I had such an amazing experience at The Melting Pot! I was very surprised by the level of dedication by the servers. Shout out to Mark for great service!

Good food, lovely service. This is not an in and out kinda place to eat. Clear your evening for a fun night

It's an experience for sure. We had fun but it is wicked expensive and you should not expect a quick meal. However, definitely something to try. Service was fantastic, though we suspect our server had to serve both sides of the restaurant which seems brutal. Nonetheless he didn't let on and served us graciously.

The place didn’t live up to its hype. It’s basically ripping you off of cheese which honestly you can diy at home with no difficulties. Food is mediocre and all the salsa is too salty for my taste. The ambience and service is why I’m giving this a 3 star.

It was a great experience. It was my first time and the waitress, Olivia was very thorough in explaining everything. The food was great, the drinks were great. I loved the Cajun chicken and the potstickers. I would definitely go back!

Food was excellent. On the pricey side, but what do you expect. Overall service was good but unbelievably slow. On the plus side I was not expecting to be filled up before dessert. Very deliciously deceptive

Our 17 year old son decided to celebrate his birthday at the Melting Pot. The party of five all ordered the four-course meal and enjoyed it from the cheese fondue, salads, entree assortments from beef, chicken, pork, seafood, and pasta through the final chocolate fondue finale. With five at our table we had two choices for everything! Even for three teenage boys it was a lot of food. You can take it home. Our waiter was fine with packaging up chocolate and dippers to go. We had one strange mishap, our waiter was grinding pepper and the pepper-grinder shattered sending glass across the table. He was very professional, cleared everything away and brought out fresh plates, drinks, napkins, everything! We did have to start over with making the cheese fondue, but we were not in a hurry. This is a slow paced meal, expect to spend a couple hours and enjoy the experience. We were there almost 3, but we did have the start-over. I was surprised when no manager checked in with us over it. Also no compensation was given on our check.

I made reservations to go to the Melting Pot with my girlfriend for our anniversary. We arrived early in a pouring rain storm. We had two choices for our wait - a crammed full lobby or a crammed full tiny little bar. We chose the bar and I had to go make the bartender serve us drinks - NO SERVICE whatsoever!!

This place will always be near and dear to me. They had me at melted cheese... but seriously I've been a part of the Melting Pot's Club Fondue for years. I always specifically watch for Ladies Night Out because they have 3 Course meals for half the price. I've come for numerous ladies night events, date nights, and birthdays. I always make reservations through Open Table and have never had a problem being seated. I've always had great service and I always order the same thing so I know it will be good. Typically I order the Wisconsin cheddar, but sometimes I'll venture out to try their new cheeses. I always get the surf and turf and the Coq Au Vin (Red wine) Cooking style. Hands down the best one. My favorite chocolate is the flaming turtle. I honestly just love that they set it on fire... and they let me change it from milk chocolate to dark chocolate. Every birthday and anniversary, I get free chocolate covered strawberries at the end of the meal. They will send you a coupon via e-mail if you sign up for club fondue.

The meal was superb though they were so busy the wait to be seated with a reservation exceeded an hour. Once seated there were long pauses between courses that worsened the overall delay in seating later arrivals. The staff was courteous and attentive despite the crush of patrons. Children are not recommended for this venue. Staff offered complimentary champagne as partial compensation for the delay in seating.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a fundraiser for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund that was hosted by the Melting Pot. The restaurant is under new ownership and has been expanded and completely renovated. If you have not visited lately the renovations are definitely worth checking out! More importantly, new owners are a local family who are big supporters of NCSU. They hosted an extremely nice fundraiser for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and truly are a class act. I can't wait to go back!

We went during lunch with 6 people. The service would have been better at McDonald's. When ordered a coffee the spoon had food caked on it. The waiter rarely checked on us we had to constantly go to the hostess because our waiter never came around. Then after the 4th time the hostess helped us, the waiter came and said that he had another party that's why he wasn't coming to our table. For the first time being there put a sour taste in the entire party's mouths. With paying as much as we did and voicing the issues as many times as we did, don't waste your money. I had many people tell me that other locations were way better but we were going to a show in Raleigh. Definitely will not be coming back to this location.Definitely a negative memory for my birthday.

I went for my 2 year anniversary. Planned it out made rEservations and everything. Picked this spot cause we went here to celebrate our engagement back in 2017. The food was awesome as expected but the service was terrible. Our server just did not care about us. He gave us the wrong cheese app, we got a cocktail that was made incorrectly, asked for it to be fixed and waited 20 minutes. I got the wine flight and had to ask for it on every entree, even though it's supposed to come out with it. Not sure if it was just a bad day or he just flat out did not care. But when you pay $140 for the bill you expect great service. Very disappointed

I would rather spend my money on crack . Horrible experience . Never got the food I was supposed to cook for myself ????!! Then you charge me $100?? This place really was bad all the way around . Horrible x 100,000,000. Service sucked too. I got kids and no time to get out in 6 years so here I am wasting the time I built up to get a couple hour out with my wife and friends and then no food!!!!!!! I really hate this place

Well first off I didn't take any pictures because there are already plenty on Yelp AND we just dug right in! My boyfriend and I came for Triangle Restaurant Week and it did not disappoint. We were seated in the new expanded area of the restaurant and it was early so we had the area all to ourselves for a while which was nice. I did not catch our server's name which I regret because she was fabulous. Very attentive, very knowledgeable, funny. She took great care of us. We had the 4 course meal and as always it was wonderful and VERY filling. We have been coming to The Melting Pot for the last 6 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. The cheese fondue is always great. The salads are very good. The assortments and presentation of meats are very well done and the dessert is the star. I hate to say we could not finish our entire meal and I felt like I was going to die for about 3 hours afterwards but it is so worth it!!!

An experience and a half! You come for the experience! Don't come starving because you will be frustrated. You have to cook your own food. You choose a starter and entree and dessert. You choose a cooking method. And you get brief instructions oN how long to leave your meat in the sauces in order for them to cook. I would ignore some of these "servers" and pay attention to cooking the chicken properly! Salmonella is no joke. Pay attention to what the cards read on the table and not just the server. 2 min for chicken? Bubble guts anyone?? I am a cook and baker so I knew better and everything came out great. I would get the 1/2 for 2 people for starters, full for entree and 1/2 for 2 people for dessert. If you are basic hungry, what I said works for you both. I did the Caribbean mojo. Next time I may do the skillet but we shall see since the skillet seemed to create a bit more smoke than I would like. However the skillet did look like you could SEE the food cooking unlike when you have your meats inside the pot. Totally up to you. I did the Wisconsin cheese combo. And I did the dark chocolate dulce dessert. Full disclosure: I am very picky and because I cook and bake well... I expect very specific flavors.

One of the VERY best places to dine! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our waitress Megan was the absolute best! Very kind and courteous! This is the only restaurant to gift me with a birthday card! Just so thoughtful and sweet! We will definitely be going back! Thank you @ The Melting Pot for the perfect dining experience!!

This place was delicious! They had cheese fondue, salads, main entree (meats) fondue, and chocolate dessert fondue. But crazy expensive pricing! The amount of food was not quite worth the price, but i guess you are also paying for the "fondue experience"...

We were visiting Raleigh and some surrounding areas and desired to visit the Melting Pot that was a favorite place of ours in the early 90s. It was disappointing to see that the quality seems to have diminished and the pricing has doubled. We did enjoy it enough to be satisfied, but not refreshed with elevated memories of a past favorite restaurant. For the money, it doesn't seem to be worth going back.

Just not a great experience. The cost per person is ridiculous for the quality of the food. Kraft shredded cheese, stale bread, three day old chopped veggies.

Very disappointed in my first Melting Pot experience and for the New Year's Eve dinner package that was purchased. Service was terrible. Had to wait 30 min for a table even with a credit card held reservation @10pm. The purpose of paying $100 for the dinner was the experience for New Year's celebration. The meal which was disgusting, was very rushed, we never got refills, and was never asked about getting adult beverages from the bar which we wanted and never had the opportunity to order. The restaurant itself is unaesthetically pleasing. It looks disorganized as the service, dinghy, old, outdated, and dirty. The entry way lacks comfortable seating for waiting and the bar looks terrible. I truly was so disappointed. All the staff participated in a champagne toast where the guests couldn't even see. They failed to involve the guests which was part of the package. Management failed everyone on this experience. I will probably never go to another Melting Pot.

Everything was good until a waiter spilled hot water right off the stove on my bf. Being this was our annviersary dinner, I had to say something. I approached a manager after our meal (yes we paid for it) and told her I felt the waiter wasn't trained. She clearly couldn't care less. she didnt ask where we were seated so she could talk to the waiter (which was all I asked for.. not a free meal) AND she didn't ask if my boyfriend was ok. Just stood at me with a blank stare and said sorry. Never going back to this location. The way we were treated was not worth the couple of hundred spent on a meal.

Interior needs renovating. Waitstaff were not up to the par for the price point. Cheese fondue is good, entree is basically boiled meat...

This was my 1st Fondue restaurant experience. It was interesting. Worth it for a new experience. Cooking my food at the table is not my preferred concept for a relaxing meal out. Cast iron skillet prepared was a good choice. Service was extremely slow - over two hours to get to & thru main course, so I got my dessert to go. This leisure service concept is probably better enjoyed with 1 or 2 friends & good conversation vs solo.
