Definitely don't recommend you all coming here . I'm not one that writes bad reviews but I have the time today. I rented from Hertz 3-17-20. I did so by using priceline instead of going directly through Hertz. My total with priceline was one amount but when I got to the Hertz location I was charged an extra fee for being underage plus the deposit fee (which is understandable). In total I paid $380 after leaving the office, $200 of that was the deposit and the $80 was for the underage fee. This price does not include what I paid on priceline. The car I received was VERY nice. The agreement or contract was that I rented the car 3-17-20 to 3-22-20. On that Sunday I decided I wanted to keep the rental for four more days. I did so by calling the Hertz customer service number. I explained to the gentleman what I wanted to do and I was charged $240 for the extra days, a deposit of $215, and a late fee of $64 (which is understandable). BUT I NEVER RECEIVED A RECEIPT EXPLAINING WHAT I WAS CHARGED FOR OR WHY I WAS CHARGED. I had to figure out what those charges were for on my own. The gentlemen on the phone didn't tell me that they would take another deposit (this is customer service by the way). I was never informed that on the phone. I only knew of this because I checked my bank statements. I returned the rental on the day I was suppose to return the rental (3-26-20). I placed the key in the drop box because there was no one in the Hertz office on a Thursday at 4 oclock. I was informed that I would receive a closing receipt and never received one. I checked my account days later and notice that 3 payments of $69 along with a payment of $480 was taken out of my account! At this point I was livid AND I STILL AM! MY ACCOUNT WAS NEVER CLOSED OUT, SO THAT IS THE REASON FOR THE 3 PAYMENTS OF $69. I FINALLY DID RECEIVE MY CLOSE OUT RECEIPT AND IT STATED THAT I OWED $480. SO MY QUESTION TO HERTZ WAS HOW?!!! HOW DID I OWE YOU ALL $480 WHEN I PAID ALL OF MY FEES BEFORE HAND. IF I DIDN'T DAMAGE THE RENTAL AND PAID ALL OF MY FEES, HOW WAS THERE A CHARGE AT ALL?! Exactly, there shouldn't have been a charge!! It should've just been a simple close out and my money should've been returned for the deposit. I called the actual office to get an explanation and the guy didn't know how to explain it. He was basically saying, " oh well this is what the receipt says". VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO EXPLAIN TO ME EXACTLY WHAT I WAS CHARGED FOR! On top of that I only received TWO receipts from them. What ever happened to the third one? When I called customer service they explained that they did not see any statements saying that I paid for anything, WHICH IS A DAMN LIE!! My bank statements definitely show other wise!! I spent nearly 1,200 for a car that isn't even in my name! I definitely want ALL THAT IS OWED TO ME OR I AM GETTING MY LAWYER INVOLVED, SIMPLE! I definitely tried to be professional and nice about it, but that has gotten me no where but constantly paying them cash. I am currently waiting to hear back from them because I have an open case. Of course that will be a long process! If they would've handle this the right way we wouldn't be having such a dispute. I just really pray that I get back ALL THAT IS OWED TO ME, AND I MEAN ALL! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS LOCATION. THE REVIEWS ARE TRUE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! They will also clean out your account if you don't pay attention. True scammers!

Waited 45 minutes for service while the Hertz employees had an "employee meeting". Car received had not been cleaned. Car quality was good however. Upon returning the car on Thursday (per the rental agreement) they forgot to check it in until Monday, which accumulated a $900 hold on my credit card. My credit card company sent me a text message "potential fraudulent charge", so even they thought this was fishy. The first receipt I received incorrectly charged my card for an extra day plus a 'late return charge'! It required 2 phone calls for them to correct this mistake. Final bill was $3 more than the original paperwork and no one could explain why. Overall, a disaster. No wonder the average review for this Hertz location (as of today on Google reviews) is 2.4 stars. Recommend anyone looking to rent a car to steer clear of this location. My business occasionally uses this location for car rentals, but have decided to choose a different rental company moving forward due to this experience.

Chris is the new manager of this location and has excellent customer service skills. Chris gives the service needed to make renting from here an ease and a pleasure. I rented for business and had many changes occur during my trip. Each time I called Chris was available to make the changes I needed to make my trip a success.

Excellent experience! Chris was incredibly professional, polite, and personable. Walked right in and 15 minutes later drove right out. The car was clean and the gas tank full.

There was a miscommunication with the Hertz company in general and they didnt update our reservation. Luckily Chris, the only staff here, went above and beyond to make sure we got a car when we needed to travel safely and avoid severe weather. He made sure we got it for our quoted price and gave us tips on saving $ for next time. He was kind, courteous, and intelligent. Would recommend this Hertz location because of him.

Demetri (or however you spell his name) is the the rudest. Not very intelligent either. My rental car sucked. They charged my 50$ for a deposit and it has taken over a week and I still have not seen my refund. Such a JOKE.

Yes there is only one person working but he was really helpful and kind after an auto accident. Chris went above and beyond to stay in touch regarding the insurance claim and worked with my schedule.

There is a reason why 1-star is the predominant review for this location. His name is "Chris" and he's the manager, a person who has no idea how to manage and certainly knows nothing about customer service. The second reason is that it's not a Hertz location at all. It's a body shop - seemingly a good one even - that rented what looks like a storage room to "Chris". The only thing "Hertz" about it is a tiny sign in the window and a banner at the driveway entrance to the body shop.

This one and the one on Hillsborough road in Durham have been awful to deal with. About 50 percent of them are rude on the phone, they are impossible to get ahold of, they don't call you back when they say they will, and most of the time they're confused about what you're saying even when you're being clear, plain, and direct. They seem to have a lot of “mixupsâ€. Right now, they are over a half hour late to pick me up, because of another mixup, and they didn't call to say they would be 45 minutes late. I had to call them. I've been dealing with them on the phone a lot trying to make a reservation. State Farm works with them only so that is why I didn't go with someone else. Next time I would have my own insurance cover it and get enterprise!

As you have read in other reviews the customer service at this location suffers severely due to the lack of personnel. It is unrealistic to ask a single person to handle the rentals, answer the phone, and drive cars back and forth to pick up and drop off locations. One day I called TEN (10) times throughout the day to let the person know I had returned the vehicle to a local body shop every time the phone just rang and rang without the option of leaving a message. Then I was charged an additional three days because my vehicle wasn't ready until late in the day on a Friday and the location is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Why should I be charged as a result of their business hours? Worst customer service I have ever received.

I had a 10am appointment to pick up a car. I saw 3 different Hertz employees from 10-10:30am and no one gave me the time of day as they did their different jobs. I finally asked one guy and he told me to "sit tight and they would help soon." Finally a RJG employee talked to a Hertz guy and I got some customer service. At 10:30 I was finally helped but then had to wait till around 10:45 for a clean car. I got the car, put my stuff in the trunk and there was dog hair everywhere. Took my stuff back out to put in back seat and the car reeked of cigarettes. I went back inside and complained and the staff asked me "am I sure?" I was so over it, I was now late to business trip because they took an hour to help me when my appointment was at 10am. I am a gold member, have never had any issue at any Hertz but this place was awful. Huge shame because first time I came here 2 months ago was a great experience.
