3/19/25 update: I submitted a complaint through Discount Tire Customer Service web page. The Store Manager contacted me the very next day, acknowledged their error, apologized and compensated me for the amount I missed. I give very high marks to Discount Tire for their commitment to customer service and their responsiveness. Based on this, I am changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.
Original post: I am profoundly disappointed and upset with my recent experience with Discount Tire.
A few years ago, I had purchased 4 new Michelin Defender tires from Discount Tire for my 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid car with 41469 miles. At that time, I paid $592 + install cost + taxes for the tires. The tires had a 90000-mile new tire mileage warranty, which was touted by the store and was one of my key reasons for going with that specific tire. Last week, I purchased 4 new tires online from Discount Tire to replace the tires on my Accord, as the they were getting worn out. I went to the store on Saturday 3/15 to get them installed. I waited for about 15 minutes before service person Brian W. offered to assist me. He inspected the tires, and said they were all evenly worn down to 4/32 tread depth, and the odometer reading was 84074. This meant the Michelins had lasted only 42605 miles (84704 minus 41469), which was less than half of the 90K warranty. I asked Brian about the pro-rated warranty credit. After spending 5+ minutes on the computer, Brian told me I would get a credit of $89.47. I was expecting to get $$592 *(90000-42605)/ 90000 = $311.75 or thereabouts. I politely asked Brian how he came up with the $89.47 number and he feigned ignorance on the calculation and blamed it on the computer. He was not willing to acknowledge my concern and offered numerous excuses, including advice to call the tire manufacturer if I was not happy. He ignored my request when I asked to speak with a manager. After several minutes of futile conversation, I felt I had no choice but to accept the $89.47, to get the new tires installed, and so I acquiesced. I was not treated fairly by Discount Tire. They failed to meet their contractual obligations. I am considering options available to me to seek redress.

This place is normally good but today I pulled in for air waited my turn then pulled up... the attendant who did the previous customers air saw me waiting... but when my turn came he left and went helped the customer he just did air and put wiper blades on... so i continued to sit for maybe 5mins maybe a little more workers saw me sitting and did nothing.. eventually I just left because no one ever serviced me.

Thanks so much! It was very close to their closing time unbeknownst to me but my tire needed air or so I thought. Kade & Tanner checked my tire thoroughly & advised me on what would be needed moving forward with my tires. It made me cry cause a single female I could of been stranded. Grateful for their help and i will definitely return for services in the future! Thanks

Paul is a great guy!! Awesome customer service!! He’s good with people! Great prices and excellent customer service!! Why buy tires anywhere else? I bought my tiers online at 3pm. I drove to the store at 5pm and out the door in 30 mins. Great work by the team at the Concord Mills store.

Kade is the most unprofessional representative I have come across at this location. It’s astonishing that he gets paid to loiter/stand around and do nothing. He (and the other employees) failed to acknowledge me so after six minutes of waiting l, I reached out to Kade for assistance— he said “someone will be with you in a second”…I waited, looking right at him for five minutes…HE STOOD AROUND DOING NOTHING! Unacceptable behavior; it is not okay to needlessly waste a client’s time…as a business owner I find his behavior to be appalling. At least Kade was paid for standing around and doing nothing, I have a business to run so my time shouldn’t be so needlessly wasted.
RYAN N. was kind enough to help me and was very pleasant. This location is really a hit/miss when it comes to service…and sadly I have been their client for nearly a decade at this point…but enough is enough, I can no longer tolerate their lack of customer service…my time is valuable and so is my money…I’m sure another tire shop will be happy to provide better service.

Colton, and team were courteous. Extremely fast, in and out. I had a short window to get an alignment after tire replacement, fastest service ever at any repair shop. Great job!. Thank you, again.
