To me it felt like i was in Stars Hallow from Gilmore Girls. There's something abot this place that feels cozy and peaceful. The parkis my personal favorite part, and the fact that they built a library next to it makes my heart jump up with joy. If you are lookjng for a great experience with your family, this is the place to go.

Having lived in Raleigh for decades, I've always been attuned to the discussions about the best cities to live and work in the United States, and Cary has frequently been mentioned in such conversations. Initially perceived as a mere suburb with Raleigh at its heart, Cary has gradually shed that image, morphing into something more akin to a city, while its downtown retains the charm of a small town. Despite the cycle of old businesses fading away and new, slightly larger commercial buildings taking their place, a true sense of prosperity seemed elusive. It wasn't until the revitalization of Downtown Cary Park and the addition of new apartment complexes that perceptions began to shift. Yet, many restaurants and landmarks like the government office buildings, Cary Elementary School, Cary Arts Center, and The Cary Theater have maintained their original character. The latter, which nearly succumbed to the rise of digital movies and the impact of the pandemic, stands as a testament to the town's resilience. I don't often find myself wandering downtown unless my previous photographic works have been superseded by new images, prompting me to capture fresh perspectives through my lens. On days when cooking feels like a chore, I find solace in the familiar comfort of takeout from TAIPEI 101. However, the nights still carry a tinge of concern, with the occasional recklessness on Academy Street and the disruptive rumble of trucks laden with oversized speakers testing the limits of tranquility. It's clear that some are testing the patience of the police, and perhaps, the community at large.

The Library in Downtown Cary if one of my favorite. The facility is always clean and has a professional friendly staff. The variety of offerings and service provide a pleasant atmosphere for research, study and relaxation.

Cary is rapidly developing into a new urban environment with a small town feel and modern buildings. Farmer’s market, many good restaurants, fantastic park.

Went to see both the downtown area as well as the holiday decorations. Hundreds of decorated trees lined the streets, very tastefully done. Lots of interesting buildings etc to see.

With the new downtown park they just keep making this place better and better. Plenty of small shops and restaurants. Breweries are now opening up around downtown. It's becoming a real destination.
