Great place for a haircut men or women and children.

The atmosphere is awkward and often intimidating. They treat it as if it's a private, expensive hair salon when unfortunately the majority of your consumers who go to the mall to get a haircut, are Usually on a very strict budget. They need to change the atmosphere to be more welcoming to the general consumer, and I am very aware of how important a hair dresser's tips are because I'm married to one. However due to it being a corporate salon that belongs to the same corporation that owns "Great Clips" and "SmartStyle", it is Not by any means an appointment only private salon. It's what hair stylists refer to as "haircutting factories" or "haircutting assembly lines". I wouldn't imagine it being unlike working at an upscale, well known, universally liked place like Ruth Chris steakhouse versus working at McDonald's. A somewhat gloomy observation however important if you want to attract the maximum number of customers possible and generate the most possible revenue for your business. I also think a change in management would probably not be an unwise choice either.

Worst customer service experience I have ever had. I tried to return an almost full item and instead of apologizing and telling me their policy was recipes based only, the woman raised her voice when I questioned her. Her tone was rude and combative. After working in the service industry for over two years, I would never speak to a customer that way.

Steven in the Asheville mall is the best. So caring to make sure I was never uncomfortable.

Well, I left crying if that tells you anything. I asked Steven to clean up split ends and not touch the length... he cut off THREE inches. Additionally, the cut is horrible. He didn't shape or layer anything so it's all just sitting in bulk at my shoulders. I am completely amazed that after cutting so much of my hair off that he somehow managed to -give- me split ends. We also started with a conditioning treatment, as you can see - the texture of my hair looks even worse than when I came in. He also cut off very expensive balayage highlights I've been working on for a year. I've never had a haircut this bad in my entire life - including the times my mom cut my hair in the kitchen when I was a kid. I really thought that because what I needed was so simple that they'd be able to handle it but I will spend the next six months growing this out now, hopefully finding any stylist that can fix this without cutting even more length off. RIP good hair.

Worst haircut I’ve ever experienced. Other reviewers are correct in stating how important texting on the phone is to the employees here. Haircuts aren’t a priority.. my hair ”stylist” kept walking off while cutting my hair- the overall experience took a long time although the haircut was only about 10 mins of “work”.

Mall hair salons are breeding grounds for incompetent cosmetology rejects. I knew better than to get my hair cut at one; however, I’m new to Asheville so I decided to give the mall one last chance. To no one’s surprise, my instincts were right. I went in with a picture of a medium-short layered haircut that was slightly longer/angled in the front. I came out with an ultra-short bowl cut with zero layers. I asked the hair stylist to fix some things, but after my hair kept getting shorter, I left and cried. Be smart, DON’T GET YOUR HAIR CUT AT THE MALL. DON’T GET YOUR HAIR CUT AT HAIR PLUS. FIND A PROFESSIONAL REAL HAIRSYLIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not happy with this salon anymore. Prices are already High but now you pay more if your stylist is rated higher. I was not informed of this until after I paid. And my stylist refused to go shorter on the length in back of my hair.but I have hair strands way too short. Be sure to ask prices now because they will overcharge you.

Stopped in yesterday for an impromptu haircut and was helped immediately, no wait. Megan cut my hair and was friendly and knowledgeable and gave me several useful styling tips. My haircut is great and it was super affordable! I was impressed and will definitely go back.
