Waiter was nice but seems like a place thats tryna look/be bougie but isn't. I ordered the wine flight which means a different glass of wine (4 total) comes out with each course in the 4-course experience but she didn't bring out my wine until we had to remind her and it was brought out the end of the second course already. Meat wasn't that good; overrated. It was my first time and i wouldn't go here again. Only put two stars instead of one star cause the waiter was very friendly/personable.

This is my new place to eat! Great food and even more wonderful staff! I definitely recommend going here and while you are there ask for Alyssa B as your server! She is

This place differs from other types of restaurants because to utilize its full potential you have to get the four course experience. Everything is prepared in the kitchen except the meats since we cook it ourselves at the table in one of the cooking styles. When you walk in, you can tell that they are in the process of renovating. The dining room looks well lit and very nice. I love the floors and the new light fixtures. The food is awesome too, but you got to make sure you got two hours to spare because this type of experience can not be rushed. I would definitely recommend.

Service was decent, not what i imagined for a nicer spot. First time I've been there in decades. I remember going to the one back home in Chicago and it was a very classy place. I saw patrons in flip flops and tshirts at this one. I felt extremely overdressed in a suit and had I known, would not have chosen this plane for our first wedding anniversary.

It was a new experience, everything was perfect, comfortable, low lights, tasty cheese sauces and chocolate sauces. The meat selection is also good. Nice change up.

Food was amazing as always, but server was a bit slow - there was a table beside ours with a larger party that ate the entirety of their meal much faster than us. For me, the server is a large part of the experience since they are the most knowledgeable and helpful!

Delicious food, great atmosphere, great experience!! Booked through their website & noted that we were celebrating an anniversary & they even gave us a thoughtful little card.

My husband and I decided to try “the Melting Pot” for the first time to celebrate our one year anniversary. They did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were all incredibly nice. I highly recommend for any of your special occasions!

I really wanted to love this location but sadly will not be back. I'm a fan of Melting Pot in general and love fondue but previously had only been to the Durham location as far as the Triangle locations went. This one is dingy and poorly cared for at least in the section we were sat. We went for an early anniversary dinner and when we were sat, despite there being open tables, the host put us next to a boisterous family of four. I understand when you dine out there are people there for all occasions but there were plenty of tables that were more romantic. There was peeling paint on the windowsill and you had to beg for silverware. It just seemed run down in the section we were sitting in. Our server was nice enough. We told her we were celebrating when she asked but then basically got semi neglected for the rest of the night. I know we didn't go on a traditionally busy night, but we had huge gaps during which we were waiting on food, waiting on drinks to be refilled, waiting to ask for silverware, just a lot of waiting. There was another server who came to assist at one point and he was fantastic, friendly and engaging and attentive. I wish he'd been our server. Lol. Also, at all fondue locations I've been to, you have cheese fondue skewers then different skewers for your entree. Well the server looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for two new skewers as my cheese skewers were completely coated in cheese and I didn't want gruyere in my coq au vin broth *shrug*. She reluctantly gave me two skewers she had on her tray. You can't tell me that Melting Pot is hurting for skewers and that dishwashing costs are driving them to the poor house?! Also, I've worked food service so I totally understand the desire to start cleaning up and breaking down before close but when people come in for a romantic evening dinner could you please not continuously push that stupid 1980s crumb catcher black vacuum cleaner up and down our aisle for the duration of the entire entree? When people are paying Melting Pot prices they don't want to hear "scratch-scratch-scratch-scratch-scratch-scratch" their entire dinner. Of course another couple came in and the host sat them basically on top of us in the completely empty section (you can group people to minimize hustle for a server without sitting people on top of each other, I promise it's possible) and even they commented on the crumb vacuum in the nicest way possible saying "oh did someone make a mess over there?" And the server responded "no we just do this at the end of every night under each table and then vacuum in the morning." Yup!!! Do you hear yourself lady?! The end of each night! The end! Not while people are dining in your section trying to enjoy their food. Of course she and another server weren't on the same page so she finished and during dessert a different server came and did it to the same section all over again. Glad they're so focused on the supposed cleaning aspect of their job but maybe they could be more focused on the serving aspect of their job. If they're needing to clean that much before the restaurant is even at two hours to close then the management needs to take a serious look at their breakdown policies because it's a huge turn off to customers and I will not be back because of it. For those not looking for a romantic experience: food 4.5/5! Coq au vin is my personal recommendation for cooking style.

The Melting Pot is a chain fondue restaurant, that specializes in multi-course meals (cheese fondue, salad, main course fondue, chocolate fondue). It is not cheap, but it is a fun dining experience. You will want reservations. We dined last night for Mother's Day with our two children, and it was a lovely experience. Pros: The food was delicious, and anytime we ran low on a dipping item (bread, green goddess dip, etc), staff were delighted to bring us more. For Mother's Day, they had beautiful little corsages for the moms, which was such a nice touch. Our waitress was truly fantastic. One of our children has a dairy allergy, and the waitress was on top of checking ingredients for everything to make sure our child was safe. They actually have vegan cheese for fondue, but we did not want to subject our whole table to vegan cheese, so we did not try it. They also had vegan semi-sweet chocolate that could be used in the dessert, and we did have that. No one at the table could tell it was vegan, and the kitchen was kind enough to make a separate dairy-free plate of dippers for my child. We really appreciated this, given how busy they were Mother's Day. The only things that keep this Melting Pot from 5 stars were the hostesses, who seemed indifferent (or maybe just overly busy??) to guests entering and the bathrooms that were not as clean as I would have expected or hoped--could be they were just overwhelmed by Mother's Day. We certainly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return...especially now that we know they have vegan cheese available and the possibility of reserving a two-burner table.

The melting pot is one of my favorite places to dine. This location has a great staff and great customer service. It's a comfort and quiet place to dine. You will enjoy your food and dessert. I recommend getting the flaming turtle chocolate fondue, it's amazing! Definitely worth a visit, check them out.

My family and I went for restaurant week and what a treat it was! We loved every part of our meal. It was a great way to try something new. Our server Victor was the absolute best! Food was fresh and plentiful. Used some of their house seasoning to flavor the steak. We chose to grill our meats instead of using the broths. A well rounded kids meal was a must because my little one is not that into cheese. She had the most fun grilling her food. The s'mores dessert fondue was beautifully delicious Overall, I would visit this location again, restaurant week or not. I felt it was a real bargan, but I'd pay regular price after this visit!

You have to really enjoy fondue to enjoy this property. Others in my party simply enjoyed everything. I'm not a fondue person so it's hard to rate things. Plenty of parking but the traffic around the location is very heavy and there's new stores opening nearby, it's hard to imagine how the traffic will flow.

There are some very nice 'date' places in Raleigh and The Melting Pot consistently ranks near the top in our book. It comes very, very close to getting a five-star rating from me with only a few nits keeping it from a perfect score. The restaurant is in a convenient location just off of the beltline and Wake Forest Road with more than sufficient parking. There is a small, full-service bar that is mostly used as an area for people waiting for their seats. While known for their wine cellar, we've mostly just enjoyed some of their cocktails (such as the very tasty Yin and Yang Martini which is decorated with a namesake pattern of swirls in shaved chocolate). [If you don't know what fondue is, read below, otherwise skip to the next paragraph!] The are is broken mostly into cozy nooks for 2-4 people but they also have tables where the dividers can be removed for larger parties. Each table has at least one fondue pot heater. The pot is used for the cheese appetizer, the main course and the chocolate dessert. The pot is shared by the diners to keep the cheese/chocolate melted so you can dip things in it or to keep broth/oil hot so you can cook your main dish. Before I get to the meat of the review, let me say that the Lovely Wife and I have been going to TMP for many, many years. It has changed locations once, owners at least once and menus several times. So we can be said to be somewhat experienced! We usually go hungry so that we can hit all four courses but popping in for just cheese or just dessert (or both!) is not a bad idea. The salads are uniformly tasty and our current favorites are the Apple Bacon Spinach (Spinach, Crimini Mushrooms, Sliced Egg, Spicy Pecans, Granny Smith Apples, Apple Bacon Vinaigrette) or the California (Mixed Greens, Candied Pecans, Gorgonzola Cheese, Tomatoes, Housemade Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette). After that we dived into the cheese course. You can't go wrong with the Classic Alpine, Wisconsin Cheddar or the Fiesta. This time we did the Wisconsin Cheddar dipping the bread cubes and apples to whet our appetites. As fans of both Wisconsin cheese (and beer), this is nearly our default choice! Next is the entree course. The Lovely Wife is a vegetarian and gets, naturally, the Good Earth Vegetarian while I get the Steak Lovers. The exact components of each change over time but are generally a good mix though, on occasion, some less than successful items slip in. Eggplant? Really?! We have always done the oil cooking but my daughter says the broth is very tasty so we'll try that next time. Here's where my main complaint comes in. Over the years, the number of dipping sauces has gotten lower and lower and, this last time, they removed one of the only two frying coatings. The joy of the entree course is the VARIETY and this march toward a homogenized experience is a terrible idea in my opinion. For this one thing, they lost an entire star on this review. To round out the meal (it was our anniversary, so we did all four courses!), we had to have some chocolate! Let me be perfectly clear: ALL the options here are good. All of them! Sure, there are somethings I don't prefer (melted chocolate on pineapple?) but the star attraction, the velvety-smooth and satisfying sweet chocolate is unbeatable. It's only due to a very, very large meal that we don't lick the pot every time. What's left to say? Other than once, the service is impeccable though the prices are a tad high so bring a full wallet and a empty stomach! You'll be glad you did!

First time at the Raleigh location. Previously introduced to the fondue experience in another state. I enjoyed it as usual. We had the four course experience, I was stuffed halfway through the 3rd course, and I was pretty hungry beforehand. The waitress was great, fast talker, but she was sweet.

Had a great experience here last night, everything was great , the food the drinks, the service. We did a reservation with roses on the table and a framed picture, the staff was on top of everything, 100% would recommend and will go again

This was an excellent place to eat. The idea of being able to cook your food and having a variety was great. You get a starter of cheese of your choice with breads and fruits to dip, then a salad, main course of meats you choose how to cook then, chocolate dip for dessert with cakes, brownies, fruits and marshmallows! A bit pricey but totally worth it!!

Excellent service! We had the four course experience, the food was fantastic, and the timing of the courses was perfect. Our server brought us extra "dippers" as needed for both the cheese and chocolate courses, and extra veggies for the main course. Always a great experience!

Perfect for a date night or girls night out. Everything was delicious and our server was very friendly. It was our first time so she explained the process and described all of the choices to us.

I had got a gift card for melting card last Christmas. I had always wanted to try melting cheese and chocolate. Because. Gosh it sounds like a dream and who doesn't. I was glad I finally made it out here. We decided to do a four-course experience. I got really confused about how the menu works haha but with help eventually figured it out. I was a bit disappointed you could only pick one type of cheese (when you share two four-course) as the base to dip in. But it made sense. We got some steak, some duck, some salmon and shrimp etc. I liked everything but the duck. For dessert, oh man I was so in love with it. It was such a decadent experience. One thing, I think maybe something was going on with our waitress, service was pretty meh. But. Everyone has some off days. It was still a pleasant experience. If you have not done this ever yet, definitely recommend doing it one time at least!

I really enjoy myself every time I visit The Melting Pot. It is an experience unlike any other- you cook the food yourself. The food is splendid, and the social aspect and bonding experience with others makes this restaurant even better. The low lights add intimacy.

Food and service was fabulous, no complaints at all!! The only reason I took away 1 star is because it's pretty expensive. I wish we could go more often, because it really is a wonderful meal and experience.

We went as a family of four for a birthday lunch for my son. Both sons ordered the lunch special of cheese fondue, salad and chocolate fondue. The cheese fondue had a good flavor. However the serving size for two was half the size it should have been for the price. The California and Spinach salads were good but the Caesar was like something prepackaged from the grocery store. The chocolate fondue was good but again not copious enough. The service was good although the restaurant was so cold that some of us kept our coats on. Our restaurant dollars go much further elsewhere. We will not be back.

I had great service from Katelin! Good recommendations, great Management from Matt who came over to check on us plus other tables (active manager that's good, not lazy, good to see). Awesome staff and good food. Did Cupid's deal tonight with wife ($99) and wasn't disappointed. Recommend with your significant other. Won't be disappointed. Great date night choice. One thing I'd say is the wine flights may need some tweaking in terms of wine selection, not grape choice (grape choice was fine). Otherwise good work!
