The waiters give us the bill when we sit down to eat by mistake. We had 3 different servers at our breakfast, and that's not good. Our food was served and we had to wait for the Forks. The food is good but the service needs to improve, although the first waiter Cris did a great service with us.Food: 4/5

Wonderful place! We stayed nearby in a hotel while we visited the area and we at here for lunch and breakfast because we loved it so much. They’re low on staff like everywhere else right now but we were able to recognize that it’s not their fault and they’re doing their absolute best. The food is spectacular. Everything is fresh and great quality. We will come back many more times.

Very pleasant staff, and awesome food. A little bit pricey - but then we sampled a lot from the menu. Eggs and Eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, coffee, cappuccino, milk, orange juice, flapjacks, corned beef hash, breakfast potatoes. All were good. Went there today not for the first time but definitely the last. I had always thought their breakfast was very good but today I got an apple cinnamon pancake with eggs and bacon (a very simple meal) with a cocktail to drink. The pancake was burnt on one side and not cooked at all on the other side, which I would've pointed out to someone had I been served by anyone after the food was placed on my table but when the food came so did the check (something they hadn't done when I've gone before and very rude in my opinion to assume I don't want anything else while I eat or after I finish). It was almost like the staff was actively avoiding my table. I wanted a second drink since I finished the first one relatively quickly but again there was no service after we got our food. I put my card on the table to pay and it was picked up within 2 minutes, while my glass was empty for 20 minutes. Very poorly run place where the staff seems to be doing everything but checking on customers.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Staff was very cool, attentive and warm. My friend described the hostess as "a real peach" because she was so sweet and greeted us with a big smile and her infectious happiness. Food was great! I had an omelette with ham, swiss and goat cheese, and a side of potatoes.

Everything our group of 5 ordered was delicious. We ordered candied bacon, pancakes, French toast, orange juice, cali Benedict and make your own omelette. The servers were all kind.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast at this restaurant in downtown Blowing Rock after checking out of the hotel. It was nice and the service was quick and friendly. The breakfast orders were tasty and the coffee was delicious. Definitely keep this place on your list of breakfast spots when visiting the area.

Great food and a terrific staff. My husband was impressed that they prepare hash from scratch, and I loved the eggs benedict. The staff was extremely upbeat and positive, and seemed very engaged. The staff's teamwork adds to the experience, as whoever is available ensures that your food is delivered as quickly as possible. We will definitely return.

Enjoyed brunch here a few days ago, food was delicious along with the mimosas, and we were seated very quickly. The staff were all very helpful and kind, but my reason for leaving 4 stars was because we were kind of neglected. Once getting seated we received the mimosas super quick, however, after waiting for about 20 minutes we had to get up and ask to have our order taken (after watching them bring in new customers and take their order and not come back to us) and then we had to get up again to ask for the waters we asked for at the same time as the mimosas…. also I ordered bacon but was given sausage but it was really good so I didn’t care haha. Maybe next time I’ll ask not to be seated in the corner, but very cute breakfast spot nonetheless.

My husband and I had breakfast this morning at the Famous Toastery and it was fantastic! The waitstaff were so sweet and attentive and the food was delicious. I had the burrito and my husband had the biscuits and gravy, he said it was the best gravy he had ever eaten. We will definitely be back!

Ate here today and was a repeat trip from last year. We loved it last year and made it a point to eat here again. The food was amazing just as we remembered but the service was horrible. After taking our order we were never visited again by our waitress until 25 minutes after we finished eating and she said, "has no one brought you your check yet?" The rest of the wait staff brought our food out, refilled our drinks when we flagged them down and brought some more hot sauce since our bottle was empty (once again had to flag someone down). Very disappointing considering the expectation and excitement we had from past experience and the wait we endured to eat here. Service is only reason for low rating and great food is only reason they didn't get 1 star.

Second (or maybe 3rd party) to arrive at opening. Party of 9 and communicated that we could be split if that was easier for them and if that meant a faster table. We should've seen the red flags after being told it was a 45 minute wait in an empty restaurant. After maybe 6 other families were seated before us we asked for clarification and the explanation was a poor one. Illogical, inexperienced, argumentative and clearly not competent. This could've been remediated easily but they did not care to address the situation. The hostesses clearly were not on the same page. They had their oh sh*t faces on and were not able to handle the morning service. Tough pill to swallow here considering we were the second car in the parking lot prior to open. Probably a blessing in disguise as the front of the house is a good indicator of how the place operates. 0 stars if I could. Take your dollars elsewhere. Too many options nearby to deal with this.
