The Parikh Network and Arby's have come to an agreement to open 50 new restaurants during the next eight years. The network is large franchise group led by two brothers - President Amish Parikh and CEO Ashish Parikh - and currently operates over 100 Popeye's restaurants in 12 eastern states.
The brothers also bought 18 existing Arby's restaurants in the Harrisburg, PA and Baltimore MD areas. The Parikhs started their franchise business in 2006, and Franchise Times ranked the Parikh Network as number 76 on their 2016 Restaurant 200 list.
Ashish said this is a great time for the company to join Arby's brand, as it's got great business momentum and continues to outdo the industry. He said the family business was looking forward to growing by adding the Arby's lineup to their network.
Paul Brown, Arby's Chief Executive Officer, said they were delighted to have the Parikh Network in the Arby's family. Brown said the network is well-known for its focus on customer service and has proven that it can grow with the developments of new restaurants for many years.
Arby's has been able to attain 24 straight quarters of same-store sales growth and 15 straight quarters of industry performance. Arby's goal is to exceed $4 billion in system-wide same store sales by the close of 2018.
