Review is for the room, did not play golf. Close to Hendersonville, a great town with lots of shops. Asheville is about 30-40 minutes and there is major construction on 26 causing traffic issues. Lots of back roads as you approach from the north--watch for blind corners! Very scenic location. "Jump Off Rock" is nearby, but got lost trying to access. We stayed in #115. Needs major updating. Possible Bedbug infestation as we all had itchy bites in the morning. Mattress was uncomfortable. TV only has basic cable. Can hear the folks above- floors are thin. Has a cheap motel feel as the door leads directly outside. Heater/Air conditioner was functional but loud. Pet fee was $35, reasonable. Patio would be nice if it was de-bugged and upgraded. FYI this has no free breakfast, from past reviews one may better off at Dunkin's. We never ate at the restaurant. It's cheap, but you get less than you paid for. No excuses On the possibility of bedbugs. Will be considering accommodations in Hendersonville in the future.

Beautiful place, friendly staff and very accommodating considering it's in a small town location. Highly recommend.Nearby activities: Tennis courts, golf and restaurants just up the road off the highway? Just a beautiful place with tons to do.

I had gone here many times in the past but had not been back for a few years. With so many mixed reviews my group and I were a little trepadatious but were pleasantly surprised. I have to begin with Ms.Louis. She went to full lengths to meet our every request while helping to organize our trip as well as when we visited. If you want to play a challenging but very fun golf course, this is the place. Every course around should envy their fairways and the greens rolled great. The GPS system in the carts was the best I've ever seen. For a course which is in the process of upgrading, well done.

We played golf on a day trip. So I don't have an opinion on the rooms or the service for the lodging. But I will say we had a great on the course. Everyone is so nice and cheerful. Especially Jack, who was the starter/ranger for the day. @Jack thank you for your service to our country in the Air Force. You made a day most enjoyable. We'll be back the last week in August in 2024.

Asked for a tee time in the afternoon, was told they had none. Used their practice facility for 3 hours in the afternoon and saw 1 group tee off.

The actual golfing experience was great and the people were fantastic. We played the South course twice and each of the North and West courses once. Only drawback was that the restaurant menu on the website hadn't been updated and only sandwiches and salads were available for lunch and dinner. Other than that, it was a good little mountain golf trip.

Good golf and clean rooms. The grounds were very well kept. They need to serve coffee somewhere in the morning however. The coffee pot in the room only has the cheap prepackaged coffee.

We played the South 9-hole course on 15 Aug 2023 and it was in rough shape. The greens were decent, although quite slow. The fairways were full of muddy spots and bare dirt spots, and crabgrass grows on parts of the fairways and in the rough. The tee boxes were not well manicured. The cart path is in dire need of repair in many places. On the day we played the course was very wet. Tee shots plugging. The layout is nice and you can still have fun, but if you're expecting pristine conditions this isn't the place.

Probably the worst kept golf course in memory. No effort made to maintain bunkers (an embarrassment) , cart paths, or even greens. Playable if you have five hours or so to kill. Bring your own water and/or refreshment because it's essentially unavailable on the course. For what you pay here a much better value by far is Connestee Falls. Not even a close comparison.

I recently had the opportunity to play at the Etowah Valley Golf Course and had a somewhat disappointing experience. The course has three 9-hole courses, we played the North/South combo. Unfortunately the courses, especially the North Course, had drawbacks that significantly impacted the overall enjoyment of the game.Starting with the North Course, one minor grievance was the kitchen was closed at the turn, which happened around 5pm. This was quite inconvenient for players who wanted to grab a quick bite to eat during their round. Although the bar was open, the lack of basic hot dogs was disappointing.Another issue on the North Course was the inconsistency between the pin positions and the GPS system in the cart. It was frustrating to rely on the GPS for accurate distances and then find out that the pin was in a different location. Additionally, it was evident that the pins had recently been moved, but the old holes had not been filled, which created an unappealing and inconsistent putting surface.Furthermore, the bunkers on the North Course were in extremely poor condition. They had not been raked, and there was noticeable growth, ranging from minor to major, which detracted from the overall aesthetic appeal. Additionally, there were major drainage problems, making it challenging or impossible to play out of the bunkers effectively. On the South Course, one of the main issues was that it was designated as "Cart Path Only." While this is sometimes necessary for maintenance purposes, it significantly affects the pace of play and limits the overall experience of navigating the course freely. Moreover, there was a technical issue with the cart locking itself on the cart path when the GPS mistakenly believed that we had entered the fairway. This unexpected occurrence disrupted the flow of the game and created unnecessary inconvenience. On a positive note, the greens on both courses were well maintained and in nice shape.Taking everything into consideration, I have mixed feelings about the Etowah Valley Golf Course. While the greens were in good condition, no food, unfilled pins and pin position mismatch, bunker maintenance, drainage problems, cart restrictions, and technical glitches dampened the overall experience. At a price point of $47, I would hesitate to play this course again unless significant improvements are made to address the aforementioned concerns.

The golf course was in good shape, the staff was very friendly and a great value for the stay and play package.Food & drinks: Sierra Nevada Brewing Company was nearby.
