I cannot say enough about this company and the experience I had. They showed up spoke very little English so I couldn’t communicate very well. They began to pack up my home. They were talking so much that they couldn’t concentrate on getting our things packed up efficiently. They were not in uniform. And this is one of the things the survey asked for some reason. Who cares if they were in uniform as long as they did their job which they did not! We didn’t get our belongings until three weeks later. When I unpacked several items were broken. Family heirlooms that cannot be replaced! A lockbox was stolen which contained cash, the titles to our cars and a firearm! A piece of luggage was stolen. I have gotten very poor responses to our claim. They offered $.60 per pound!! Incredible! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I set my move up with Mike, and he was very helpful and informative. I also got a call the day before the move to confirm the moving inventory and other details. We were given a 9am-11am window for the start of our move, and on moving day the crew arrived around 9:30, ready to go to work. They were friendly and kind, and they worked well together and with us. They wrapped all our furniture well and handled it with care. They disassembled our (heavy) Casper electric adjustable bed, wrapped it, and then reassembled it in the new place and took extra time to position it just where we wanted it on top of the bedroom rug. I felt that SEKA charged us a very fair price and handled the whole move with professionalism and care. I would definitely recommend SEKA.

The movers came on time and put all of my furniture in the truck in an organized way. We had to make 2 stops for drop off and everything went smoothly. Thank you! I will definitely recommend Seka to my friends and family.

**READ BEFORE BOOKING, MIGHT SAVE YOU LOT OF MONEY**The sales Rep provided me a quote for around $3400(around $1200 less than other movers, I was already impressed) and told me that in case I have more boxes than estimated please let him know so that they can send the truck accordingly and adjust price.I had extra 20 large boxes so I tried calling the sales rep multiple times to let them know but he was unreachable so I sent details in an email to him mentioning the extra boxes.I was expecting a couple of hundred bucks for additional boxes as the whole estimate of stuff with furniture was around $3400.The next day when the moving team came, they told me that they were not aware of the extra stuff so told me I would be charged penalty charges for those boxes.I tried reaching out to Sales Rep for an estimate for extra boxes but the team was unreachable, when I was finally able to reach someone from Sales team kept telling me that he'll revert with the updated quote. (called at least 15-20 times that day to get final quote)When almost half of stuff was loaded in the truck he gave me an additional quote for $1800 and mentioned as it is last minute addition so penalty rates have been applied.After I mentioned that I already sent an email and informed about extra boxes, I was told by another sales rep that he'll come back with adjusted rates.Once the whole truck was uploaded, he called me and mentioned best he could do is $1500.Secondly, The supervisor of the mover crew was a super-super rude guy, even after paying $1500 extra he left stuff that I have to discard (like two floor lamps, 2 small floor carpet and a 3-year-old small bike) as that stuff was not mentioned in the quote.Finally at the time of delivery of furniture. I was surprised to know that Seka will let me know the day of delivery only a day before and I have no say in choosing the day.So I end up buying a super expensive flight from NJ to NC a day before.Then in the evening the day before, I get a call from the crew that they got my stuff in 35 feet truck so they have to move my stuff to another truck that will cost me $800 extra.My house in north carolina is not even in any Narrow lane. It is a two-way big street next to Highway 55.The only good thing about the whole experience was the delivery Crew in North Carolina. They were super nice, humble, and professional.So in short- The biggest turn-off for me was, Super rude moving crew supervisor at NJ.- Secondly, $1500 for additional 20 large boxes with penalty rates. (Even I sent an email with details before the move)- $800 additional cost to move stuff to another Truck that I was told on the day of the move. (I should have been told about this by the Sales team before I signed the contract).So I end up spending $2200-$2300 extra + lot of frustration.

I have moved a few times across state lines and have used moving companies each time. I have always had small issues here and there, but never did I feel like the companies I used were ripping me off...well with SEKA I definitely felt cheated and misinformed.The move itself went OK, but the sales person I spoke with initially definitely gave me a very low estimate. He knew I was shopping around with other moving companies, and my guess is he low-balled the qoute to get my business-and unfortunately he did! All the other companies I talked with gave me similar prices, but Alex's qoute from SEKA was so much lower than all the other companies, that should have been a red flag for me.The sales person never asked for pictures of my apartment, nor did he say facetime could be an option. He estimated that I would need 7 medium boxes to pack up my one-bedroom apartment. The movers ended up using a total of 22 boxes! How uniformed can you be as a salesperson to give such a terrible estimate. I ended up having to pay a very high price for the 15 extra boxes and packing service that Alex underestimated.I tried to talk to a manager later, Chris, who basically said that during one of the conversation I was told that the price of any boxes and services needed outside of the qoute COULD be at a higher rate. And that he would be more than happy to pull a recording of this. When I asked him why don't the sales persons offer the option of facetime to costumers, his response was that customers would have to ask for that option, and that it's never offered up by SEKA moving sales reps.Save your money and time, and go with one of the more popular and reputable companies.

I have moved many times in my life, but Seka Movers were the best movers that I have ever hired. They were quick to respond when I contacted them. Everything to book is online and was very clear and thorough. The foreman Mikhail (spelling?) and his men arrived slightly early and were very pleasant, courteous, thoughtful, organized and efficient. They were extremely careful; wrapped all of my furniture in blankets, so that not a single item was scratched or damaged. They did not charge anything extra on the day of the move. I highly recommend them.

I booked Seka because of the Yelp/google reviews and their professional manner over the phone leading up to my move. I have moved 8 times in 15 years and have had my fair share of moving experiences. This was so heinous I honestly couldn't believe it. I booked two moves on the same day, one pickup going to two different locations. The internal communication was non existent because two groups showed up thinking they were both doing the entire move. One of the groups ended up leaving, which should have tipped me off but there was a thick language barrier and I figured they had it covered. Once I realized there were three men for a 3 bed / 2 bath + 200 sq ft storage unit + outdoor furniture, I knew it was a going to be trouble. They arrived at 8am and didn't leave my apartment to start moving the trucks until 3P. That's seven hours of packing the truck (everything was pre packed). When I called to complain, they basically said that they understand I'm frustrated by the time but the move is going on schedule. On schedule?! I was supposed to have one truck go to one location and the second go to another. Instead they had to commingle my items because they sent the other truck away, and drive both trucks to the first location and then to the second location. They didn't finish unloading my items at the FIRST location until 6:45PM, and it is now 9:30P and they still aren't at the second location. That's a 14 hour move for a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom. Which is "standard". Sure. And the attitude on the phone during the move was abismal. If you want to sign up for no communication and a move that will literally take half a day, Seka is for you.

Great experiencing hiring Seka Moving. They were cheaper than the quote I got from another mover for the same amount of stuff, and they were amazing on the day of the move! They showed up early, treated my stuff with care, and unloaded quickly, asking to make sure that they put my larger items where I wanted them. The whole team was very kind and respectful and a pleasure to work with.I highly recommend Seka Moving if you're looking for a reliable, hassle-free move.

Great overall experience. This was our third time using Seka and have gone back again and again for a reason. The price is very good. They are fantastic at what they do. The company is responsive and always were very easy to communicate with over the phone whenever needed. Mike and Chris were super helpful.The move itself went smoothly. Professional, efficient and friendly moving crew. The only gripe I have is that on the agreement that was sent to us when we made a reservation, it said there would be a complimentary mattress bag for our queen sized mattress and that was not provided. They just wrapped the lower half of the mattress in moving blankets and moved it that way. Was the mattress fine? Yes. But I know this company is using those moving blankets and their trucks for a lot of moves this time of year and the likelihood of getting bedbugs goes way up without that mattress bag. So just make sure you request the bag when you talk to them before your move. That being said, this is the first time this has happened to us in our multiple times moving with them.All of this to say, SEKA is very good at what they do and are good people all around. Just make sure to ask for what you need.

My local move was easy and it went smoothly. Professional work from the team of three. Giorgi, Zara and another colleague handled everything with care. They were fast,efficient and solved a problem that occurred with my couch really well. I recommend Seka moving to anyone that wants a stress free moving experience. Also , Frank was very communicative and the estimate was very reasonable. Thank you!

Had a scheduled FaceTime walk through (discussed with employee Nick and scheduled with Nick). They no-showed. No call. Nothing. I called their customer service line, they said they’d get back to me with what was happening. 15 minutes later, still no call. I gave a call, at which point they informed me the employee let them know he was sick.If I am sick, I let my work know before appointments occur so we can arrange coverage. Or reschedule for a different time before they happen. Pretty standard practice, and something I’d expect from a moving company in particular.Would avoid this company at all costs. No showing to appointments does not bode well for a moving company when lots of things need to run on time. I have worked with several others and never dealt with this before. Would definitely recommend going elsewhere.Customer service was nice and apologized profusely on the second call.

The 2 guys were excellent with the complicated move.Showed up on time, started working to resolve the challenges between moving into another apartment in the same building and then to a truck for transport.Took furniture / bed apart and put back together better than before.Clean and tidy and very nice and helpful.Great team!I would use them again and I would suggest anyone else utilize the service as well.Our belongings are high value and they treated them safely.
