San Francisco residents can now get their donut - crullers, jellies and donut hole - and coffee cravings satisfied at the newest Dunkin Donuts in South San Francisco.
Dunkin Donut's newest location - 180 South Airport Blvd. - opened Feb 1 at 5 a.m. in the hopes that Highway 101 commuters and airport travelers will stop in at the morning sugar spot.
When the company said it would be setting up an establishment in the Bay Area, Esther Mobley wrote about the news, talking about the franchise's donut holes called Munchkins and the company's desire to stay relevant.
The franchise is making plans to open nearly 25 more locations in the San Mateo and Alameda counties during the next several years. There have been other stores opened in American Canyon, Half Moon Bay and Walnut Creek.
The operators of the DD space in Half Moon Bay is California Donut Kings, LLC, and they'll also run the latest DD location in South San Francisco. The store will open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and have about 30 employees.
Will this opening in the donut universe mean things will be better? Not exactly! However, it does mean something is going to happen. According to Mobley, it doesn't matter if donuts or coffee is good. It's all about blind loyalty to the kinship.
