One star is way too high. The employees there have no concern for the amount of time it takes out of everyone's schedule to get things done. They provide incomplete information on what is needed, spend their time jawing with co workers over helping customers and make multiple speeches stating that they do not care about servicing the customer. Complete crap show from start to finish

The worst Dmv I ever went to. I was waiting for three hours and this guy blaming that he’s the supervisor for no reason he told me to go out.

Moving from Virginia makes me incredibly grateful for their system. Here's how I'd fix it.1. Have Mr Goodwin - Commissioner go to VA on a field trip to learn the VA system2. Haveball NC DMV's capable of doing all services DMV's normally provide or make it very clear online and off which facilities do what.3. Fire incompetent people

Examiner Baker, super nice and friendly! Kept me from wasting my time and helped me set up an appointment to get what I needed done. Way to go EB @ Maynard Road DMV!

Firstly, if the only way to check in is through a cell phone, then they need to make sure cell reception is better in the building, or at least offer Wifi. Everyone in line had to go outside to check in, because they barely had reception in the building. That’s a nice alternative, but it shouldn’t be the only way to check in. Also, there is a tall guy working at the desk, who could use a lesson in manners. I already knew I didn’t have cell reception when he asked me to scan the code, but he kept insisting that he take my phone and show me how to do it, as if I wasn’t doing it correctly, or I’m not capable of operating my own cell phone.

To the man (another patron, not staff) who told me he had been waiting for 2 hours before I reached the desk, thank you. I drove to the Avent Ferry location 11 minutes away, and I'm already being helped. Godspeed, brother.

My license expiring in 2 weeks and I am not allowed to renew during my appointment today. The staff who is checking my appointment saying that I am coming too early before my license expires. This doesn’t make any sense to me since he is asking me to come on the last day of the license expiry date or after it expires. The staff in front desk is too rude and not showing any respect.Kindy avoid this dmv center, if you really need to be respected .

I’ve been to the Cary DMV before however the system in NC for any DMV processes are absurd. They don’t digitalize anything and people wait for 4 plus hours. Plus the staff are very firm and not very kind. I dread going here to waste my day waiting. My recommendation is book appointments months before you need it or you will never find availability

Jan2024This is for driving license. My own experience and suggestion to you all.Getting Advance Appointment is 3 months wait period. So Walking In is one option you can try and works as well.1) Please check NC DMV onsite for information about the list of documents you need to have. Get all the documents and then head for the DMV office.2) The officers are strict, don’t waste their time, you should be knowing what you are there for and you have all docs ready, but the officers are very helpful and efficient, and do their work really good.Five Star ?performance.3) For Walk In, there will be always few appointments available on the day. The DMV opens at 7amET, and hence try to reach at 06:30amET, and be on the waiting queue along with few others in front of DMV office gate. Being early bird your chances gets bright. Don’t loose hope, your time will definitely come. The officers keeps on checking and allowing those on Walk In to enter the office. Best luck.Special Note: on a day when there is less rush, people could walk in at 8:30amET, and still get their work done. And it should be on Wednesday and Thursday. Try it.

If this was a restaurant or a shop, it would go out of business in a week!Unfortunately, it’s the DMV. People come here because they have no other choice and the way need to get their drivers license renewed etc. The attitude of the employees at this location is condescending, rude, in addition to being terribly incompetent. Sad state of affairs in the US as the DMV seems to hire employees who don’t like people.
