Papa Murphy's Holdings, Inc. recently announced it was adding something new to its services. The company has partnered with Amazon Restaurants to offer delivery to the company's seven-owned stores in the Seattle and Portland areas.
According to Papa Murphy's Interim Chief Executive Officer and chair of the board Jean Birch, partnering with Amazon Restaurants made good business sense, as it allows them to offer convenience to their customers. Birch said the company's product is ideal for delivery since it arrives fresh for customers that can easily bake it in their own home when they find time for it.
Amazon Restaurant's General Manager Gus Lopez said prime members of the Seattle and Portland area can take advantage of the restaurant's growing selection of options. He said this is Papa Murphy's opportunity to leverage the technological experience of Amazon in food delivery to customers' homes in an hour or less.
Portland and Seattle Prime members can use the Prime Now or Amazon mobile apps or visit www.amazon.com/restaurants to place their Papa Murphy's order at Amazon Restaurants. Members can track the delivery and watch as the driver goes from the restaurant to their address in real-time.
Customers interested in the service can type in their zip code to see if they have an available Papa Murphy's in their location.
Birch said the goal is to let people enjoy a good meal that comes out of their oven without preparing the food for themselves or leaving their house to get it. She said the company wants to make life simpler for people with a busy lifestyle with great-tasting food.
