A LIFESAVER! My large chocolate lab is horrible in the car, gets very anxious and I dread having to drive him places. I was able to schedule a home visit within a few days and Dr. Gonzalez came out to our home with one of her techs. Both women were very friendly and personable and did a full check on our dog and also gave recommendations and a treatment plan for some of his aging issues. Pricing was very reasonable for the service and we will use again!

This is a vet that really cares about the wellbeing of the animal. My dog had to have an emergency c-section. Due to the time in which she was laboring we had to take her to the emergency vet which was the only place open. We were given a quote of $6,505 for the section. Of course I did not have that available, for which i was told I was going to have to do it eventually. As soon as it hit 8 am I called Wappingers Animal Hospital and explained the situation. The vet cleared her schedule and had her in surgery a few hours later. Plus she did the section, spayed her, for WAY CHEAPER than Flannery, this was including all the medications needed for pain and infection. Found my forever vet.

What can I say? Dr. G and her staff are INCREDIBLE. I am a true helicopter hypochondriac type pet owner, and my doggie is my whole world. Dr. G and her staff tirelessly deal with every issue that I have encountered with my little special needs fur baby. Dr. G is warm, compassionate, kind, patient ACTUALLY VERY PATIENT and so very loving towards me, my husband and our Rory. We could not ask for more in a vet. Dr. G answers every call, stays on the phone at length if needed, and gives it to us straight. Dr. G also finds alternative, more gentle ways to treat our Rory's many issues that no doubt have maintained her quality of life. We love Wappingers Animal Hospital (and Rory loves vet tech Theo extra LOL) and we highly recommend this compassionate practice!

I cannot even begin to explain how lucky I am to have found Dr. Gonzales. She is amazing. I took my 14 year old chihuahua to her office for a sick visit because his breathing seemed off to me. She explained everything to me and the knowledge she has is unbelievable. If you’re looking for an honest, knowledgeable and caring vet, Dr. Gonzalez is hands down the BEST!

Dr Gonzalez was the only vet who actually cared about my baby girl. She came to my home in a desperate time of need and was with us right till the very end with our girl. I’m beyond grateful to have met such a phenomenal Dr.

As the actual breeder of one of the Vet's personal dogs... TO BE CLEAR ... I have zero regrets in the placement of my puppy with her. She has been a wonderful owner since day 1 with his care, socializing & training as all can see when visiting her practice & seeing her dog. Interactions with Dr. Gonzalez & her staff have always been a pleasant experience for myself & my pets always receiving top notch care.

I am very upset & did not like how my pet was taken care of by Gonzalez & her staff. I carried him in & they took him from my arms & brought him behind closed doors. It took a long time before they let me see him. Gonzalez said there was nothing more that can be done. She kept pushing to have my furbaby put to sleep. She wanted it done and over with. She is heartless & cruel with no compassion or consideration towards me or my pet. She treated my precious baby like an object. The staff is very cold & unfriendly. I recommend doNOT take your precious pets to Wappingers Animal hospital. They do not have the right mindset or qualifications. My personal doctor feels she, Gonzalez should NOT be a vet. While she was talking to me about my baby boy she interrupted so she could attend to her dog she had in the reception area. She should NOT have her pets there when taking care of other people's precious pets. I met the breeder she bought her dog from and he regrets selling his precious puppy to her.

After going to this practice for 50 years since a child and Dr Hannigan, it wasn't the same after Dr Kniefel retired. I didn't feel as welcome as in the past. Most of the original employees are gone and I had a bad experience with a couple of the newer employees who were rude, Beth and Theo. 50 years with no issues, so I have taken my pets elsewhere.

Dr. Gonzalez is an amazing soul, compassionate honest was so grateful the care she gave my Sasha in her final days wish we would’ve got to do everything at home which she would have but I am grateful I got to spend more time with her, definitely will call Dr. Gonzalez in the future for my next pet
