I had my transmission rebuilt in June of 2023. It lasted 1 year. In June of 2024 it stopped working and wouldn't shift out of 1st gear. I had it towed to Triad Transmission because it was still 'under warranty.' 1 month later they said it was fixed. We drove out there to pick it up and it still wouldn't shift out of 1st gear. So we left it there for them to fix. 1 month later we are told it is fixed and that they had to replace the Control Module which would be 'around $400-$500,' because the module is 'outside' of the transmission and not covered under warranty. We get there and they charge us $1675 and only accept cash. We start going home and it STILL WON'T SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR!!! So we drove it home all the way in 1st gear because we are not taking it back to these crooks!!! DO NOT BRING your vehicle here! They will take your money and not actually fix anything.

Great people and they do great work for a reasonable price. I'll be taking my vehicle's here from now on, I'm 45 mins away but it's worth the drive bc I know I'm getting a great deal and I know the work will be done right the first time.

They rebuild my mom's transmission about 3 months ago very good work gave a great warranty doing good so far no problems, also had my AC compressor replaced gave a good price working good. I have no complaints with their work. I would recommend them to anyone, no garage is perfect but if they stand behind their work that all you can ask for.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I took my car to them for a transmission rebuild. Well the first time they got the car in and out no problems. Well once I got it back it was not driving smoothly, I called and mentioned it to them and was told “that’s normal”. Well after about a month I decided to take it back to them for another look because the jerking was just getting worse. I dropped it off with them for the second time and was told that the transmission casing was busted and that it was going to take them some time to find a new one. After waiting and waiting, never received any calls from them. Each contact we had I initiated. It was never right each time and they had to continue to keep it and “get it right”. They kept my car for over 2 months! Every single time I called they would say “it’ll be done Tuesday”. Needless to say it was never done. I finally got fed up and wanted my car back because obviously they didn’t know how to fix it or it would’ve been right within the altogether 3 months they had the car. Even now the car does not run correctly. I would never return to this establishment or ever recommend it to anybody. DO NOT GO HERE.Service: Transmission

If I could I would give them zero stars! They don't even deserve one star!! They've had my 72 year old friends car in their shop since June!! So he's been having to drive his gas hog truck back and forth to different places! Here it is August 17th, ya'll need to get your heads on straight and get some work ethic or tell him u can't fix it and give it back to him!!! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!

100% recommend Triad Transmission! It is crazy that they don't have 5 star reviews. It is completely wrong! This shop is perfect and on-time, with amazing quality work and awesome customer service. I drove an hour to get there from Holly Springs and would do it again without hesitation. They rebuilt my transmission and are now working on an engine for my hotrod. Whatever i can give them, I will. No shop in the Triangle up here can begin to compare to the team at Triad. My truck drives amazing thanks to them!

The person this review most relates to calls himself Junior. He has to be the worst business man on the planet. He lied about towing my car back to Charlotte. He lied about letting me know immediately the results of his 10,000 dollar scanner. He never did. He continuously made excuses for why my CRV was not ready.And he simply was unable to fix my transmission. I doubt he even did anything to it at all. It ran the same as it did before when I picked it up.Oh did I mention he got nasty rude when I asked why my car was not ready. His comment was "come get your car off my property!" The "or else" was the implied threat he was making. I felt like he had just stolen my car!Believe the one star reviews. His five star reviews have to be his drinking buddies. His distribution of ratings is not possible to be real. He has a bunch of (fake) 5 star reviews and a bunch of real 1 star reviews but almost nothing in between. That distribution indicates a high likelihood of deception.Color me shocked.Service: Transmission

I can't understand the bad reviews on here about this place. I had a 2003 Ford Ranger, v6, 3.0L, automatic that needed a transmission. I spoke with Jr. He told me if I got it to him by early on Tuesday, he could have it ready on Fri, by noon. Well, my tow guy was late getting it up there. It didn't actually make it, until late Tuesday, and still, it was ready on fri!!!!! It runs beautifully!!!!! Warranty was thoroughly explained..EVERYONE was so friendly. And!!!! They also text message!!! Yay, yippee!!! So I did receive updates via text message. The quoted price was the exact price. An 18month, unlimited mile warranty, on parts and labor???!!!!!! That's just TOTALLY awesome!!!!! A huge thank you to each and everyone of yall, for being so kind and understanding(when I couldn't find them on the pickup day,lol). I will ABSOLUTELY tell ANY and EVERYONE about them...100% satisfied and grateful for these ppl!!!!!!Services: Battery

I took my 89 chevy k1500 to JR and his guys on a Monday trans had no reverse and slipped 3-4 gears JR himself kept me updated on the whole process and here it is Friday I am due to receive my truck back it took these guys 4 days to rebuild my transmission and do a few other things that is amazing if you ask me and the really good price makes it immaculate work I am very Anxious to get my truck back and see how she is I will update my review after that time but so far I have referred 2 guys and these will be my guys thanks triadService: Transmission

I’m not one to make post or reviews but this is a must. This place did me a solid like none other. I originally messed up and let a friend replace my transmission twice and it kept getting worse. I gave him chance after chance only to end up with beautiful car that couldn’t go anywhere. That ended our friendship and I was still out of a car. The car sat for over a year. I took it to a few places, rather limped it and they all gave me OUTRAGEOUS quotes. So high it was unobtainable. Then I came across Triad Transmission. Like you I read the reviews and some were good n some were not so good. I’m a firm believer in you can’t satisfy everyone. That being said I had no problem contacting them. Not only did they (Jr) give me a fantastic price he also came to pick up my car. While there he received more of my business for my other vehicle that needed a trans rebuild (I was Badluck Schleprock with transmissions) and he returned the following day for it. When he had the car his communication was stellar!! If anything went wrong he advised me ASAP n didn’t make a move till he contacted me. And his techs are extremely knowledgeable and courteous. ALL OF THEM! The receptionist is the glue that holds the place together. Always smiling and always kind in person and over the phone. Not only were both my trans rebuilt but it was one stop shopping for other issues related to the previous mechanic. They restored my faith n honest mechanics. My cars’ operate superb now. They have a customer for life here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! U won’t be sorry. Thanks Triad Transmission!
