Hard to rate a southern course this time of year. The greens at Lion’s Paw weren’t great. Bunkers needed sand. But that’s kinda expected in early March after a particularly tough winter. I would expect improved conditions in late spring

Panther’s Run was a fun course! A few rough spots on some green, but overall worth the price!

I enjoyed the course. The layout was fun, and the course was in very good condition. The course had two carts with refreshments that I saw. We only bought items from one and she was very pleasant. My only negative comment is about the gentleman inside who checked us in. He was rude to us and treated like second-class citizens because my buddy made reservations the night before on the Golfnow App. He tried to call the course, but it was after hours, so he went to his app and made the reservations. I asked for tips for the course since I had never played it before, and he responded, 'hit it in the fairway'. The bag drop guys and the starter were also very helpful. The price was reasonable, so I will probably go back.

Attitude is a choice, as is where you play golf (never going here again).
Staff in the pro shop was extremely rude and condescending. Have never felt so disrespected during the simple act of checking in for a round of golf.
The golf was...ok.

Course alone deserves a 4 star rating. 2 stars comes due to the staff at check in the pro shop. Complete jerk. Not customer focused. Not welcoming. Questioned his associate whether or not we had checked in all 6 golfers as if we we trying to not pay for all our golfers. Admonished his associate openly over her error in registering 2 of our group. When asked if there was a military discount, his response was 'military? Are you kidding? Everyone is military down here. But thank you for your service'. Condescension amongst staff was broad. The gentleman that checked us in at the pro shop should not be handling customers. Being a local - I will not come back and advise my golfing community to not waste time as well.

The staff is about as welcoming as the drunk tank at the myrtle beach PD...

Worst greens I've ever played. Grab grass patches on the green that were 2 inches long, dead spots everwhere, the greens were longer than the fairways...garbage. Their greens keeper must have just quit.
They claimed not in season so its being worked on. Excuse for not taking care of the course. Oh yeah they charged us full price too. We had a rain check for 4 people. We came back with 3 people and we said don't worry about the 4th no need to give us an extra rain check back. $65 per person We asked for a small bucket to warm up and they charged us. I was thinking didnt we just give you $65 back because the 4th person isn't using it and then you charge us for a small bucket? This place needs to take some etiquette and mowing classes. Find a better place to play
