We randomly stumbled on this place after hiking in the morning and looking for a parking place near downtown Boone on a busy Monday before the 4th of July. It was the middle of the afternoon but the place still had a decent crowd, including what looked like some regulars. We sat at the bar, and I ordered a local beer while my wife had a Guinness. She had a bowl of chili and a salad and I had an Ale House chicken sandwich. The beer-battered chicken sandwich was better than I expected, although the accompanying sauce didn't wow me. They had taco and drink specials that day and several guys at the bar next to us were taking full advantage. I suspect they have other daily specials as well. I'm glad we found this place, and it hit the spot for good beer and grub.

The outside deck is pet friendly. Food was good. Waitress was friendly. Long wait to be served. Not the waitresses' fault, they were under staffed.Food: 3/5

"Emmy" or emily whatever her name was, was absolutely awful. She firstly took my friends drink order, took her card, screamed that it was "f***ed up" to other customers, handed the card back to my friend and said she could only have an opened tab, which my friend had already requested. At that point my friend and I just wanted to go dance, get our drinks and hang out with our friends. So I handed my friend a $10 bill, just to not deal with the card being a big deal. "Emmy" SNATCHED the $10 bill, charged my friend an extra $3 when it was supposed to be $4 house vodka night (Thursday) and said it was $7. Then proceeded to THROW the remaining $3 at my friend and the bouncers said my friend was the one that had to apologize in order to stay. After my friend apologized, she (the bartender) admitted to just having a bad night, and then offered us a one free tequila sunrise which we both declined. My friend and I both work the restaurant/ bar industry IN BOONE and never would either of us ever treat a paying, respectful customer this way.

This was my second visit to try to give an opportunity to correct the first.Well the first was not bad. The service could have been better. Food was good. Warm and came out relatively quick.The second trip after waiting a half hour we finally left having not seen a waitress had a drink order taken while other people that had arrived after us or being served food.There will be no third strike

Great place to go, even better when school is out. Fun atmosphere, lots of TV’s and great drink selection. The menu beyond the regular, boring bar food. We just got some appetizers on this trip with an awesome $4.00 Bloody Mary. Great local place to have in Boone. Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese bites are excellent. The urinal is worth the trip to the men’s room.

This sports bar is amazing!!! Clean and neat. Inside and outside dining available. A rotating beer tap menu was fresh and updated. Jess my bartender is amazing!! On top of refilling my beverages but not pushy. Never felt rushed with food or beverage service. She even remembers my drink choices from the previous week and asked if I wanted it this visit. Food was delicious and portions are generous. Owners-- keep Jess happy she is a rare diamond in this world!!

Great wings (Carolina reaper mixed with teriyaki), Best cheese steak in the High Country next to Town Tavern Blowing Rock, Fish and Chips are bussin my son says. Great people, very thankful to have them. As a local, I can’t get enough. They have constant tasty food.

I enjoy the bar and the food very much, the issue I have had lately is the BLARING country music!!! I like some country but also like a good mix of music not just one selection. It doesn't seem to matter that playing the music so loud I have to YELL to have a conversation. It is no longer a relaxing atmosphere to go here! It has gotten to the point I drove to Town Tavern in Blowing Rock to sit and enjoy a great atmosphere!

The food and beer selection is usually great. We’ve been going every weekend for 3 years and have only had 2 complaints about burned food being served. But for the past months they have been blaring unbearable country at an unreasonable volume. We’ve sat through it the past 3 times but tonight after looking forward to going all week, we just can’t take it anymore. We didn’t even walk in before turning around. If you’re going to turn into a country bar, put a boot or a hat on your logo to warn people.

We walked in at 9:40 pm. There was a blonde woman and man behind the bar. The woman was talking about how she had never used her college degree and that she should have gone to technical school.We stood at the door waiting to be seated or directed to sit. After a few awkward minutes, we seated ourselves.The workers at the bar continued to chat and joke. We sat for 10 minutes but no one came to us or said a single word the entire time, although they looked at us and knew we were there.When we walked out, we didn't even see the workers. I guess they were both in the backIt's complete garbage that we wasted our time driving there.
