I have been using BB&T and now Truist for over 16 years now. Kelly Johnson at the 40/42 Branch has been the best teller I have ever dealt with. I own a small business and she is the best at dealing with my deposits and other transactions. She knows her stuff and is the most efficient at dealing with customers. She makes this branch for me. The 5 stars is for her.

Absolute worst customer service and deposit issues on multiple occasions. Constant problems with online banking, etc. Please get your employees some much-needed training in customer service.

We unfortunately had the experience of being “helped” by the branch manager, Vanessa. Our account had been hacked and money was stolen. Truist did not catch it. We did. When we went into the bank to discuss it, Vanessa was hostile to us from the start. She kept implying it was our fault. When she discovered I share the account with my special needs daughter (so she can receive her benefits) she said “if she is unable to oversee her own account then she needs to be removed from it”. (We opened the account in person several years back with our daughter present - it wasn’t an issue EVER because I’m on the account too and oversee it.) Vanessa’s hostility was palpable. She never once smiled. Never said “oh wow that’s terrible that your account was hacked” or even “how can I help?” The first thing out of her mouth was how she wouldn’t be able to help us if the transaction was pending. She kept saying that we had a responsibility in this hacking. Ummmm….WHY?. Truist, with their millions of dollars in fraud prevention didn’t catch the hacking. Little ‘ol’ me did. Honestly I don’t know why she was so hostile. We were totally fine and not upset or anything going into the bank. By the time we left, I was in tears. She was THAT unpleasant. We have now closed all of our accounts with Truist. I felt compelled to write this review and name Vanessa because the experience so upsetting.

This particular truist location has been good each time I went, and no issues but I’m making this review about truists money transfer service “Zelle” overall.
—BE AWARE WHEN USING ZELLE!!!! IF A TRANSACTION YOU TRY TO SEND ERRORS OUT AND DOESNT SEND THEN WHEN YOU TRY AGAIN AND SEND ANOTHER IT MAY ALSO SEND THE FIRST ATTEMPT TOO. it’s not a big issue for me since I was transferring to a trusted person who sent the extra money back to me but if I had been transferring to a stranger I would have double-paid them a huge sum of money!!!!!!!!!!!!! BE CAREFUL USING ZELLE!

Wonderful out of the way branch. We have been appreciative Truist customers many years. Wandered in needing a notary, a delightful teller greeted us and notarized our document.

Team there just seems so bland and hateful. Left truist in June and had to come to collect my statements and everyone in the office just seemed so depressed and angry.

Money is not secure here, opened up a business account at this branch and hacked twice in months. No refund and stuck paying fees, take your business elsewhere.

I have been a customer at this bank for 20 years and it’s always been great except when I go to this back. I’m always treated disrespectfully here and they take forever to check my account and profile, but when a white person is doing a transaction beside me they are always treated better and taken care of faster than me.

It pains us to go to this BB&T every month, I don’t think there is another one around. The teller K Johnson has the worse attitude! It’s always an ordeal to make a transaction.

I have been a customer since 2015 and overall the banking has been solid. However the ATM machine at this site is garbage and needs to be replaced. Machine is down more then it is up and if you can get your money 2 weekends out of the month your doing good. Constantly complain about the ATM to management and they do not care. The ATM machine is from 1980. Reported to corporate.
