Don’t let them tow your car if you’re in the Durham area!! They charge way more than competitors for storage and other various fees. They are crooks.

My experience: The personable men at Henderson’s know what they are doing and take pride in doing quality work. The autobody and repair work I needed was done to perfection. Anthony Jr. made sure the communication was good from beginning to end.My only complaint is that their “credit card machine was down.” Based on previous reviews, I believe that this is a chronic..errr... perpetual, problem. I have experienced this many times at establishments where you buy a sandwich or a coffee, and one can’t help but think it’s on purpose, but these kinds of repairs can run into the thousands of dollars. I believe the reluctance to take credit cards, possibly, could be dealt with in other ways, such as offering a cash discount, while still preserving the convenience for those who desire it or need it.Note: I did not get multiple quotes. I decided to try out Henderson’s because it is a local, family-operated business. I was hoping they would do good work and I would not be disappointed (note: I wasn’t), but if it’s the best price you’re after, I cannot speak to that.Bottom line: I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them for autobody work.Extra: The gravy is that they returned my car to me only after giving it an unexpected mini-detail, inside and out. Now that I know they also do detailing, for sure I will be a return customer. I left happy and grateful.

Please avoid this place! When the car was dropped off they said they accept credit cards, but when it was time to pick it up they said their credit card machine was down and would not be fixed for at least 2 weeks, so we would have to pay cash. It was a real hardship coming up with thousands of dollars cash like that, after being told we could pay by card. Work cost a lot more than they had said, took twice as long as they had said, and they would not provide an itemized receipt (which is illegal under NC law) so we had no idea where this increased price came from or whether it was legit. Shady - stay away!!

DO NOT use this shop for body work. Stay away. Due to previous reviews noting that this place didn't take cards, I confirmed with Mr. Henderson that they did, in fact, take cards. After getting that confirmation and an estimate of $3,500 for some body work, I dropped my car off. He said it'd take about a week, max. Took 2 weeks, and he ended up wanting $1,000 more for the job. THEN, WHEN THE JOB WAS DONE, he said that his card reader was down and it might take 2 weeks or more to fix. THEN he gave some BS excuse about how even if/when it did come back online, he could only put $2,000 on a card transaction. I balked, said I'd wait till his card reader came up and split the bill over cash and card. He said he'd charge me $100 a day as a storage fee for every day I waited. So basically I had no choice but to pay $4,500 cash. He didn't provide an itemized bill--which is illegal in NC. So I have no idea what parts he replaced, what they cost, etc. Now I'm damn near flat broke AND HE STILL DIDN'T FIX EVERYTHING. Twice I've had to bring it back to him to fix stuff he should've caught the first time. And I still have to bring it back to him again, for a 3rd time--still something wrong. Dude has no business being in business. I'm filing a complaint with the NC Consumer Protection Division and the BBB.

Quick and courteous service. Took my car in to fix a dent in the door and the owner quickly gave us a quote and in 1 day I had my car back. It took less time and money than any other quote I received for the fix. Cash only.
