UPDATE: By reading other reviews, I see I am not the only person to have had the same issue.
I ordered a hitching lighting kit online and prepaid. The appointment was scheduled for 6pm last Wednesday. I arrived 30 minutes early. But they stated their technician leaves at 3pm. So they rescheduled with me for Friday at 9 am.
I waited all day Thursday and then arrived again at 9 am on Friday and they said their technician could not come in again, this time because they said the technician had a flood in their home. (Which I have heard this before from another location, so I am hesitant to believe.)
I have spent 4 hours driving back and forth to this location, had to reschedule my plans now twice, lost an extra 2 days to complete my project and lost 1 day to find another company who could have helped me install the wiring and now I am left with no options.
I waited on the phone for UHAUL customer service for an hour. The rep was sweet and tried her best to try to find another location to help but being LAST minute (because I found out at the time of the 2nd scheduled appointment that I would need to find another location), she was unable to help. I am now calling around other companies and desperate because I need to leave out of state with my trailer. I could have had all day yesterday to call and find another company, but I was already scheduled for today.
I felt I was fair and reasonable and understanding the 1st time, but this last minute issue after another whole day had passed and not giving me any other alternative, and with an iffy excuse leaves me unable to trust them.
If the tech really did have a flood in their home, I feel bad for them. But I have heard this excuse from employees before and if this was just another excuse because they didn't want to come to work on a Friday, shame on them.
Oh well, nothing I can do about it. Just seems like they have a reputation for not having professionalism and thought I could add my situation for others to know.

I rented a trailer. They failed to secure it ... simply put it on the ball. And failed to cross the chains. All of this was discovered on their camera, after the accident. 15 miles from the store, on I-85, the trailer came off the ball, and began to thrash the back of my car. I struggled to slide over to the shoulder. When I slowed down the trailer came loose completely, crossing 4 lanes of I-85, and coming to rest in the high speed lane. It could have killed people. This location admitted their mistakes, but UHaul insurance still refuses to pay to fully repair the rear of my car. So 1. check their install. 2. check the chains. 3. Don't expect UHaul to make it right if something goes wrong. I hate to write this, but need to warn folks.

Not sure if they read my initial review or if someone there realized they messed up and needed to do the right thing, but Brandy provided appropriate compensation for my trouble. She ordered the hitch and accessories for my SUV and schedule my appointment. Everything was installed yesterday. I have not used the hitch yet and not sure when I will so I hope it was done correctly. I have no reason to suspect it wasn't . All of this could have been avoided with a little communication. Thank you

After moving out ot this unit, (at a location other than the main office) it took three calls to the office before we were not put on indefinate hold. When we finally were able to reach an agent, he was rude and informed us that we would be REQUIRED to personally close the unit at their home location, a drive of over two hours, refused to close out the account, told us he was busy, then hung up on us. We were then charged the next month payment even though we had never set up an automatic payment plan. We are currently in the process of disputing the billing and filing a complaint for fraud with the local authorities. I suggest that you have nothing to do with this facility.

Brandy is the rudest person ever. I can’t even begin to think that she is the General Manager. Uhaul must have very low standards.

Too many hidden fees. $1 environmental fee? $8 rental tax? I also got charged $21 for gas despite driving 13 miles total (supposed to be around $4/gallon). They already charge like $1.20/mile so to get stiffed on gas was egregious. An otherwise pleasant experience was overshadowed by fees that wouldn't have been a problem if properly addressed at the beginning.

Customer service is spotty. Some of them are very nice but the evening shift is HORRIBLE!!! They are Lazy. Clearly don't want to be there and make sure the customer suffers for their lack of interests. You know someone is lying when they have multiple excuses for a problem, the excuse this evening, the propane is locked... It's always locked... You have the key... I've been coming here for 2 years. Just tell me you don't want to it.

Had an appointment today at 10:30AM to have a hitch installed on my vehicle and when I arrived at 10:20AM I was asked if I could come back tomorrow because they just found out a “few minutes ago” the technician wasn’t coming in today. Unbelievable I have had this appointment for weeks, it was also confirmed via email 2 days ago and I show up and magically the mechanic isn’t available. I’m no expert but MOST companies do not allow a worker to call off just a few minutes before shift. So I smell BS in the excuse. The fact I drove 55 minutes to get this hitch installed and I get canceled on as soon as I walk in the door infuriates me!!! No compassion, no remorse and NO SOLUTION to the issue. They could have offered sending the part to a “CLOSER” I haul and expediting service to me but the gentleman working today could have cared less about my inconvenience and wasted time, money and gas. Pathetic customer service to say the very least. Shameful they did not try to accommodate me in any other way beside coming back tomorrow and driving another 2 hours round trip. Uhaul lost all of our business!!!

If I could rate 0 star, I would rated. The service was horrible. I rented a small truck with about 1 and half hour, drove about 30 miles. It was cost almost 100$. Highly not recommended
