Malaprop's Cafe is a cozy coffee shop nestled inside the well-known Malaprop's Bookstore in the heart of downtown Asheville. An institution since 1982, it offers espresso drinks and good coffee sourced by Counter Culture, along with treats from West End Bakery. The staff is super friendly, exceptionally talented, and provides quick, delicious service. The cafe operates from a to-go window with outdoor seating available. It is a nice atmosphere tucked within the bookstore, allowing customers to browse the good selection of books, which includes best sellers, new releases, and local favorites. The bookstore itself is a nice shop of a good size, well-organized with different genres, and also features a selection of local and artisanal greeting cards. While the cafe prices are a little high, the overall experience of this great little cafe and local bookstore is highly recommended.
Nice cafe inside a cozy bookstore, with super friendly staff and good coffee. The person who served us did some beautiful handwriting for our drinks. Loved it!
