I love this little shop in downtown blowing rock. The owner is the kindest man you’ll ever meet. I was having trouble finding a sweatshirt, and he came up and asked what size I was and drove to where they keep the overflow inventory (15 minutes away) and got it for me with the kindest smile on his face the whole time. The sweatshirt is so comfy and cozy. Stop by this place if you’re near. Definitely worth it. Thank you again! :)

Went in wearing a hat and was looking for a new one. The hats were stacked tightly and when I went to get a hat the woman almost tapped my hand. She said the oils damage the hats. I have lots of hats so I know how to handle them. She actually snapped at me twice. I will never go there again.

Store is cluttered and unorganized. I don't think it's possible to cram any more Chinese made junk inside. I will never be shopping here again, you can find cheaper souvenir items in Boone. The employees however, I felt bad for. As soon as I walked in, some younger girls behind the register greeted me. They offered to help me find items I was looking for, although I politely declined. They were very welcoming. When I walked into the back of the store though, the older woman who seemed to be their boss was not trying to help, or even sell me anything. All she wanted to do was talk about the other employees and how she "despised" all of them. This miserable woman wouldn't even answer my questions about the hats without making some snarky comments about the other employees. She said she was quitting soon, but I think they should fire her first. I got fed up and left. No use shopping here. Stay away.

My family and I were in town for vacation this week. We decided to go into the store in order to find my youngest daughter (2yrs) a T-Shirt. The young auburn haired girl working at the entrance was very helpful and showed us right to them. There was lots of variety and sizes. We had picked out two, when a nasty old hag came up to us and told us that they weren't going to fit my daughter. She said that "she had raised two kids by herself" she knew what size we needed. Yeah, maybe in the 1800s. I told her we didn't need any help. She stormed away and mumbled some curse words that I do not appreciate in front of my young daughter. Great store with a large selection if you don't mind dealing with one of the original Salem witches.

At first the "hat lady" seemed a little rude. She was very blunt and direct to all customers as they and as we tried on different hats. She actually gave more help at first than we really wanted---almost insulting our huge heads. (But we are a family of George Lopez heads) But it worked. She was right; she knew a lot about hats. We left with three hats we love for our next beach trip.

Lots of souvenirs, went in to buy a plastic sled which was outside the shop. It was listed at $13.99 but was charged $18.99. We didn’t realize as we were picking it up on the way out. We went back in and asked why we were over charged as they were listed for 13.99 woman said oh that was a mistake and went ahead to refund part of the price…or so we thought. She had just started refunding without telling us exactly what she was doing. She ended up refunding the entire amount and when we said we still wanted the sleds she said they couldn’t honor the price listed on the sled. It was someone else who put it on there (another employee) so the price had basically no effect on the item. Super annoying, honestly wouldn’t go back here ever. Customer service sucked and prices were way too inflated. There are tons of other shops, I’d pick one of those.

Why aren't there 0 stars?! We are in our 30s & we got scolded like little children for picking the hats up not by the brim! Also got scolded for saying one of the hats looked like a Sherlock Holmes hat! Hey lady, take a chill pill & stop being a KAREN! We immediately walked out because of the HORRIBLE way we were treated! My husband even said "have a good day" on our way out & she simply said "goodbye". RUDE!

Walked in and the staff were not friendly, they watch over you with arms crossed like you are about the steal. Not sure where they get the info about how to handle a hat but a real cowboy hat is not picked up by the brim. The the lady that was so rude. Needs to learn about how to handle expensive cowboy hats. We walked out had no use for cheap knockoffs.

Great stuff. Wide variety of hats. They also have souvenirs. Go downstairs for candies and ice cream. I was happy they were open on thanksgiving day.

The BEST PLACE in downtown Blowing Rock. We very much enjoyed this amazing store with just about everything you can think of to purchase. My husband and I were in Blowing Rock for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Mr. Jack and Mrs. Becky are the owners of this store. They were so kind to us and made us feel like we were one of their family members. We will go there every time we visit Blowing Rock. We purchased 2 Blowing Rock Sweatshirts and the quality is outstanding. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome in your quaint little town. We can't wait to go back and will always make a special trip to this wonderful store!!!
