I am a 65 year old new to biking. Ian was amazingly patient every time I took my used( recently purchased) Trek in for service. He explained things about my bike I never knew and when I asked him, explained new bike technology to me!Thank you?

Super knowledgeable staff and amazing mechanics. Great products and the best service. Kian, Sarah, and Shaw have always been happy to take the time to answer questions and help whenever I visit the store. Kian was amazing at answering questions and taking time to help me understand the features of my mountain bike. I know there are others whose names I don't know back working on the bikes and they have been amazing as well. Very skilled!

Great experience with checking in the bikes and picking them up. Fast turnaround was a huge plus so we could be ready for an upcoming trip. Everyone is always so kind and willing to help!

Turn around time on repairs on my road bike has been very fast. Staff is very knowledgeable and honest. My husband bought an ebike from Boone Bike recently and our friend just bought two e-bikes. Very happy with this shop for their support and love their community involvement.

My experience at Boone Bike could not have been better. I had moved to a new area and my road bike was no longer right for cycling on a different kind of terrain. I stopped in hoping to learn what would be the right kind of bike for me. Sarah immediately reached out to me and was anxious to learn my cycling history and my plans for the future. I could tell immediately that she was extremely knowledgeable about the world of cycling and quickly understood my needs. Ultimately I became very clear about the best bike for me and purchased one on the spot. When I returned to pick it up Sarah was even more incredible. She went over every piece of the bike with me and instructed me in every possible aspect. She watched me ride on the trainer and had me go through all gears, and measured carefully to be sure the bike was fitted perfectly for my needs. Next she went over tire pressure, removing to change a flat, cleaning the chain, use of front and rear lights and packed a bag that contained everything I would need to change a flat. All the other staff were friendly and helpful including the mechanic who quickly responded to all of Sarah's requests to make changes or additions to my bike. Overall it was a fabulous experience and I look forward to returning for service or any other cycling need.

Just wanted to comment on my recent experience with Boone Bike. I dropped my bike off at around 2:00 Friday afternoon. I explained about how my chain was skipping on hard climbs even though I put on a new chain. I told him that it probably needed a new cassette and approved the replacement. After checking it out for a couple minutes he said I could be right but noticed the rear derailleur was loose and needed an adjustment. Anyway, I was really surprised when I got a e-mail about 10:00 Saturday morning that my bike was finished! They did have to replace the cassette, didn’t replace the chain and said although my rear derailleur was going to need to replace soon, he adjusted it so it would still shifted very well. I was able to ride it the same day, the shifting seemed Great ( I am not an expert), and it never slipped at the peak of my abilities on climbs . I really appreciate their honesty and expertise along with a cost that was truly less than I expected. It was nice not to miss a daily ride.

I bought my bike during COVID, we had to order them and it took about 2 weeks. The customer service was great and staff is very helpful. I travel a lot and just brought my bikes in for service, as always excellent customer service. Not only did I get service on my bikes I ended up purchasing another bike. Very satisfied with everything!

The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. We had our Tandem serviced there a year ago and they did a great job with the tune-up. The Ultegra gears now shift smoothly (triple crank) that had previously been a problem with this bike along with a squealing front disc break that they resolved. They have a great selection of bikes and gear and are knowledgeable regarding road, gravel and MTB along with various places to ride in High Country. We just recently ordered two custom Trek Domane E bikes from them and they were very helpful in the process. They will be our "Go To" local bike shop in the future!

Shaw and Sarah Brown run a great bike shop in what has to be one of the best areas for cycling in the U.S. They can easily get you set up for road, mountain, gravel, or any type of cycling you're looking for. Better yet, they've been running Boone Bike for over 20 years and they're very accustomed to the elements of the High Country, ensuring they can offer any gear you might need to tackle the often unpredictable conditions of riding in Boone and the surrounding area.The best kept secret, however, is their in-house mechanic, Sam. He's a magician back there and he's been fixing my busted bikes for 15+ years. Sam is, by far, the best bike mechanic I've ever witnessed and one of only three people I would ever allow to work on my equipment. I think many of us who have been cycling for decades have had to learn the hard way that knowledgeable and skilled mechanics are extremely hard to come by. Simply put -- if Sam can't fix it or find a solution, it's time for you to buy a new bike or a new part. Fortunately Boone Bike has everything in house to do just that! This bike shop has become like family over the years and I enthusiastically recommend them for any of your cycling needs.

I drove all the way from Greenville, SC to work with this shop. We dont have shops of this level in my town and many places don't anymore. I'm glad I have plans to go through Boone, NC several times this year so I can stop in!

In an age when exceptional customer service (and sometimes ANY customer service) is hard to come by, Boone Bike & Touring delivers! We've never failed to get answers to questions in an easy-to-understand, comprehensive way from every staff member we've dealt with. I recently took an older bike in to have sized, tuned up, and generally made road worthy. Shaw answered all my questions thoroughly and I left confident that the bike was in good shape and that I could handle any problems that might arise.
