service and most of them are open when I go.”
