It's a very old school theatre. It does not have stadium seating, recliners, or reserved seats, but the sound and picture quality is actually pretty decent.What makes this place 5 stars is the low price. It's $7 for a ticket and only $2 for a popcorn or a drink. Just be aware that it's cash only and the ticket booth opens about 25 minutes before the showing. Also: there are no trailers.

Very family friendly. When I was a teenager we hung out at the movies at night and the parents didn't mind bc the owner would keep an eye on us by walking up and down the asiles pointing a flashlight at whoever was kissing in the dark. Just a good ol southern theater!

Very quaint, old theatre. A little TLC is needed. The community needs to pitch in and restore this historic treasure.

Experience was the best. Great value for movie and concessions. Very nostalgic place. Popcorn ? and drinks $2 each and $7 movie. Friendly owner/manager and concessions member. My family goes every year and the same people are there.

Great customer service, clean, and great for movies on the weekend. Definitely recommend checking it out and prices are cheaper than most movie theatres. Normally at 7pm (19:00) tickets are 10-12.50 a person but for adults it's only 7 dollars.

Quaint little theater. Get there early to get affordable concessions and seat. I don't think there is a bad seat there, though. Loved it!

The Pioneer Theatre is a great theatre to visit on the Outer Banks. It is located downtown Manteo and offers an antique feel because it is a very old theatre. The owner of the theatre is very friendly and greets you outside as you buy your tickets.

Lovely place to take the family for movie night. Friendly folks, great prices, don’t have to sit through previews. I read previous reviews about the theater smelling bad so was nervous, but it was totally fine. Smelled like popcorn ;)
