When we arrived during a snow storm and the drive was blocked by a Honda minivan that could not access the parking lot due to the hotel not clearing the foot of snow from the parking lot. Another driver was trying to assist along with law enforcement. The reason we chose a resort is because we thought they would have the property safe for guest. I feel like a resort has an obligation to maintain parkinglots and walk areas in the event of bad weather.

It felt very comfortable and it has a very "mid-cenrury" vibe which we appreciated for the fact that it was not by design, just a reflection of the era it was built. The nostalgia of being emerced in the decade of our childhood (we being Gen X's)gave way to the obvious lack of updating the decor. However; if you're going on vacation to sit in a hotel go elsewhere, because this was a clean, economic and generous sized 2 room w/2 bathroom hotel, perfect for a family that is all about..."WHAT ADVENTURE LIES OUTSIDE THE HOTEL DOOR?" As it should be! I have no problem recommending it for a perfect place to plan your next N.C. adventure.

Nice resort, exceptionally clean with very friendly staff. Outdated and in need of a remodel. Great location to hit a lot of area trails and Blowing Rock is quite nice in July. Must mention there is no A/C here but ceiling fans and box fans are provided. Staff is very accommodating.

Transferred our timeshare to here for 3 nights and it was a beautiful drive to get here. The place is old but charming and the staff is great. The townhouse rooms were actually 2 rooms at one time. One room on the 3rd floor and one on the 2nd so you have 2 doors to get in and out. Inside the room they put in a small spiral staircase. Just hand on to the rails. There are 2 queens in the bedroom which is upstairs with 1 bathroom, downstairs is the kitchen, living room, bathroom and sofabed. Close to Linville Falls, grandfather mountain, sugar mountain, etc. Mexican restaurant attached and very authentic, very good.

This place is awesome. The staff is ridiculously friendly and helpful. You don’t find people/service like this anywhere else. The hotel itself could use an update but the experience is what makes it. The location couldn’t be better as well between all the local restaurants and Beech.

My group (total of 7) stayed at a property (Beech Manor) managed by the 4 Seasons at Beech Mountain. We experienced snowfall that left our vehicles stranded. My wife sent a message to the front desk at the 4 Seasons requesting help to get food from a local grocery store. The front desk coordinated with the maintenance man, William, from VCI Real Estate Services for help. William stopped by, picked me up, took me to the grocery store, allowed me plenty of time to purchase provisions, and returned me to Beech Manor. He was pleasant during the drive and eager to help. This act of service left a lasting impression on my family and I. The level of customer service in a bad situation made all the difference. That is how you take care of people! We are truly grateful and will undoubtedly tell the story of our stay and the great care provided!Semper Fi

I remember this place from the 1970's.We had a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended for Mt top lodging at Beech.

If this is the only place available, consider why that might be. The staff was very friendly and the room was reasonably clean. That is the extent of good things I have to say.I'll keep it short on why you shouldn't stay here. There is nothing quaint or charming, it's old (40-50 years I'd guess). The security is appalling. Multiple unsecure access points and not a single security camera, and I looked. The key to the room is probably the same one they used in 1970. I could drive to Lowe's, make copies, and come back at any time. This is a last resort because you are stranded only.

The excellent location and staff are the only reason we gave this lodge three stars instead of two. The furnishings and building are in severe need of modernization. Pure 70’s and not in a good way. Even just updated beds, linens, drapes and definitely new carpet would make a world of difference. As would window unit air conditioners. It was clean but you can only clean 50 year old carpet and outdated linens so well. We did appreciate the awesome location and wonderful staff as well as the box fans to bring in the cool mountain air and the kitchen amenities even if extremely outdated.
