My girlfriend went to go pickup an order today and was berated by an employee. The pickup spot was taken so she parked a few spots down per the instructions and had her hazards on. This employee came out was immediately hostile with her about not being able to find her car. She called back in and the phone was answered by the same employee who continued to berate her over the phone when she asked to speak to a manager attempting to justify his blatantly rude behavior. She was transferred to another employee who helpful and understanding (thank you to Kyle, who is the only reason this is a two star review), but this is unacceptable. No need to take aggression out on people who have nothing to do with your terrible day or mood.

Recently I purchased a gift card that charged to my bank but when they tried to activate it for use, it wouldn't activate for an unknown reason. Instead of refunding the purchase, replacing the "broken" card, or any sort of customer - centric option; I was told to leave the store having paid for something that didn't work and couldn't be used, wait for proof the bank charge happened and then return to the same store (30 min drive for me) with the proof and then "See what could be done about it". I called the store manager a couple days later to confirm (although I had shown him in the moment) that the bank charge had occurred and asked if he could now just issue a refund. After many words about having to check with corporate and again no customer - centric solutions, I firmly said I would be in that evening for a refund and could he please just arrange that with whomever might be at the store.....finally got a yes. I was helped with a refund by the manager on duty but that person while knowing what had happened couldn't be bothered to even offer an apology for all the inconvenience I had been caused. I left feeling as if I had done something wrong..........tsk tsk Michaels.

ATTENTION MICHAEL'S CRAFT STORE EMPLOYEES! I will try to keep this short. If you want to remain confidential, please just add your store number and city and state. I am hoping for sworn affidavits and testimony, but if you are concerned I understand. I can still use your help! If I win the class action, I WILL share that with all of you that help me win! I don't think I can add my email here, but I can figure that out later. What I need are affidavits from anyone that: 1. DID NOT get Open Enrollment Documents for 2021; via email or USPS 2. Anyone that DID NOT SEE a notice posted in the breakroom or website for Open Enrollment in 2021. (If you did not see a notice for any other year include that also, we can definitely use that info) 3. If you were confused about how to obtain your benefits, how to submit a claim, asked for plan documents and did not get them, or was told to submit an email to HR for answers, I want to hear all about it! Please write your stories up and send them to me. They owe you $110 per day that they don't provide documents you requested. I have every single notice via email and paper from the U.S. Postal Service from every year since 2018, but NOTHING from 2021. Why do I need this? Because our employer (I am still employed for now even though they threatened to fire me) did NOT NOTIFY ANYONE THAT OUR LIFE INSURANCE BENEFITS FOR PART TIMERS WERE BEING CANCELLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PANDEMIC. If you were part time, and had a policy for life insurance or any of the Aetnas Fixed Indemnity plans (maybe dental and vision also) did you have an understanding that your plan would roll over automatically and you were not required to resubmit any documentation for continuation of that benefit? Me too. I now have stage 4 Breast Cancer and no life insurance. And Michaels is blaming Aetna. Aetna blames Michaels. They have a legal obligation under Erisa to notify Employees of Plan changes. They are saying they simply did not offer the life insurance plan in 2021, during open enrollment and that was enough. Then they said the put up a notice in the breakroom. They did not. Have you EVER SEEN AN OPEN ENROLLMENT NOTICE IN YOUR BREAKROOM? (Being facetious here... ONE THAT SAYS "HEY, WE ARE CANCELLING LIFE INSURANCE BENEFITS?" ) PLEASE SHARE ALL YOUR BENEFIT STORIES! ALSO if you had Aetnas Fixed Indemnity Plan, you know, the one where they deny all your claims for a diagnosis code and you get so sick of resubmitting the same documents you practically give up? Well I have SOLID PROOF THAT THEY DONT NEED THAT CODE AND THEY INTENTIONALLY CREATED OBSTACLES SO THEY WOULDNT HAVE TO PAY THE CLAIMS!!! Here is the deal. I am looking for class action participants. I have every single employees name and address now that they released it to me. But there are too many people to send a notice to, so I am going to do a random selection. Wish they were dumb enough to send me the emails as well... We have to stick together and demand more from our Employer and the big Corporations. I have been fighting for 2 years! My hair is falling out, the stress is advancing my cancer and I am exhausted. But I REFUSE TO GIVE UP. This is such a disgusting and horrible way to treat employees and makes you wonder where their integrity is. Let's hold them accountable! And for the record, if you are involved in their 401k, you should know that their assets went from $315,834,032 to $268,177,032 last year. That is a $47,657,000 loss! They were audited to ensure they could pay out your benefits since management is required to evaluate whether there are conditions or events, considered in the aggregate, that raise substantial doubt about the Plan's ability to continue as a going concern for one year after the date that the financial statements are available to be issued. Management is also responsible for maintaining a current plan instrument, including all plan amendments, administering the Plan, and determining that the Plan's transactions that are presented and disclosed in the financial statements are in conformi

After I couldn’t find an item at the Michael’s store in Henrietta, I decided to visit this location. I have to say this is a much better store. The layout is better. It is cleaner and and has better shelf arrangement. It is easier to find anything here. The shelves are well stocked. I found 2 items that I couldn’t get at the Henrietta location.

I always go to Michael's for my crafts. They have practically everything, I personally like their yarn, diamond art, and clear organizers. Especially when they have sales, go to their website and look for extra coupons.
