Arrived late and most of the food was gone. Tried the country style steak and even sitting in gravy it was crispy and delicious.

We just ate breakfast here for the first time. I had a blueberry waffle and bacon and my husband had eggs over easy with grits and bacon. The waffle was delicious, my husband said his eggs and grits were delicious as well. I should have asked for crispy bacon but that’s on me. We will definitely be back to support this local restaurant. The price was good too!

Like something you'd find somewhere out in the country. I came across it accidentally in maps en route to Hillsborough proper. A good, basic breakfast type place but I think they're open for lunch as well. Four different 'combo' options. All sorts of different side choices as well. Eggs were either large or XL. Either way, they were big. Bacon was perfect, just rigid enough without being crispy. Perfect overall to what I'd expect.

I started eating at Jacks restaurant when they were located on old 70. Then the White's bought or rented the building and jacks moved to where they are at now. I've eaten at Jack's since 1987 or it could have been 1988. But I'm hear to tell you, it's country cooking and you feel like your grandma is back cooking you breakfast and lunch. If you have noticed that the old Jack's restaurant address is no longer there and it's a B.P. gas convenience store. I'm coming back to eat at Jack's soon. Be honest with you, i really have forgotten about Jack's because i live off old 10 the Durham area. I'm happy i ran across this.. Come to Jack's and get cha some good vittles or country cooking. r.addison jr. I use to work for a Surveyor in downtown Hillsborough, Steve Y. P.L.S. and he was on the city council.

Staff is friendly but they were out of many items as I was told breakfast was “over” when I arrived at 10:20 so I was only able to get “crispy” (burnt) bacon or sausage as my side with breakfast. The food was underwhelming but not bad. Meager portions but a decent price. Came here based off the reviews of “best breakfast in Hillsboro”… I was sorely mislead.

The food was AMAZING, the staff was prompt and friendly, and the price is right! We had 2 breakfast platters and paid umder 15.00 for both of meals, including drinks! Run, don't walk to Jack's!

If you don't enjoy grubby holes in the wall then go on down the road to the chain restaurant - that will be more to your liking. If you can look past the wear and tear - the patina left behind from serving thousands of customers then you'll love this little gem. The owner's are wonderfully caring people who obviously work hard. We showed up just after breakfast but lunch kind of wasn't all ready yet so we had a limited menu of selections. It was great - just like you would cook at home. Nice comfort food. My wife just had surgery and they saw she had an ice pack and offered to refill it with ice for her. They gave us some hush puppies lots of smiles and kind words. Wish this place was closer to home but definitely hope to be back for breakfast sometime.

Jack’s is a hidden gem frequented by long time area residents. It is not unusual to see multiple law enforcement vehicles in the parking lot during the breakfast hours. Homestyle cooking in an “out of the way”, yet in town, restaurant. Lunch offers a choice of multiple meats and vegetables.
