Stopped here to check out this sweet little shop and beyond getting some gorgeous henna tattoos, chatting with the owners was the highlight! I love hearing people's stories, and this family has an amazing one. The whole family is talented :). Stop by and check this place out, it won't disappoint!

This gallery, owned by a native Hatteras Island family for more than 30 years, is not an ordinary art gallery. Sure, they offer paintings and other artwork by their family of artisans, but they also offer rock art, driftwood art and their latest creation, oyster shell art. Sarah Allender is the jewelry designer on site. She also has her own signature etched glass that is fun and whimsical. They sell thousands of beads, too, so this is a great place to make your own custom jewelry. They also do hair wraps, ear piercing and henna tattoos.

My daughter and I stopped in on our last day on Hatteras. She got a great looking Henna tattoo, and I found an awesome lighthouse piece. All the jewelry is handmade.Shelia was very welcoming and chatted about her love of art and being a lifelong resident.Highly recommend adding Sunsational as a great local business to support.

Such a wonderful place. The owners are so kind and their art is truly unique and very beautiful. It's fun to make jewelry with the dozens of bead choices, and the setting is super cool - lots of wildlife to enjoy right outside the window!
