Recently purchased a couple pieces of art out-of-state from Qualla Arts and Crafts through their website. The knowledge and help I received from the staff was very helpful, efficient, and knowledgeable! So many beautiful pieces of art, it was hard to decide what to buy. Can't wait to visit in person.Katy Ruffner

Absolutely loved all the handmade crafts! It was also nice interacting with some of the artists themselves and seeing them work.I wish there were items more affordable for our price range. The items we saw were worth every dollar! But out of our price range - most baskets ranged from $600 - $1,200. But if there were some more simple designs or items that could be in a more affordable range, I believe they would have more customers.

If you want a cheap souvenir, this is NOT the place for you. However, if you want a beautiful piece of Cherokee jewelry, or a handmade basket that you can display, then pass on to your children, or a some other art, this is the place for you! The prices are a lot more expensive than some cheap thing made in China, ...but you get what you pay for! It makes you want to return!

What a wonderful treat to see so many beautiful pieces of art from the Cherokee North Carolina tribe. There is a great exhibit that shows how the tribe is making sure that these incredible talents are preserved and passed down to younger generations.

Qualla Arts & Crafts Mutual is located across the street from the museum. It is where you will find the authentic crafts both being made and sold. The gallery is large and has a variety of items so you can find something you were looking for or just browse and admire the quality work. It is well worth a visit.

If you're interested at all in the Indian culture or the beautiful items they create then this is a must see. They have a large room just full of history and knowledge along with a large store full of amazing items.

Loved this place. Yes they are more expensive than the other stores in the area but they are selling genuine goods not imported knock offs. I paid $50 for an indian prayer feather and it was worth every penny if you consider the time and detail that goes into it.

A must stop every time Im in Cherokee. Very nice authentic Indian made crafts. Items change all the time. Browsing is encouraged! Not a place I would take kids as some items are expensive and at curious hands level.

At first this place seemed to be very nice, even tho it is VERY overpriced. I ended up purchasing quite a few hand made jewelry pieces. Two earrings, necklaces and a bracelet. All of them broke the same day… ridiculous. You’d think if they were authentic they’d be better quality. Also seen a bunch of white Americans making the baskets at the table while we were there. Pretty sure that’s not authentic

Impressive collection of locally produced products from jams to jewelry. Lots of individually produced baskets and hand woven runners and scarves. Interesting examples of wood carvings and so much more. Much to see and purchase here and the money spent stays in the community helping local artisans. Even if you don't want to buy anything, visiting is rather like going to an art gallery to appreciate the pure talent displayed.

These kind people helped my wife and I after she fell leaving a different store. They helped get a paramedic to come see my wife and allowed me to use their phone because my phone did not have any reception in Cherokee. Their character says a lot about these good people. I strongly urge anyone interested in seeing authentic Cherokee crafts (not fake junk made in China) to see and support this fine store. I will certainly be back when I next have an opportunity!

ALWAYS include a stop here on every vist. Beautiful, genuine craft work and art. Gorgeous to walk through but difficult to not use your entire budget here. It is a MUST DO on every Cherokee visit.

Beautiful shop with so many unique and one-of-a-kind items. Truly a learning experience for us. I had no idea of the detail that goes into weaving! We came twice and found beautiful things to bring home. :)
