Good vibes overall, a few small things they could work on .. but don't we ALL have a few things we could tweak? Thanks so much you guys.

If you're looking for a new stylist I would proceed with caution. Should have known when I had to call the day of my appointment to make sure it was scheduled-no text etc., like other salons as a reminder. I was assured I was on the books. So I arrive to be told Bennis isn't there yet. I should point out I'm a new client. I share I had just called a couple of hours prior and if there was an issue why wasn't I given a heads up then? The front desk gal says, "She's always late". Are you serious? I asked them why do they schedule like they did? She said, "It's not my fault, she's always late". I should have walked out then but I asked what her ETA was. Another gal came over and said she could 'get me started'. I said as a new client, I just wasn't getting a good feeling about the whole experience and said to cancel my appointment and left. I understand life happens, but to get no apology and be told this was how it always was, just wasn't a fit for me. Now I'm left trying to find a new salon...again. Just want to prevent this from happening to someone else.

I just got reunited with Bennis after the salon moved from their old location on Creedmoor Rd. I could not be happier!! Bennis has such a great eye, you can totally trust her with your locks!

Bennis did such a wonderful job on my hair. I think she's probably the best stylist that I've had, and I used to pay quite a bit more when I lived in NYC for haircuts. She did a great job of understanding the texture and quality of my hair, and listening to the overall problems that I have (sometimes colicky and frizzy) and adapting the style (longer thicker layers but also quite a bit of variation). The end result looked amazing and she will definitely be my stylist from now on!

This place was quaint and clean. I called on to many places on MLK for a trim. This place scheduled me in. I started with a wash and got water in my ears. I get how difficult it is for anyone to eliminate any type of water splashing. In this case It wasn't a splash or so I had water consistently running into my ears and that was not the greatest feeling. The stylist listened to my needs very carefully and is kind...I asked for distinct layers and showed pictures. Her recommendations made sense. My hair still fell flat and I wasn't satisfied with it so much so that I cut my own hair when I got home. When it came time for the blow dry - no heat protectant product was applied and I could see steam coming off my hair. When the stylist was combing my wet hair she was hitting my ears a lot with the comb and it hurt. What's with this post and my ears lol. They aren't kidding when they say shampoo and blow dry. Styling not included. My hair was just blow dried. I give 3 stars bc I do believe my stylist put true effort and attention to my hair.

Love Argan Hair salon... I have gone for years to have Bennis cut my hair. When I first started going my hair looked horrible... bad color and bad style. I love the way Bennis has gotten to know me and how fabulous she does my hair... she takes such great care to get to know what customers want and find a style that is perfect! My daughter also went for highlights and she LOVES her hair. She had never had highlights before and once again Bennis knew exactly what was perfect for her and so natural and much more healthy!

A great experience! I think I've finally found my salon. Sia did a great job with my hair - she didn't weigh it down with tons of products and didn't try to sell me on any extra services or products that I didn't want. This is probably the first time I've walked out of a salon and really loved my hair. The prices were also very reasonable. I'll definitely be going back!

I was looking for a good place to do my hair in Raleigh and came upon this salon. Did not like how my hair turned out nor the price. Was given one price initially and it increased by the end of my appointment. Wont be going back here. Don't recommend this place.

I usually don't write reviews, and I gave myself about three weeks to calm down, but I feel I need to share my experience. I am new to the area, looking for a nice stylist, so after reading the good reviews on Yelp, I called this place and made an appointment a week or so in advance. When I showed up for my appointment, the woman at the reception was at a loss and couldn't find my name. I told her I had an appt with Mel, and she told me that was her. Instead of apologizing for the confusion and rescheduling me, she proceeded to call another woman, who I assume is the owner, and she told me "sure, sure you have an appointment, come on back and we'll take care of you!". Bottom line: I spent FIVE hours in that place! FIVE HOURS! Not because my hair is difficult or because I had anything special done, just because these folks were understaffed and overbooked, and not willing to lose a buck by turning away clients. I, like most women, like to have my own stylist, build a "working relationship". In this place, I had at least three people doing my hair at different times. They left me waiting WAY TOO LONG with color in my hair, I'm surprised it didn't fall out. When I finally complained about the time, two women jumped to dry my hair, which was extremely painful, but at that point my butt was numb from sitting there and I was just ready to LEAVE ASAP. It was the worst experience ever! And for about $200, you could at least OFFER me some water, coffee, something. I had to ASK for water. I think a snip and clip place would be more professional. On a different note, I am originally from a non-English speaking country myself, but when surrounded by English speaking people, OUT OF COURTESY, I speak English, because I don't want to be rude. It is incredibly ignorant and rude for three women to surround a person (me, in this case) and look at my hair and speak a language I don't understand. I do NOT recommend this place at all. Stay away, unless you have $$ and 5 plus hours to waste on a Saturday.
