Easy check in process for appointment, fast service, and their staff was absolutely amazing to me. I had Danielle and she was the BEST! We also use this location to send lab orders for our clinic and our patients are happy.

Unfriendly, unclean, unprofessional, and don't care at all about any of it. Only redeeming part is that the wait for my appointment was not long, so at least they didn't waste a lot of my time before I decided I was better off anywhere else and left (after driving about 90 minutes to get there).

The waiting room is not very nice. There is no one to greet you, just a note on the wall to login on Kiosk. The phlebotomist, Melinda was the rudest person I have had the misfortune meeting. The office manager did not seem very concerned with her behavior when I reported it. The office is ill equipped, they use a Zero Gravity Chair to lay you in if you are a fall risk during your blood draw. The only goof thing I can say is there was another lady phlebotomist and she was amazing! She is happy accommodating and just an angel. I have no idea what she is doing in that place! But I was very grateful she was there!

Only once in about ten times that I've had blood draws at the Quest in Asheville have I had a pleasant interaction with the phlebotomist. The one I usually get, young and perpetually frowning, is rude and dismissive. She seems to dislike her job, so I wonder why she's there. One day I was sitting in the waiting room for quite awhile, and when she appeared to call someone else back (who showed up after I did), I said I'd been waiting. She said, "our computer showed you were late so we won't be seeing you today." I objected saying I signed in at the scheduled appointment time, and maybe there was a problem in communication between the computer and the sign in station. So she took me back after she drew blood from the patient who showed up after me and proceeded to scold me for being "late", and I explained again that I was not late. She then got visibly angry, cutting me off, telling me, "I can not draw your blood at all today and make you leave the property!" The worst part is that I reported this to customer service, I missed the Regional Manager's call, called her back the next day, and she has not returned my phone call. This was a month ago. They obviously do not care about customer service. It's unfortunate because my insurance will only cover Quest Diagnostics, and this location is the only Quest in the Asheville area.

I’d rather not go into the lengthy details of what a demoralizing experience I encountered at this facility. To make a long story short the tech (Tracey Mehaffey) attempted to refuse my urine because it was a half a millimeter below the specified line and she wanted me to spend my entire afternoon retrying until I reached that line. I had to speak with a supervisor in order to complete my test and leave. If you have to choose a facility don’t let it be this one!

I go there every once in a while for quarterly labs, staff is always respectful of me and my pronouns which is wonderful and honestly I'd recommend highly

They do lab work for my doctor.I requested an employee of the office to draw my blood, to avoid being charged as instructed by Dr. Marlor. They charged me, sent it to collections, all without my knowing, and negatively effected my credit score for ZERO service rendered, and a fraudulent charge.

Arrived at 12:05 without appointment. Checked in easily and the machine schedule me for 1:10. Ran and errand and came back. They got me right on time and I was out within 10 min. Very charming staff. No issues here. They do their best, if they run into a patient that is dehydrated and can’t hit a vein it will push their appointments back for the rest of the day. And then people get angry for waiting. If you were on that chair you would be grateful for them taking care of you after the 10 min allowed time per customer. 5 stars

It says when you call that you don't need an appointment to do a quick drop off when really you do -- total bs and took forever

I made an appointment earlier in the day. Checked in on time and then waited about 15 minutes before being called. I was then able to complete my test and leave in another 15 minutes. Person helping me was funny and friendly. Lobby could use some sprucing up but overall the entire experience was fine for my one time test.

I waited 40 minutes after my appointed time. The assistant manager by the name of Ingle was rude and antagonistic. I complained, after 40 minutes, that he was taking a “walk-in” ahead of me. He told me that if I didn’t like it, I could leave. He is a detriment to Quest and should be fired!

I made an appointment a month ago and arrived to a roomful of folks just running their yaps about how long it was taking. There were 13 in the cue and it appeared that staff was doing their best through repeated knocks on the door to ask stupid questions. It did take longer than Quest promised but there are just TWO employees. Worst part was the waiting room applause when staff called people in. Like that helps-?! Jerks. Quest should have a receptionist at this location to alleviate this nonsense. Staff was friendly even with the stress, I feel bad for them working under these conditions.

I'd just come from having my labs done around the corner at LabCorp. However, one of my doctors only uses Quest so here I was this morning.Absolutely THE WORST place to get a lab test. Shame on Quest Diagnostics for having a setup like this!Where do I start?1. Quest: This location does not open until 8:30 am. So if you're fasting or need to get to work forget it. LabCorp opens at 7:30 am.2. Quest: There is NO WAY to interact with the office staff because they hide behind a window with closed blinds. So you cannot ask anyone a question. They truly seem as if they want to avoid you at all costs. LabCorp: has a wonderful wide open front desks manned by staff that greet you with a "Hi! Good Morning! I see you have some paperwork, can I look at it." They're happy to answer questions and interact with clients in the waiting area.3. Quest: I arrived right before 8:30. They didn't unlock their door until 8:33. I was the ONLY one there. I checked in. 15 minutes went by until another person came in and checked in. Still, no one was being served. LabCorp I was taken in 5 minutes after walking in.4. Quest: An 8:50 appt came in at 8:45 and checked in. Followed by a walk in. He was taken right away, and then the standby was taken. I was wondering why I was being left out there. BUT YOU CAN'T TALK WITH ANYONE!5. Staff: Quest: By this time (9:00 am) more people were arriving including more standbys. So when the tech came out to bring someone back I asked why I hadn't been taken since I was the first one to check in at 8:35 and no one else had checked in or been in the waiting room until 8:45. She rolled her eyes and said because you have an appt at 10:10. I said "I was here before anyone was here, so you're saying that walk-ins go before me even though I checked in before anyone? Would it have been better if I hadn't had an appointment?" She rolled here eyes again and walked back behind the doors. LabCorp: "Hi my name is Jessica, how are you doing?" and "Have a great rest of the day"6. Quest: has an infomercial that they're running on their monitor which you have to sit through again and again states that the seating is set up for safe distancing. NO WAY! You are sitting right on top of the person next to you. LabCorp: no infomercials.5. Quest: Quite dirty. See picture. LabCorp: wide open clean waiting room. It's really hard to understand what is going on with this location. I'm guessing it's management or lack of it.The difference between this Quest and the LabCorp, the difference is night and day.

The staff was great and no problem with them..I have used Quest for quite a few years and always pay cash before they draw the blood and they have always given me a self pay discount..The last time I was there in March 2023 they told me that the cost was $222.24 which I paid then on my debit card..Then a month later in April 2023 they sent me another bill for$433.82..I called the billing department and they said that I didn't have a UPP number which I had no clue what that was and to contact my Healthcare provider to have them send it to them..My provider's billing department had no idea what it was either and said that they had never participated in any program with Quest so they couldn't help me..Talking to the billing department at Quest is a waste of time and the people at the Asheville center said they couldn't help and wouldn't check on it for me..Why after all these years are they now gouging me and they should honor the price that they charged me when I had the blood drawn..If I had know it was going to cost me $655 I would not have had the tests done..Very unethical triple charging me me after the fact..I will never go to Quest again because I do not like dealing with dishonest companies with deceitful charging practices.
