We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant during our stay at the hotel. Although the staff were extremely overwhelmed, they were attentive and accommodating to our needs. The food was not consistent for our party and the diners around us. Several items were overcooked or prepared incorrectly but once re-prepared they were pretty good. I recommend managing expectations and trying some of the more sinple sounding items on the menu for a pleasant dining experience.

We had an excellent experience for dinner last night- great food and great service! My husband ordered the duck pasta and I ordered the NY strip sandwich and both were delicious. Our waitress was Abby and she was very knowledgeable, efficient, and kind.

We go to Blowing Rock frequently and usually go to the same restaurants, yet Timberlake's has been on our to-go list. We went for a late lunch and we were very hungry. We were seated in the bar area since the other area was closed for a private menu tasting. At least three employees touched our table, and none of them saw the food and dirty napkins on the windowsill less than 6 inches behind us. I asked the young woman who brought us our meal for some more water, and she never came back! Our regular waitress completely ignored us. Now the food. Both of us had burgers. The other's had an odd taste. I asked for mine to be barely pink/medium well. It came back raw in the center. Although I'm thankful we were comped my meal, it didn't take away the bad taste of the burger, how dirty the restaurant was and how ignored we were.

We dined here for our son's 22nd birthday. The food was fantastic--my salmon was cooked to perfection. The service was good and view out the window was lovely. The ambience inside was lacking warmth, especially for the price. There may have been some music in the background, but mostly we were hearing the conversations of the two other tables in our section.

Amazed at how high quality everything is, while still being so family friendly. Took my kids on a date night, just the three of us - dinner was incredible, we were seated next to a fireplace, service and recommendations were amazing! Kids had lots of options to choose from, all of which they said sounded great - and I treated myself to a NY strip! They have a wine special right now that's incredible. I didn't believe a white wine would pair with my steak so well, but boy did my server nail that suggestion!

Quaint hotel restaurant but overpriced for the level of quality and service. During our stay we visited the restaurant for dinner and then again got takeout breakfast before hitting the road. For dinner, we got the butternut squash soup, winter beet salad, salmon and shrimp & grits. The portion sizes were generous. We enjoyed the salad as well the shrimp and grits. The soup was over sweetened and the salmon was over cooked. For breakfast we ordered some eggs, pancakes and a few sides. The takeout breakfast took almost twice as long as quoted. We were also disappointed that it was missing a number of the sides we ordered and the avocado was very brown.

It pains me to write a poor review but that's what writing reviews are for...so, the best part about this restaurant is the ambiance and live music. The decor is cozy, fantastic views and great tunes. Now for the not so good...the service was sooooooooooo slow! They have one bartender tending to the bar patrons, the pub tables and all the drinks for the restaurant. This is probably not the bartenders fault, however, one person is not equipped to handle this many tables, customers at the bar and drink orders. It's absurd! We honestly felt bad for him. He was very nice but could definitely tell he was in the weeds the entire time we were there which was @ 2 1/2 hours. I ordered a medium burger which came out raw. Like mooing. Sent that back only to get an overdone one. I ate what I could of it anyway. My friend ordered the beyond burger which was loaded with salt. Almost inedible but she was starving at this point so she ate it anyway. Her daughter ordered the mac n cheese which was inedible then a pasta with butter sauce...again, inedible. Not sure how one can screw up these two dishes so badly. We so wanted to love this place because of how adorable it is, but sadly, the food was horrible and the poor bartender was so shorthanded! Please hire another bartender for this poor guy and while you're at it, a new chef. Keep the band...they were great!!

Poor, so disappointed. The dishes were so heavy in salt they were inedible. When we complained, we received new plates, cold and same aa the first also very salty. It wasnt just one plate, there were eight of us.. all the pasta and seafood plates were loaded in salt. They offered us 10% off the meal we could not eat. So disappointed. The abeyance was Christmas and beautiful. So two stars. Beware of the salt..

Delicious!!! Ambiance, service and area of the location was super special - especially at CB rosy as with all the lights, fire pit etc! Great wine selection and bar. Enjoy!!

This venue is GORGEOUS! Lovely drive up, and a beautiful, sprawling building with layers and rich, warm decor. The food was just okay. The Short Rib & Bleu Cheese Flatbread was the highlight of the meal. The ratatouille pasta was dissapointingly bland. The margarita cocktails we had were laughably bad. We ordered 3, and no one finished even half of theirs. Staff unfortunately didn't even acknowledge this, nor ask whether we enjoyed them or not. Otherwise, staff was engaging, if not extremely slow. At the end of the meal, they thanked us, and apologized that they were slow, as they are short-staffed. In reading other reviews, it seems that "being short-staffed" has been a crutch of Timberlake's for several years now. I understand staffing is a problem all over the country presently, but I am of the belief you should change your operational approach if it is continually detracting from the customer experience. Gorgeously charming venue, meh food and cocktail, over encumbered staff.

We have come to Timberlake for many years for lunch but will probably not return due to major changes in the lunch menu. The new lunch menu just does not have, in our opinion, a good selection. Very unhappy in the brisket burger….it tasted like a frozen patty.The service was excellent. The Salad and french fries excellent!! The outdoor patio is beautiful.

Did the takeout Thanksgiving dinner. Paid a premium price so expected a nice meal. Very, very disappointed. Some decent turkey, pork medallions in a mustard sauce, dressing, mashed potatoes. There was a small container of greens, raw carrots( not Al dente) absolutely raw, no gravy, no cranberry sauce. Was an average so-so meal but very overpriced. We tried to get reservations to eat there but could not get them. I would NOT suggest getting the takeout holiday meal to anyone. Serving size was small as well.

The decor is warm, welcoming and lovely with a fire and seating area to welcome your arrival. The menu was sophisticated and varied and the food absolutely delicious. The tuna nachos were outstanding but so were all of the dinners and dessert!
