North Carolina donut lovers can rejoice with the planned opening of 12 new Dunkin' Donuts in the next few years.
According to the company, it is partnering with two franchise groups to open several locations in the Winston- Salem and Charlotte areas.
HARA Foodservice Group, LLC, which is a new franchisee, has plans to open four Dunkin' Donuts in Morganton, Marion, Hickory and Lenior. The first restaurant, which will be led by Roy Clark, is set to open in 2018.
Carolina Donuts, LLC will open eight restaurants in the Winston- Salem area, Steve Galloway and partners will lead that project, and has already attained rights to five already- operational Dunkin' Donuts in the area. It also operates 12 restaurants in Tennessee and Florida. The group will open its first North Carolina location in 2018.
Dunkin' Brands CFE and senior vice president of franchising and development Grant Benson said the restaurant's growth would be impossible without the help of new and already- established franchisees such as the previously two mentioned. He said the company's long- term goal is to have 17,000 Dunkin' Donuts nationwide and continue to offer amazing products with great customer service and use innovative marketing to retain loyal guests and customers.
There are currently over 300 Dunkin' Donuts in North Carolina with the company eyeing areas like High Point, Mebane, Raleigh, Burlington and others.
